The story of this monkey has been with us for hundreds of years. It is a story about the conflict between Buddhism, Taoism, gods and the real world.“Where is the road? The road is underfoot, “and the song is singing non-stop.i love it,so much
One thing I need to tell you is that Chinese culture is the father of Japan and Korea, and everything you once thought of as Japanese or 'Stealing Coutry's culture you see is copied from China
Not everything is copied from China, but certainly a lot. The scripts, Nine tails, Kaguya, yokai, serpent dragons, etc, are examples that were inspired or copied from China. Dragon Ball's Goku literally just straight plagiarized Sun Wukong's name and iconography with the nimbus and power pole wholesale lol.
Background knowledge: This short film took place in the Xiaoleiyin Temple. The old Buddha Huangmei was originally the boy of the Eastern Buddha Laughing Monk who knocked the chime. His hand turned a chime mallet into a short soft mace. When the Buddha was not at home, he stole two precious treasures, Jin Chong and the race bag, and the lower realm became fine. This weird acted boldly, assuming that Leiyin Temple lured the monk Tang and his apprentice into fools, and detained Monkey King in the gold cockroach (the last fragment). He also used the race bag and put Monkey King and the Heavenly Soldier into the bag several times. In an emergency, the Eastern Buddha smiled and stepped on the cloud, teaching Wukong to lure the monster out of the cave, Maitreya Buddha turned into a melon man, and let the monster eat the watermelon that Wukong had turned into his stomach, suffering for a while, begging for mercy in every possible way, and finally healed After serving the old Buddha with yellow eyebrows, Maitreya Buddha also took the opportunity to take back the racial bag and other treasures.
The devs picked these two fight scenes for some particular reasons. The first fight, like you said, the snow, the texture, and environmental physics. The second fight, the loong boss and tube-bodied model. It is not easy to make a natural looking snake-ish creature model, let alone that model is interactable (it seems each different part can attack and be attacked). At the end, the song in the back is the main theme from the 1986 TV series Journey to the West, which is a household show in many Asian countries back in the 90s.
1:04 Better translation: You are all gathered in different circumstances. 1:47 That thousand hands Guan Yin exist and still nicely preserves. 10:12 Better Translation: What I say... Fart Ass! [Note: Bull Shit equivalent] 11:37 That's another avatar of future Buddha Ajita Maitreya. In the story, he is the imposter in disguise 🥸 by his favuorite disciple. 12:30 the nice outro song: Dare to Ask Where The Route Leads. TV OST dates back 1986! Fun Fact: The mantra or dharani that binds Wukong down under mountain ⛰ is Ohm Mani Padme Hum.
@@simulify8726 Well, the journey to the west is based on true story which a monk visited India and brought the buddhist scripts and texts to China and translated them.
@@simulify8726 Chinese for thousands year always admit that Buddhism is indeed from Indian and we respect that very much and distribute that through out the whole southeast Asia and told them so. And look at what Buddhism today is like in India nowadays, India has chance to be as good as China as long as you guys preserve that Religion and Culture, but it is just sad that you guys have not done so.
It looks stunning, the level of detail is ludicrous. Little rocks everywhere in the forests and mountains is honestly what told me it's next gen, mainly because of how hard it is to get that level of midfrequency geometry into scenes that stretch out as this does. Don't get me wrong there's more than that, such as the geometry actually being interacted with, lighting quality and particle effects such as the leaves but once you can get away with that level of fine detail being geometry and not be a tesselated or just flat texture with normal maps that's when you know all of those other additions fall into play.
Looks really good, the snow is on par with the one in God of war, beautiful. Hope this will come out soon, my guess is next year. Hearing the song in the last minute is the thing that got me hyped up. As a child I watched "Journey to the West" (1986) too many times, that song was one of the theme song of that series, obviously they had their own kinda version to it, but I'll recognise it anywhere lol
for none native Chinese speaker, there are three meaning of that yellow robe guy said (@): 既见未来,为何不拜?these words could be translate to: why dont you kneel and worship since you are seeing future? 1、he is Maitreya Buddha who is the buddha of future, so Wukong is actually seeing future when he meet him, it is time to kneel. (there is also someone says yellow robe guy is fake Maitreya buddha, because Maitreya Buddha would never say such dark words to aganist Buddha) 2、these words are also message to players: your are seeing future game, it is time to kneel and worship. 3、拜 means kneel and worship in Chinese, it also sounds like "buy", it means you are seeing the game of future, it is time to buy!
The game story background is from China traditional fairy tale journey to the west, one of the four great classical novels🤔,the novel every monster setting is has its own fantasy story💀🐉🐲,journey to the west in the wu is empty with his teacher and pupil four people need to pull through eighty-one, finally get to see the Buddha buddhist paradise. ----here are many temple background based on real humanistic historic sites in China, For example, the Giant Buddha of Leshan in Sichuan Province, the Golden Temple of Fanjing Mountain in Guizhou Province 🏞⛰🏔, and the last big man in yellow who appeared was a monster named Huang Mei,who escaped from the West and pretended to be the Buddha to cheat The Bible of Sanzang of Tang Dynasty, Wukong's master👻
In particular, 'Journey to the West' with a dark background like soul is very good. Dark Sekiro, Bloodborne, Dark Souls, and Eldenring's open world action RPG 'Journey to the West' is so cool.
Look. Lets be honest here. How many games have come out with the claim "captured in real time" the past few years that were outright bullshit? We know that unreal engine 5 is capable of a lot of these feats, i've had a chance to play with it myself and nanite and lumen is truly incredible but even if its running in real time on a 10k$ volta based machine and what players are actually able to run without fps loss will be a downgrade... what they've achieved here is still a work of art. Even looking at wukong himself, I can tell you the reason he looks so good is not because of any new technology because nanite doesn't support skeletal meshes, its all really solid texture work. What you're looking at may be an interpretation of what these artists could achieve without limits on detail or processing, and there may indeed still be limits imposed to get this game to run on consumer hardware--we are not QUITE there yet for all the advancements UE5 brings. But that shouldn't detract from what these talented artists were able to accomplish here, with light, composition, story, style, truly realistic and convincing particle effects. Mad respect.
China doesnt allow foreign games to be sold on the PS5 store, but outside people will be buying this game. Gaming looks to become another lucrative part of Chinese protectionism.
But Chinese government allow pc games sold in China. For the consoles , it’s gradually changing now. In the past, China was just totally blocked from all over the world.
It is fact. If you buy a Chinese PS5, there are no games on the store, you have to by imports on Taobao or contact the store to change the region. If you release a game in China you have to pay Tencent, same issue with Nintendo Switch.

Yea I kept thinking about God of War as well
Chinese Buddha religion comes from ancient India, and combined with Chinese culture. You do have a lot of beautiful culture to show to the world too.
I think next year is too soon, maybe 2023
Elden Ring will be setting a high bar for it. But I hope this will smash all expectations.
At least I have something to occupy me for a year.
I'm just hoping that the translation will be good enough to let u know how badass the dialogues are, they make me more excited than the screen do.
