I had this laptop back in the day. It's still sitting on a shelf in storage. It was one of the early laptops to feature switchable graphics and with the massive battery and running on Intel Integrated graphics, I could get 15+ hours. Unfortunately I could never get the drivers to work on anything but Windows 7 and because of the way the switchable graphics were designed, that meant that you were locked out of the 335M if you used anything but Windows 7. The next generation of this laptop used a more standard dual graphics setup that you still see today. Unfortunately you had to use the special driver from the Alienware/Dell site which was wildly out of date.

It's not really advanced though atm, this thing is more 2007-ish rather than actually 2010. The graphics card's the only thing to consider to buy this back then. I even doubt it would run GTA 4 properly at the time
Probably the only gaming 11.6 laptop beside this is the Clevo W110ER (which are mostly known as Sager NP6110 / ORIGIN PC EON 11-S) It has a more modern Core i series processor based on Sandy/Ivy Bridge architecture and Nvidia GT 650. Nice video! I wish i had that laptop
I have the R3 version with Core i7 , 16GB Ram and a great GT 540m 2GBm it still rocks for oldschool WXP gaming
I remember when those came out, it was wildly expensive in my country, something like 15+ minimun wages all together
I would've enjoyed this computer back in the day. XD
Loved Windowblinds. I used to make skins for it back then: Eminence and Black were a couple that I made for Windowblinds and a few other Stardock programs.
im so close to completing my windows collection i have vista 7 8.1 and 10 im just trying to get xp now
This was a cool video but I was left waiting for some performance tests :((
2010: nah 1 headphone port isn't enough we need 2
2021: headphone port? Whats that? Never heard about that
I dreamt about this laptop and Alienware machine back in the day
Bro I was hoping for some benchmarks but nice laptop there
He is f*****g busy!
The castafiore in tintin call capitain haddock capitain bardock
Yep. I’ve got an Alienware R11 so I’m very familiar with AW’s customization
I really like your videos 😁😁😂👌
Thankyou so much, Feddie!
I remember my Asus A42Jr, also in 2010, $700 back then with i3-350M, ATi HD 5470 1GB and 4GB RAM, ah memories...
oh god, I used to have one of these. I beat Witcher 2 on 10 FPS with it.
the name "AlienGUIse" has some "XPize" vibe to it...
Yes
Omg the background music. Hello other DunkPods fans !
i dont care what the super customized people say, i would definitely not go the mac route but having a out of the box complete and intricate product like this is awesome
Wow this is really awesome! I didn't know technology was that advanced at that time.
Then again, I was a young girl so-
@@idkanymore3382 ???
It's not really advanced though atm, this thing is more 2007-ish rather than actually 2010. The graphics card's the only thing to consider to buy this back then. I even doubt it would run GTA 4 properly at the time
Probably the only gaming 11.6 laptop beside this is the Clevo W110ER (which are mostly known as Sager NP6110 / ORIGIN PC EON 11-S)
It has a more modern Core i series processor based on Sandy/Ivy Bridge architecture and Nvidia GT 650. I used to have one and it was a very portable yet powerful machine.
Rare Alienware theme was probably done with WindowBlinds.
My very 1st laptop was a toshiba satalite circa 1995. It didn’t have windows, but it did have Cal Trans controller software to change traffic signage. I’m glad I didn’t have the cables to connect it to signage, otherwise every sign in Sacramento would be displaying some very vulgar language!
Great video!
Thankyou so much!
such a great wee laptop at the time. would be good if someone made something similar again of this size. I know there is smaller ones out there with IGP graphics but this had a proper dedicated card in it
Nice background music mate xD
Thankyou so much, Pattisonyosh!
Naaah, still too modern for my 'Pre Dell - Alienware laptop Collector' taste :P
my dad had an m11x when it launched and had one in 2020 he also had a m15x and a m17x back in the day and in 2019 my first laptop was a m15x i wish i knew i could donate laptops cause i would have done that
im got the m15x at 13
Please make more classic Alienware laptop videos…PLEASE.
Hello I'm just curious, it has pciex16 slot for wlan. And free pcie slot for wwan. Does the wwan pcie is also x16 pcie slot?
you should do some gaming on that laptop. of course with games from that time period like 2005-2013
I remember I really wanted an M11X back in 2011-2012 lol.
Time Travel? I still have an Alienware M11. I had to change the battery once. But it is still a great machine (on Linux). It has an internal self testing suit inside BIOS, It has 2 video cards,. It is sturdy: a big guy put me to the ground while crossing the street with his elbow while obliviously talking on the phone. I fell on my backpack with my M11x. It suffered nothing. It has a high power USB that can be turned on on BIOS to charge devices while its turned off.
Awesome video, Michael!
Thanks!
Hey! You should do more Time Travel video's! That will be fun!
Thanks!
