What an incredible "in-Depth" examination of the fire principles. I thought I understood fire, thought I was "well informed" - but did you pour cold water on my confidence. Now I understand why you call it "Master". Great job. I'm so fortunate to have been following you for a number of years. You are truly a "Master" of your craft.
Wow! Speechless ! I have always known that fire is a real craft and skill, but I didn't even imagine the complexity! Very important explanations in-depth. A lot of aspects to master. Class definitely would be beneficial for me.
Moisture and altitude are two key factors when starting a fire. Is the wood moist or wet? What is the humidity in the air? Where are you, sea level or high up in the mountains? Blackie, your class reminds me of when I first read the SAS Survival Guide however, you explain the principles in a better fashion. You sir are a born teacher.
I don't know if I've ever worried about temperatures when I'm outdoor cooking. I just check it and keep going. I feel informed now. Thanks Blackie. Great series I been rewatching so many of them lately.
Excellent episode Blackie. Thanks for sharing your expert advice on fire making. I’ll be looking forward to the next episode. In the meantime I wish you and yours a safe and happy new year 🎉
Hi Blackie, love your channel. If you have not done it already could you do a section on the different fire lays how to set them up and what are their uses? You may have done this already if so, I thank you very much and I hope you have a very very Good year Barry Dauphin 23:51 Scott Louisiana
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE !

Oh, double comment for a Fahrenheit 451 reference, even if unintentional.

That is a good thing, but it is important to know about the triangle of fire. It can save you a lot of trouble down the road.
That thumbnail for the video would make a awesome bourbon label.

Happy New Year from Louisiana good video thanks for it
Happy new year!
Great stuff. You might want to cover how barometric pressure effects not just baking but cooking as well as fire itself.
I agree, I will keep that in mind for future videos.

Is this the sample of the $10 classes u were talking about? And is that the list of classes/videos down in the description???
Blackie, I'm treating to find a contact for you And the coordinator of the Florida camp.
If that don't light your fire your wood's wet😂
yep
The science behind why we have to:
split the wood to get down to where fuel is dry
not use green
use feather sticks
get it hot
build it slow
sound wisdom
No oxygen in the air, we no longer will care about the fire... So "air" works well.
