- It was time for Natalie to learn to drive the Jimny offroad. We joined the Suzuki Auto Club for their level 1 driver training. Our instructor Ryno, patiently ran everyone through the basics and by the end of the day we had a group of confident and excited drivers! It was great to learn how to maximize using the Jimny! So all in all we had a fantastic day at DeWildt 4x4 course, offroading and 4x4ing, really getting to play with the Jimny and have some fun!

In Indonesia it's sold out everywhere, some dealer has up to 250 orders, and the wait time is 4 years. I don't get why they don't just shift the production to Indonesia or India where they have a big plant.

This video shows what the new Jimny is capable of, even in standard spec, a superb little offroader and okay on the highway too, ordered my Jimny in England in the first week of January 2019 and collected it in the first week of February 2020,certainly a lot more civilised on the road than my previous Land Rovers, it was worth the wait.
Awesome Jimmy ! ! Have ordered one in february... will be delivered march 2020. My Jimny2013 was hit by another car in january. Decided to wait for a new Jimmy, just love this car.
Well done design....reminiscent of the Defender. Squared boxy shape trucks are always timeless designs.

I wish we have a good training ground & faculty for 4x4 driving here in the Philippines! And if we have, I'll matriculate. This a 4x4 for is a good skill set esp. during rescue missions since we are hit by about 20 typhoons a year.
Very valid point! Knowing how to 4x4 and safely recover vehicles in muddy and dangerous situations is a great skill 👌🏻👌🏻

pj tren yes ,old defender is the ultimate military workhorse ! Not all defenders are unreliable! The Land Rover wolf which is the military grade defender is the most capable military 4x4 which had won many wars along with Toyota 4x4s in terror hit nations of the gulf and Persian countries!
Wonderful training!! The procedure of first walking through the course is good. It's gives an idea of the inclination. Jimny capability is really awesome 👌👌👌.🤩🤩

as no diff locks are yet available i therefore remind you that the m/t bfg km3 option will minimize the issues of grip and spin, without compromising blacktop performance or consumption
can't wait to personally testing them on snow soon, even though I've seen them perform extremely well

I absolutely love the look of the Jimny! Makes me consider one whenever I see it.
Only issue for me is it’s impractical storage capacity (though I love the minimalist size), but mostly the weak engine.
I test drove one and, although the manual transmission is smooth, it’s super high revving and quite underwhelming on takeoffs and high speeds.
They should’ve made a 1.6L engine at least.
I heard there may be a 5 door one..maybe that would have some storage issue fixed?

C'mon Suzuki. Get this vehicle over here. We don't all want bloated Yankee 4x4 freighters or shopping mall diva tart carts. You pulled out of the North American market in 2013 mainly from poor sales in the US but sales were strong here (despite a population of nly 10% of the US population).
Canada would suck up this little truck like a fat kid eating jello. I'm on my 3rd modified XL7 but supply is running out. And the post-Samurai version are nothing as good as the original...or the new Jimny. I want one.

Jimnys are sweet.. I just wish they had a little more horsepower. I have a 2 door 1989 2 door Jeep Cherokee that weighs 3,300 pounds and has a 178 hp 220 lb ft torque engine and the Jimny weighs 3100 lbs with 80 horsepower engine.. The wheelbase is the most attractive thing to me about this vehicle.. you could go up and over just about anything with a little more juice I think. Reminds me a lot of my 2 door Jeep Cherokee.. shame Jeep hasn't made a worthwhile Cherokee since 2001 when they stopped the 4.0L Inline 6
I saw a 2 door Cherokee the other day, parked right next to my Jimny, and it was so awesome! Not much wider or longer, so very interesting vehicle! Would be a very fun build!

It's perfect in every way, including looking baller, which older jimnies do not, and fitting in my driveway sized for horses ^^

I would like to know your opinion about lockers on the new Jimny. Are you ever missing lockers when you are off roading your jimny? Does the Jimny really need lockers? Do you think lockers is going to be a future upgrade on your jimny? Thanks. 😊
Thank you so much for the kind words Andreas! I don’t think the Jimny NEEDS lockers, but it would feel safer having lockers that’s for sure. Traction control tends to have a jerky nature to it, so it engages quite suddenly, and works well but I would prefer the control of a locker. If you have the money for one, then go for it, but I wouldn’t go out my way to install lockers

Hey man love your videos. Wanted to know if the jimny has an adaptive cruise control and what's you fuel consumption in normal everyday driving??
Not on my vehicle hey bud! Consumption was between 9L/100 and 12.5L/100 depending on the wind and speed.
Have you done a video where you sit down and explain your setup? I like your videos but you always have a lot of extras in them.
As someone who is getting a jimny for their first 4x4 car i did enjoy this video but i would also love one that gives a good explanation into the gear and brands everyone uses as Australia does not have to much gear for the new jimny.
There is a comparison from unsealed 4x4 on UA-cam featuring some modded Australian Jimny’s. The Roam Jimny’s bumpers are 👌 but unfortunately probably not available in Australia.

Hi, started loving the suzuki Jimny. I have one question, when you fold the rear seat for a child rear access, does the original driver position remains the same upon folding seat back or the driver needs to readjust seat constantly. A bit like Memory seat some vehicle have.
You will need to reset the seat every time
Hi, Thanks for your reply. In my country MU, we have it in GLX version. I was at first loving the renault Duster. Upon viewing all the videos of Suzuki Jimny, and its skills, i am unable to turn back to Duster. Part time 4WD is already available in jimny with LSD. In the duster AWD, the price would already jump high enough for me to take a 4x4 Mazda Bt50 2.2 Diesel Turbo. I have already made my choice. In terms of cargo space, it wont be a concern. I enjoy mild muddy, dry offroading and kayak fishing.

All of it required low range 👍🏻 it’s just safer and more stable that way. Some cow boys could do a lot of it in 4Hi though
