I think it was due to Vince not wanting him to because remember, he was a road agent and he was part of office. but unfortunately, arn got fired from the Wwe. And, he didn’t call when he was sick real bad either. Even his then wife Wendy a.k.a. fifi look through all of the text and none of them came from arn.

It's tough to see good friends aren't speaking to each other in years or turn into enemies.
But I'm glad that guys like Ric and Arn or Hulk and Brutus (or Bret and Shawn to an extent) were able to bury the hatchet and became friends again. :)

But, on a talk show before the m s j .Shawn said he liked Owen and got along with him fine.

Jim Herd? Promoters? Ric and Arn has a great run in WCW from 95-97 that I would imagine wasn't the glory days but still those two were as tight as ever it looked to me. Flair's emotions during Arn's retirement promo??? That was an all time great REAL moment to me. Glad to hear they are at least on some form of communicative terms again

It’s sad that in Ric’s mind it all has to do with wrestling. See how quickly he goes back to the “glory days” of the 80’s? I would be willing to bet that it’s less about wrestling, and more so about Marty Lunde, the husband and family man having to separate from Ric Flair the CHARACTER. Ric still doesn’t know who Richard Fliehr is. So he’s still stuck in a character that was/is very immature. If you notice, all the guys who moved away from Flair and he had issues with-Triple H, Arn, Shawn Michaels, Jim Ross, even Tully backed away, they all have all moved away from the ring and transitioned into family men, or the next phase of growth. They don’t lash back out at Flair when he throws dirt on them. They laugh it off or just ignore him all together. Grown man actions. They all realize that at 74, he’s not going to grow up and he’s going to die stuck in a character. So that makes him toxic.

@@dcott7071 I think he just brought up the 80s since that's when he and Arn worked together the most and probably developed their friendship. And I think Richard Fliehr is essentially Ric, it's been said by himself and others that's the type of guy he is in RL, not just kayfabe. But even if he's living in kayfabe I think he does it for financial purposes, just look at Hogan. These guys blew through all their money years ago and lost a lot in divorces too! If they tried to stay out of the spotlight they'd be broke.
