Man, the animation and artwork in this game look smooth. It's fun to see remakes like this. I'm hoping they give Dragon Quest 9 this kinda treatment. Great review!
It looks like a really nice remake. The visuals seem lovely and it appears to play well. But I might wait for a slight price drop before picking up a physical copy. I’m glad to hear it’s good for the most part though. Thanks for the review.
Booty dance when opening the chest. Okay sold. XD But one could easily complain about a digital copy of the orginal with such a small file size could have easily been on the same cartdgride. 😒
Thanks OGJ. I'll almost definitely get this, as a long-time Wonder Boy fan. It looks fun and my daughter should enjoy it as she played The Dragon's Trap and Monster Boy. Lol, Master Higgins. I had Adventure Island on my ancient Game Boy haha! I loved it so much!
Had an interest in the game and glad it turned out well. I'm currently playing a game somewhat similar to this (action side scroller with RPG elements). So may put on my wishlist and look out for a sale as it's kinda expensive for what it is
I wouldn't go that low personally because it's challenging enough where really young kids could get a bit frustrated. I'd say somewhere in the 12 and up range!

Not Challenging or frustrating lol. I guess you didn't play the pyramids or past it. This game is awful when it gets to that point. Really hard with those stupid puzzles to figure out & the green rolling platforms where you have to jump on & run through parts with like a 5-10 sec time limit.
@@IDreamofIndie the thing is I want this on PS4 but back then I already bought Wonder Boy Dragon Trap and Monster Boy on Switch when Switch was a hot device. Now the games are no longer printed and I need to complete them on one system. Arrrrhggg
I'm thinking back in 1994 with the series being so popular in Japan, they wanted to take advantage of that branding. But who knows this history of this series is all over the place!

That is fair 34.99 is a bit high of a price but still a fun little game.

I think you will find this game easier than that but you would likely run into a similar situation.

I seen the Switch version running at 45 FPS =-(
Yuh oh! Yeah we were on a PS4 Pro and everything felt great! Not a surprise having more horse power though.
