were there any differences on your friction plates? some forum said to put purple tabs in first, then brown tabs, then end with a black tabbed friction plate.
ive never done a clutch so i cant really say shit but i hear you should because like in this video the dudes friction plate was busted and the debre can get in the oil.
JinglePoops this busted clutch was done by the PO. I had just changed the oil right before this repair and didn’t want to again. I literally had like 500 miles on this oil.
Thats exactly how my 2018 clutch is. From the show room floor to about 9300 mes my clutch went out. I just replaced my clutch yesterday ... if I pull my throttle all the way it slips .... its been slipping and I replaced my clutch its still fucked up.. I have to drop my bike back off later hopefully u figured it ouf
funnily enough i just watched "chase on two wheels" latest vid, where he finds his clutch on the CBR1000RR is in a similar conditon...ie more pieces than it should be .
There is another Fz6 video with a broken friction plate too!!! My Fz6r is 43k miles run and no clutch issues to report yet but I bet I ride on suburban backroads at 40 mph and that does not kill the clutch plates as much as city stop n go traffic like New York or Boston downtown!!!

Can you remove the clutch cover without draining the oil on the 09 R6? The dipstick is lower than everything as well. Did you have any oil come out?
Virtually Rs you should be fine not draining the oil. No oil came out when I pulled my cover.
