Cool grill, glad you got the sponsor, but I’d rather watch a serious review (pros/cons) or a “normal” cooking video using this grill, where I learn something about cooking. I watched the whole thing because I love your stuff, but it feels like I just watched a long ad.
@@arunramachandran5012 there is also a big difference in the amount of income you make from a 1 min ad vs a 10 min ad. If you don't like it just move onto the next video :)
@@daviddman I moved on several months ago when i first posted my reply. I honestly don't understand replies like yours. The point is not about the creator of the video making money or not. Nobody is begrudging them their ad sales money. The point is about the quality of the video itself. Most people would be happy to watch a sponsored video if it also gave enough value to them. That's what differentiates a good product review video from an infomerical shill. You can take this as constructive feedback that it was meant to be. Or as criticism. But getting overly sensitive about constructive feedback is silly.
Excellent video and demonstration on this new model. I’ve looking and reading a lot on the Napoleon Grills for the pass few months and found this new model. In my lifetime I have owned few grills, but in the 19 yrs I’ve own a weber grill because of their build quality and durability, reliability and all around cooking performance that many competitors don’t even come close. I’m currently in the process of purchasing a new one since I gave my weber to someone that needed one and was still in excellent condition. But this Napoleon grills keep popping up every time I start looking on the web, and after watching this video, I think i’m going get a Napoleon grill.
We just picked up a Prestige 500 RSIB today and looked at the Phantom Prestige 500 RSIB. Really liked the matte black and the multi-function shelf but couldn't justify the $500 price difference. The Phantom has the multi-function shelf and cast stainless grates where the Prestige 500 has a regular warming shelf and stainless steel grates, except on the side burner which is cast. Got it assembled this evening and picked up a bunch of steaks at the butcher shop. Can't wait to cookout tomorrow! Love the video showing the variety of things to cook, had never considered pizza but am definitely doing that this week.
I really love this grill man. I have the privilage to set it up for my job. Great video! One thing: when assembling any grill or BBQ in the future, please put the cardboard box, folded flat, underneath it. This way you won't scratch anything
I sear my steaks slightly different. I sear them first, get them caramelized and brown on the outside. Then I cook them on the grill side to the internal temps I want. The searing should close up the meat so the juices don't leak out which gives me a juicy steak at medium-well.
Usually I love Steve's videos, but I've gotta say: Does nobody else here find it a bit strange that he uploaded a 9 minute long advertisement with no real content?
BTW that infrared grate should be moved up into the other holes for the steak and raises it about an inch. The lower is for boiling water according to the salesman as I just bought one.
This is an awesome grill. I wanted to buy it but the price point was a little higher than I wanted to spend. I ended up with the Phantom Rogue 425 instead. about $700 cheaper. The cast stainless steel grates and small size change from 3 burner to 4 in the Phantom is why the cost bumps up. Either way both good grills, but if you have the money go with the Prestige (its just a great all around grill).
Nice grill, one tip though, Make sure when you get ready to cook that you open the lid to your grill before you turn on the gas, so no fumes can build up inside the grill
I have a Napoleon grill and it is bar none the best grill I've ever had. It's a little more expensive, but the customer service and warranty on Napoleon products is outstanding. You can't go wrong!
I found my Napoleon Grill before I found your channel. Both are winners... if mine ever wears out (been five years of amazing BBQ, with sear station and rotisserie, still going strong) I will look at the Phantom, because they had the good sense to get on board with your show. Love your tastes and style... 👌🏻
Receive my Napoleon phantom a few days ago. It is a beast those greats oh my god they are so thick solid cast stainless steel. The BTUs this thing cranks out it’s an amazing grill probably the best one on the market today. I did more or less the same thing you just did chicken legs thick steak and some corn on the cob. I smoked the chicken with a smoke box that Napoleon makes easy Peezy.
@@billmahan6373 I got the stainless and I can tell you it scratches unless you're careful. The performance is absolutely top shelf, I couldn't be happier with it. The sizzle zone has just taken the steaks to a new level. I also got the basket for the rotisserie and it cooks wings like a champ!
Gunna have to go with Webber, for that price point. Single poor cast aluminum body screams longgevity. compared to the friction riveted body of the napoleon, which seems to be 18ga or 22ga SS. The napoleon I would think only lasting 5-6 years( I grill/smoke 3-5 times a week). The Webber looks to be built in a way to be the last grill you buy, considering the solid one-piece cast aluminum body. But this grill does look pretty and has a lot of bells and whistles. Also, those SS Grates look fantastic, although the preheat on them must take a min or two.
There is always a place for 1 smoker, 1 charcoal grill and 1 gas grill. They all get used for various things. You can't sleep on the pure convenience and ease of a gas grill on your back deck.

How is cleanup of the grill I have the stainless steel prestige version of this grill and I think stainless steel just scratches way too easy no matter how careful you are with it me and my wife are fanatics about keeping our grill as clean and new as possible how is it holding up?
