Omg, never expected you to find and own a copy of the Nanami Madoka Windows disc!
That's way rare to see nowadays, so hope you make a dedicated video to it as it's part of a product series that Microsoft made in Japan, they even made an anime commercial based off internet explorer. Seriously, never expected this and was the first thing that caught my attention. Windows ME and 2000 also have anime versions but idk if you can find those on the web.

Her last name is Madobe, not Madoka.

Oh yeah, OS-tans. Almost every piece of software had one, although they were mostly Fan made, The Windows 7, and I think also the Windows 8 one were the only official ones.

Never thought I'd see the Nanami Madobe Windows CD,
I have literally spent 10 years looking for that CD.
whats on that disk?
Speaking of which, I have been looking for such stuff since 2015 and I remember finding a Turkish site selling Windows 7 DSP Ultimate (which is of course the Japanese version of Windows 7 Ultimate including Nanami Madobe themes) installation CDs from second hand. I hope they're still being sold and not sold out because I'm planning on buying one as soon as possible.

Correction to the info I gave, not all Windows 7 DSP editions include Nanami Madobe themes. There's a limited set of copies of them for this.
Wow, that's a lot of beta stuff! Did you know that some beta versions of Microsoft Plus! 95 are up for sale on eBay as auctions right now? As an archivist, I wish I could obtain them, but I'd rather save up my money on other things at this point. Maybe you could purchase and review them unless you already have them preserved somewhere.
That Nanami Madobe disc got me excited for this vid and I hope you do the dedicated video for it and other OS-tans in the future. Would also love to see the Microsoft cards being played, just to see what designs they used for the cards.

21:21 that's nanami madobe, the windows 7-tan. Because anime is so popular in Japan, Microsoft released anime-versions of windows with custom themes and other exclusive stuff.

The original inspiration for this marketing campaign came from the popularity of a fan-made internet comic "OS-tan". It was all about turning different operating systems to anime girls. From what I've read, it was quite popular in Japan.
Well you do have to get the discs with her sisters.
Azure, the 8 Twins, 10, and the youngest 11. There is also the Taiwan made Silverlight girl and the IE/ Edge girl who fought off the evil chrome robots in her premere film.

Beta versions of Microsoft software is always interesting as you see the development cycle before a operating system is released.
I’m definitely subscribing for that Nanami video. I always wanted one back in the day (being a huge weeb myself) but I never found a way to actually get one, specially since I live in Costa Rica, and importing stuff from Japan back in the day was very difficult.

When I've seen 21:05, I was already hyped since I know who she is. Yes, she is Nanami Madobe, the Windows 7 mascot, who has her own dedicated Facebook page, which a Microsoft employee runs (or used to run) of course!

Really happy to see some stuff related to OS-Tans, yeah it might sound weeb and all but it was a very interesting way of doing promotions of Microsoft related stuff in japan and it has a very interesting backstory with all the different versions of windows and even Mac and Linux being represented by some anime gals.
Much of things like 95-Tan being a very traditional, kinda housewife that carries a katana everywhere she goes because she was involved in the Mac vs Windows war and she always thinks a Mac could suddendly strike from the shadows like some kind of war PTSD.
Me-Tan being a very clumsy maid and often freezing and zoning out all of the sudden representing the infamous moment that cemented the reputation of Windows Me being a "BSOD incompatible mess"
2K-Tan being the proffesional looking and often too focused on financial and other proffesional aspects but being bad at anything that isnt buisness, and XP-Tan being the "super powerful OS-Tan" where most of the time she goes around eating rice all the time in a way mocking the infamous "Windows XP eats all your resources all time" and also not being a very organized OS and most of the time forgetting to cleaning stuff for you.
ah, Nanami Madobe, the Windows 7 anime mascot. She had her own desktop theme and browser. Pretty cool idea - they should have done it again for Windows 10.
They have already made one for windows 10.
Windows 10 has Madobe Tooko, its own anime mascot. There is a desktop theme for it floating around which even includes system notification sounds.

She was a huge deal in Japan for her soft-moe personality and as one of the few official "OS-tans" or "Operating System Persona", literal characters themed on an OS. She was part of a huge marketing campaign from Microsoft to sell Windows 7 in Japan, launched in part due to people staying on Windows 95/98 even after Vista already came and went (This is also why over HALF of Touhou's phase one games were built for 98). The campaign was largely successful, but there wasn't as much merchandise tied to it as the usual "Full Immersion" style of Japanese marketing entails, so just having that disc is pretty big deal.

My first IT job in Na$hville, all the Field Guys for the HVAC company had them at their desks when they came in to clean up what they did for the day with the CAD/CAM drawings.
I had one at home for days I VNC'd in cough cough, I had one with a Built in 2.5" HHD bay for Backup or Dual Boot.

Crazy to think this old, obscure Windows stuff is even still out there. Watching videos about 90's-2000's software and hardware has become somewhat of a passion of mine. Everyone has been so fixated on 80's stuff over the past decade that 90's and 2000's stuff got pushed to the wayside. It seems that's slowly starting to change now though. I was into the whole 80's retrowave thing myself back in the early 2010's, but it's been done for so long now that it's kinda stale and corny imo, so I've found myself drawn more to 90's and 2000's nostalgia over the past 6 years.
It's always cool seeing prerelease media!

The anime girl is Nanami Madobe. She was the official mascot for Windows 7 in Japan. The name is a pun, since mado means window, and nana means seven in Japanese.

There is another dock that would work with that Dell, which is much bigger/heavier, and includes an internal PSU, as well as a PCI slot, and optical drive slot; it's a beast!

I'm a receptionist for a healthcare tech centre in England. I recently got some Fallout stickers. Sad person that I am, I stuck the Property of Vault-Tec sticker onto my gaming laptop...and wrote on an Asset Number to complete the mock office PC look.

Dude.... My build is from 2010. Im pissed its not supported. I have 7 years on your build. The last time I upgraded my Graphics card was in 2016 with the R9 Fury X. 😃
My laptop is from 2016 and has everything supported except the processor.
And windows update decided to die in July.

I have discovered that the latitude d610 can actually run the 32 but version of windows 10, my d610 was a thrift store find.
