    People in the comments are complaining about the price, but most of the world has no problem paying $1300 for a new iPhone. Get your priorities straight. Yes it’s expensive, but most people spend a ton of money on stuff that is bad for their health, and doesn’t move them forward. Not speaking for everybody, but I think it would be worth it if it’s possible. Consider.

      I have several other methods of cooking a delicious steak. My priority is using my money more wisely and investing in thur better quality meat.
      Weigh your options...
      Pay a ridiculous amount of money on this grill and eat feed lot meat or use a different method of cooking that you most likely already own and use that money for grass fed and finished beef. What's the healthiest option Mike? We don't all sell supplements and do infomercials.

      1- anyone dropping $1300 on an iPhone probably prefers soy to steak.
      2- cast iron skillet.

  • @vashlash6870
    @vashlash6870 Рік тому +11

    High heat does not lock in moisture. Kenji Lopez Alt does experiments on this. Internal doneness of two identical cuts, no matter what temp you cooked them at, will have the same moisture content. Btw much better video on the Otto grill than other ones I've watched.

    • @fridaynightgamefilm
      @fridaynightgamefilm 5 місяців тому +1

      Not overcooking retains moisture. When animal proteins hit about 140 degrees Fahrenheit, they shrink and squeeze out moisture. The outside of a perfectly cooked steak is going to go over this temperature, but most of the center should not. A medium rare steak will be less than 130 degrees F in the center.

    looks nice, but keep in mind a cast iron pan is much cheaper, will survive/outlast that grill, will get similar results and is as convenient to use

    60 dollars for a filet from a high end steak house is cheap! you need to have the grill closer to the heat as there is no char, the steak looks partially steamed on the surface. I am redoing a kitchen and looking at salamaders for even higher temps but still have to find one i like

    A normal grill will burn fat as it drips down from the meat you are cooking. The soot from burned grease doesn't taste good. The Otto Wilde grill, like a commercial broiler (salamander) cooks from the top, so dripping fat doesn't flare up.

      Yes, its designed for meat first and foremost. The body has a much easier time extracting nutrients from meat. Reason we also have similar stomach pH as the carnivores. Also, try feeding a small child veggies instead of meat, and see what happens. Nature has already programmed what is naturally right or wrong.

      @@Highintensityhealth vegan 16 years, almost 40 years old. Male. I train calisthenics and box 6 times a week. Raising my children vegan, they are eleven years old, know three languages, and are already brown belts in karate, which they have trained since they were 5.
      I have blood work from over a year ago and all my vitamin and mineral levels were in range, many at the top end.
      Would you really like a random person on the internet to verify this?? Or are you just hanging on to your outdated beliefs?
