@@NomadSweden tell me about it. 60 in a couple of weeks. Just got into mtb (mountain biking). First time i have taken bicycles seriously since.i was a teenager and before i had discovered beer.
Very funny video! I went for the Halvarsons Oman, jacket and trousers, just tested the waterproof by riding off road in the British rain all day yesterday, outer shell got wet but not one drop inside on my shorts, (wasn't cold enough for the removable thermal layer) super impressed with the suit. Waterproof layer also comes out for the really hot weather. Great adventure suit.....Surprised a Swedish man like yourself isn't wearing one!😉😆
Thanks for the tips, and nice to hear it works :) I guess i am just too much of a barbie doll to wear the same dress all the time :). I like to change stuff and with layers it becomes much cheaper and more options.

Good video thanks Robert, I might give the Knox armour a try. My 3 hour ride in the wind and rain today told me that my 9yr old Klim trousers now leak, my 9yr old Forma boots leak and my trusty Rukka jacket wets out badly...oh and my gloves are useless!! Time for new gear and maybe a new system of gear....ps...what are the green trousers you are wearing...? Cheers, Steve
Hej. I have a Hein Gericke Tuareg Rallye GTX II - it is not the lightest or sharpest looking gear out there, but it has a removable Gore-Tex lining and is the only motorcycle gear I have found to be actually waterproof (even when you get that pool of water in your crotch :D). I bought it a few years ago in the UK at half price - Hein Gericke are no longer present in the UK, but having the Gore-Tex on the inside is a winner in terms of durability of the waterproofing. It isn't the lightest and the outer jacket and pants do get soaked through, but I like it. Because I'm dry, and it was half price! I've been enjoying the videos - keep up the good work, and take care out there, Russ
@@NomadSweden It's funny when I think about it, there are lots of things which I don't like so much about the Hein Gericke suit, but a few years in it's still what I wear a majority of the time as it's fairly good at most things. I do really like that the jacket zips to the trousers so they don't fall down or feel heavy - and there's a crotch strap thing to stop the jacket riding up if I should go sliding down the road. I have similar hiking gear - not my favourite if I choose with my heart, but so good all-round it's what I end up wearing most of the time.
Hi Robert. Long time subscriber… first time commenting. Hi there and thanks! The Leatt will not hold up for a pavement slide. I managed to make hole in the pants in the 4 falls I did this spring. So you need protection under. Still love the lightness of it. I am 180cm and 86kg. Cheers

Another great video, Robert....always appreciate the humor! I am due to upgrade most of my gear, so this comes at a good time for me. Do you have any experience/thoughts on 3in1 garments vs making your own layers? 2. What sizes do you have on your Leatt gear? And what size are you.... regarding hight and weight that is? No need for any other info regarding that 🙃 Thanks!
Hi there, 1. Having the water-protection on the inside is ok in winter when it's cold and you want it in all the time. But in the summer you will ride without it. So when it rains, you need to take the jacket off. That's the downside I think. Having the protection in the jacket/pants is very convenient but the protection sits a little looser on your body than with separate armor.
