God I love this list! New to this, I could buy 10 knives for $300 or 1 knife for $500 lol. Good way to find out if this is a hobby that will stick. 👍
The Ganzo FB7651 is hands down one of the best "bang for buck" folders I've purchased.
Very cool video! Who doesn't love a great budget blade?! Love this series of good value products. Thanks Dom
I would be really interested in a video about the best budget folders that come with handle options that aren't plastic or fiberglass (metal, bone, antler, etc.).
I love your videos, but I live in the budget world. Problem is I treat my knife as a tool to be used and if it chips or breaks, I could not easily replace a knife costing a lot of money to me. I know everyone is different and that's fine. I have been carrying most Buck knives my adult life and over the last 15 or so I have carried the 285 Bantam. It's cheap and easily replaceable if needed. And I just love the shape and how thin it is. That being said, you've opened my eyes to lots of other possibilities and I'm about ready to try something different. Cool video.
The Bantam is one of my favorite Buck knives ever! Besides the 110 and 118 of course
I just started collecting this year but have bought and tested knives in 2 in 14C, 2 in AR-RPM9, and 2 in K110... The Sitivien was my first and the best so far @ 62. The Beluga was still pretty good though @ 60.5. Thanks for suggesting I buy it. You are probably the reason I started collecting since I had such a great first buying experience. It's awesome that you UA-cam guys make my money go so much farther.
Thank you for this video and for providing the Amazon links. I added your #1 and #2 picks to my Amazon list
Thank you for another informative video. 🙂
Great video. My favorite is the Byrd ”inspired” Ganzo It’s nothing really special about it. But at the same time, I never have second thoughts after I pick it. It can do every edc task you put it up to and you never hesitate to use it instantly, regardless what you are using it for. And that’s a perfect edc for me.
I just did a video all about the absolute best budget knives and it was all about Sitivien. You just can't beat them for fit and finish. I haven't pulled the trigger on the ST152 yet but it's on my wish list. Another great top ten video. Really love this series.
Great video thanks man
I have the exact same QSP parrot and I love it. It’s an edc that you can carry wearing a more dressed up outfit.
Nice one. The Sitivien looks fantastic!
I got the Gerber Pledge for $25 and I absolutely love it lol FRN handle, 7Cr Reverse Tanto blade, reversible clip and stud, smooth action, liner lock.
Love the mini Praxis , own a bunch of them .
Nice selection of inexpensive knives! I lost everything I own in a wildfire last summer except a couple changes of clothes, backpack, and the EDC gear I had on me. (Including my Benchmade Bailout, and Elementum fixed blade.)
I'm getting back on my feet now, and just purchased the Ganzo FH922 (green) and the SRM 9201identical to the one you showed. Glad to see them both here as they are both great knives, especially the SRM.
I've owned a few of the others on here, as well, including the QSP Parrot with blue G-10 scales. I thought it was pretty ugly, so eventually I gave it away to a coworker rocking a Dollica. The micarta scales look much better so I may pick that one up next.
i love small thin light knives , and i love my Maileah! i also carry a Kershaw Reverb , which probably is my favorite EDC.
Thank you for making this list. My dad is a turbo Fudd and getting him to pay more than 30-40 on a knife is near impossible!
Charade steelhead
more great content
Excellent price range! if you see in this price can be not premium but good or great knives.
I was wondering if you've ever done a video ranking the different steels used and maybe who the top knife companies are for each type of steel.
Hi Dom jw if youre considering making a budget fixed blade video?
that SRM Ambidextrous looks nice
I'm right-handed but carry left
but... not a fan of clip-point blades
What do you think about a swiss army knife?
I fly to visit family for a week long stay, 3 to 4 times a year. I fly carry-on only so no knife. At these prices, I can buy a couple, ship them and have them when I visit.
Can i ask what the black handled knife to the left of your right hand at about 9sec into the video is? The one next to the QSP Parrot?
Just over $30 but sometimes just under...any experience with the Petrified Fish PF838 in D2?
I'm looking for a knife that you have to push the button to manually flip out and also push the button to close. Are they any you recommend that has this feature?
I had to break in my Maileah but its a fidget monster. I can do all the different front/top flipper openings plus both thumb stud openings. I just picked up the recently discontinued and discounted Voltaic on your recommendation and it's the smoothest out of the box Civivi I've tried. With the wood onlay over the lockbar, it just feels so premium. I need to get the replacement pocket clip for it though.
It's Discontinued?!?! Nooooo!!!
@@maxlvledc just going by WMK discontinued Civivi section. The wood one is sold out there already too. Steal at $55.
That spear point w/ orange handles looks nice.
Look for a Monikala 3.4" knife. It has G10 scales and 14c28n blade steel for $24. Also has a 10% off coupon right now. I got one, and I think it's great for the price. Oh, and it has multiple deployment methods, just for fun.
I'll check it out!
@@maxlvledc I guess you liked it, huh? :D
@@conradhershberger9359 did I!! Sooo muxh
I enjoy your videos. Hey try to cut clothes hanger wire with my GOAT tool it would not do it. And I broke the knife blade. I am disappointed with it..I will keep my Ozark trail mult force as my EDC.❤❤
I would prefer the CiViVi
👍
Does the Mini Praxis have a good pocket clip? I have the older elementum which has a really weak clip that has become completely useless. Want to make sure the Mini Praxis uses a better clip.
Probably similar, both can use the upgraded Ti clip they have available
Serious question: If there's so many good
Very very good question, and very hard to answer as it varies from person to person. I think for me...going over $80 requires something special...a combination of added functionality or is simply an art piece for collection..many of these 200+ knifes are pocket art.
@@maxlvledc I can totally see the art appeal. Some are very pretty, but I wouldn't want to actually use those for daily work. For actually using day to day (although I use a knife much less frequently than that), I just can't see justifying the name brand prices when the budget bin knives are so good (as seen in this video).
@@LarryGarfieldCrellUsually you will pay more for knives well tailored to specific use cases or intended to handle specific challenges. One example is the Spyderco Salt series of extremely corrosion resistant knives with many of them intended specifically for use on boats. Additionally, those who want more premium steels will pay more for them.
I can't stand the slim select series because they're not a 110 112, it's just not a 110 or 112 blade and I believe they should have a different model number.
I put the 110LT as far far better than the slim select series.
Thanks!
Srm
Let's get to the nitty gritty! How well will they cut my sandwiches?
The last one....like butta!
Not having the Rat 2 on this list is a travesty
Great knife which I love, but it hasn't been under $30 in a while . Hovers around the $34- 38 mark these days.
The rat 2 is NOT under $30 which is ridiculous for a knife in only AUS8
@@ruairibateson1403 dang I got mine under $30 3/4 years ago with D2 steal! What a bummer. They Jack the prices up because of popularity or what?
@@maxlvledc yea 3/4 years ago I got mine for under $30 with D2! What a bummer the price has jumped up!
I don’t get where you find those prices. In Europe basically any knife you mention is closer to $90
Yea...Europe is waaaay more expensive
