Blocking really does make a difference. I had refused to the entire time I was knitting for YEARS, and then I started crochet five months ago and then blocking didn't seem so bad lol
Blocking makes your work feel more finished because the process relaxes and evens your tension throughout the project. When everything is more uniformly distributed, the fabric feels smoother and has more drape/flowiness! Definitely recommend blocking for garments but it’s not so necessary for more decorative items:)
@@The.fantasybug you can pin it to your couch or a chair if you have one, and honestly throwing something through the washer and drier might be enough “blocking” for some projects

I spent the past 2 years crocheting my coraline sweater. Because 1: i wasn't working on it at every moment of every day, i'd sometimes go weeks without touching it and 2: i frogged it and redid the entire thing about 3 times. I looooove the coralline sweater! But you mentioned something about want to crochet it but went with knit for accuracy. May I suggest the waistcoat stitch? It looks just like knit, but it's crochet! That's just my little tip though, do whatever makes you happy :D
In regards to the cardi, we are our own worst critics. I would never notice the cuffs if it wasn't pointed out to me. It looks amazing, and you look super cute in it and the suit! I thought that was a really nice touch! Another awesome video that I had to smile at!

I love how everything came out 🥰 It's the little imperfections in handmade items that I think are so charming in how they tell the story of the pieces creation. First - you can give yourself and your work 10/10 absolutely no doubt about it Second - I waited until the end to see which one is my favorite and the Cardigan is definitely my favorite! The first sweater is 9,5/10 and the blanket 9/10 but the entire journey is 12/10 thank you!
The blocking didn't work on the stars because acrylic yarn will not form properly using the wet block method. The ONLY method that works on acrylic yarn is using a steamer
This series has inspired me to make my own movie and show inspired clothes whenever I get better at crocheting and learn to knit, there's so many cute tops in old 80s horror films 16:54 an earthier tone seems like what you needed, there's a brand call wool and the gang that has a pretty earthy chunky yarn from what ive found

Sooo i have a lot of questions(about the Caroline sweater). Firstly how tick was the yarn? How thick were the knitting things lol? What materials was the yarn and how many balls of yarn did you end up using? Tysm!
Do I know anything about knitting or crochet? Nope. But the art was fascinating! Normally, I'm not a sweater person, but this looks so, so comfortable! I love the floppy sleeves.
My rule of thumb for selling is the cost of supplies + number of hours it took to make x my labor cost. Depending on the craft my labor cost fluctuates depending on how good i think i am at it. So a newer craft i have not a lot of hours in might be $15 an hour, but a well loved and practiced craft I will charge $20-25 depending on a lot of factors.
We are of like mind. I just released hand dyed sock sets inspired by Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy and have my Other Mother and Coraline sock sets coming out in the next week or so. I just recently did hand dyed sock sets based on The Electric Mayhem as well. I love your creations on this video. I'm subscribing to your channel. Love the content!
