It's a little known fact that these are set up to understeer from factory... The Stock Cup 2 will be better than than the SC3 tires you drove on... Fix the aero balance, maybe go with cup 2 or CRS, change sway bars and the car will completely change... 1:17.3 is really fast as is... good job...

Nice run regardless of limits, a 1:17 is a solid time for a gt4, they push a bit naturally and a lot of what gt4 owners spend time dialing out is that understeer. I think your thoughts on how to dial it out is absolutely right, perfect analysis. Love all the videos so far great work 🎉
Great comparison. FYI, noticed your suction cup camera mount. If you want to capture the best footage angle I use the RoadSpy RS1 on my Cayman. Way way better than those suction cups.
Aero will help at just about all tracks. Low speed tracks can have a more aggressive angle of attack (or downforce)which creates more drag. High speed tracks can be set a more moderate angle of attack for less drag and medium downforce.
You’re probably right, this track favors imh a high speed and small wing cars, i would tried normal attack wing angle and wingless setup since the turns he did was just tight and small rather than mid or long turns. Other point is GT4rs comes with cup 2 r tyres where his tires is GY supercar 3 he said? Which is same as a regular cup2(porsche specc’d) oem tire in GT4s. A normal GT4 is a weapon when modded and can compete with 4rs 👏🏼

Front sway bar set to full stiff and rear full soft???? 200 tread wear tires???? That is a terribly modded and set up car. You need zero thrust angle on all GT cars.
I am a huge bmw fan but I need to remain unbiased. The g87 we are talking about is modified. 600 wheel HP, suspension upgrades, light aero and more! Video on it to come. Keep in mind, this is also a power track. Also, the g87, being so heavy, can do those times for maybe 1-2 laps and goes through consumables to quickly. The new gen BMW’s have just another level of performance… a simple flash tune on the g8x series yield 100+hp in most cases, and that straight line speed just gobbles up time. Although faster than the gt4, they get their lap times very differently. A scalpel… vs a sledgehammer hammer…both different and amazing in their own regard.

tall gearing is one of the biggest thing to get used to after coming from most other cars - especially like the ZF8 cars.
another thought...while TC is seen to be annoying, it delivered results; you were getting similar lap times - within 1 second with TC.

We use either the AIM solo2 lap timer or Garmin catalyst in all our videos.
