Peter, watching this with tears in my eyes, I lost my father 18 months ago and I would give anything to have been able too share a special moment like this with him. The smile on your dad's face was amazing. Cherish these moments. Thank you for sharing
❤️
Johnathon Andrew well said Johnathon know what you mean.
Well said mate. I lost my dad over 10 years ago, and still can't ever face visiting the place.
I lost mine 3 years ago. I nearly teamed up watching them have so much fun together. So awesome.
I too wish I had done something like this for my dad, departed 5 years now. Love you always.
Awesome! I got to just walk along the 18th when we visited. I would kill to be able to play there. Fun to watch how excited everyone was even as top level golfers like yourself who get to play across the world.
What a lovely thing to do for your old man.
Just absolutely awesome 👏!!! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
What a treat! Great to share this experience with you mate!
If I may. This really hits home for me. My father was a lifelong golfer. I never showed any interest. I was a Skate punk. Art nerd etc. never showed any interest. He passed away a few years ago. And when I was cleaning some of his things out of the garage. There was his clubs... I couldn’t bring myself to throw away or donate them. So I took them to the local range instead. I am now 100 percent a golfer. It’s all I think about. Talk about. Sometimes I just wish this had happened earlier. To have shared this experience with him. To be a able to talk about golf with him. Play golf with him. Just have that connection. So this is just so incredibly beautiful. Just magical my friend. Magical.
So awesome Pete, well done🤙
Golfholics can’t wait for the emotional rollercoaster of our match 😂
Who knocks on his own Dad's door? I just walk straight in he's me Dad lol
Maybe it was locked
no idea what his dad could be doing in the privacy of his own home though )
It was for the video probably
Your dad holding a Seve pose after his drive on the first.....and his smile all the way round says it all. Brownie points for Finch junior!!
Like for a shank free round 😆👍
Must of been emotional that pal must be amazing to be able to treat your old man to something like that 👌 memories to last a life time brilliant stuff 👍⛳🏌️♂️
Damn, caught me cutting onions when Mr. Finch tee’d off on the first 🥺
Peter this was the best video on here. The smiles on your Dad’s face was priceless. Your a lucky man to be able to give your Dad such a special day. Your a great son. Keep up the great work my friend.
Of all the rounds of golf I have played my most memorable ones are with my father.
Very cool trip for you and your dad. The Old Course at St. Andrews is definitely a bucket list course. Gonna have to wait till after I get to Sawgrass and Pebble Beach. Just a little closer to Indy. I'll get there one day 🤙
brilliant Peter, seeing your dad with that big smile warms the heart, 10/10 for the editing also, good job :)
Nice to be first :) keep up the great work and thanks for helping me with my swing :)
Played it three times nearly a decade ago. Real psychological pressure on the first tee. The fairway is so wide it’s the burn you should worried about. It’s never diver unless into a strong wind. I played 5w every day and had no more than 9i or PW into the green.
Managed a net 64 on the first day. Hiring a caddie is a must. Tip generously. I had the same caddie all three days. Added so much in terms of lines off tees and club selection. He like the old course was steeped in history. Plenty of memorable anecdotes.
Your dads laugh puts a smile on my face
Absolutely loving the content recently Pete. So so much positivity in all of your videos. Keep it up!
Heartwarming....these are the moments you live for. The smiles on your Dad's face tell the whole story. Well done.
I was just like your dad, smiled the whole way round when I played there. Managed to shoot 7 under hcap too!
Class video that. Can see why these videos bring so much joy to people. 👏🏻👏🏻
Pete.
What you put together here is the meaning and reason of golf! Your father is a lucky man, you are a lucky man and golf is lucky so have you both playing the sport!
And St. Andrew's had 2 fantastic gentlemen and players on there course that day and should feel honored!
You are a amazing man, and your father Is fantastic! Tell him to keep holding that finish!

Would be a dream to play there, but have an official handicap so I dont think I could get on the old course with out, i think that's right.

Gunnar L. Dad?
@@peterfinchgolf I'm a little to young to be but... I'll adopt you! Haha
What a brilliant surprise for your Dad. Played there last year and as your Dad says, you can’t stop smiling all the way round. It is like a really nice soup, followed by apple crumble and custard!
The smile on your dads face was priceless 😊
Great video Pete 👌 what a place that is 😍
Does Seb have a neck injury or just a weird swing?
What a great surprise for your dad! I got to visit St. Andrews last year as a day excursion from a cruise ship. Not enough time for a round of golf. however. Went to the last day of The Open at Carnoustie the following day, so had a great golfing experience. I loved the video and the music was a nice touch. You almost came out of your shoes on your Road Hole tee shot. Reminded me of myself!! Can't wait to do a Scottish golf trip before I'm too old. Cheers!!
Great vid, good luck buying him a Christmas present now!
Amazing day for your Dad and all of you, must show this to my son and give him a map of Scotland lol. Well done Pete.
Hate videos like this because they remind me of something I will never have with my dad ever again, love videos like this because of the times I spent with my dad on the golf course, playing a round with your mates is good fun but playing with your father is special

Watched this with a lump in my throat, my dad has passed and I'll never be able to share times like this with him again. Well done to you for doing this, I'm sure your Dad is proud of you for all you've achieved and for creating these special shared memories. you're a good man.
Pete, thank you for taking us along. Your dads face must be hurting from smiling so much. I know you have busted your butt to put out content but you are still a lucky bloke
pause the video @4:50 and look at the face of his driver at impact LMAO has to be 5 degrees open; Pete that ball had to slice 500 yards?
Sam Dyer he hit it so high out of the toe it twisted the face open 😂 he hung on to the right edge...just
@@peterfinchgolf to be fair I wouldnt be able to hit the face of the club at all with that pressure.

Well done Pete, one of the best videos capturing the almost spiritual journey around the Old Course . The fellings you guys were having is vey well portrayed making it look like an amazing bonding experience. But...Hmm middle lane hogger, no bueno!!
Of all the time I’ve spent playing golf, the best times are with my dad. Such an awesome thing you did for him by taking him to play the old course! Great videography too! Favorite video you’ve done
That must be so good experience to share with your dad. I lost mine when I was my early twenties.. Never got chance to play with him.
Cracking video pete, your dads 1st tee shot class. When i went there near the 1st even with all the golf history there, i could not get out of my head the beginning of "chariots of fire" 🙄🙄
What a lovely video, Pete. Must have been an amazing experience to share it with your dad. Proper life-affirming stuff!
Awesome to have such a fun round with your father on such an iconic course, memories like those last forever!
Brilliant video. Loved the background music during the highlights. Playing the road hole is as bucket list as it gets 💯
Peter...can I be your dad too??🤔
I'm Pete's dad, and so's my wife!
Your dad is an absolute gentleman.
What a video Peter, I took up golf 3 years ago because my dad started playing so we could play a competitive sport together. Seeing you and your dad play like this reminds me so much of the importance of family and just how the sport golf can bring people together. Kudos sir, I hope me and my father can one day enjoy the same experience. Keep doing what your doing mate, love the content, love the personalities. Bang tidy.
Some foot work from Mr Finch snr!
Superb! My dad doesn't play golf so I'm alright, although he likes a good beer!

This was lovely. Just wish I had my Dad still to do the same 😩
It's videos like this that make me really wish I can get my dad into golf one day. Would lvoe toe be able to share these kinds of memories with him with the time we've got left.
Great video
Love the music as well
Love playing with my dad
Makes me love him more when playing golf with him
Great vlog. Great filming. Great surprise. Your dad can’t stop smiling. I find myself enjoying your vlog more then today’s European tour.
Excellent video! Unfortunately my Dad passed in 1989, just a couple of years before I took up golf. However, I do play golf now with my adult son, and we often talk about playing St. Andrews. It would be an expensive trip, flying from the USA to Scotland, finding accommodations, and playing the Old Course, but who knows what the future will bring.
Fantastic video, as always great content
Mark Farrar thanks Mark
Unbelievable to experience that with your Dad Pete well done mate!
Class act, Pete!
It was a great day.my dad would be 100 July 16.we did play with my mom.you need to mention Joe Miller from London.2nd greatest long driver in history behind Jason Zuback.Great personality. Both friends of mine.😃
Oh Peter, to treat your Dad with a gift like that.... not just you --- but what it meant for him!!! Like many, I watch with tears. My Dad and I got to golf a bit some yrs ago and totally enjoyed it. Remembering the 1st time he'd taken me; in my late teens ... I hated it. 1st swing, I remember vividly -- I missed and couldn't hit the ball straight; he laughed but he really wanted me to enjoy a sport that he did, especially earlier in his life. I didn't "get" the game -- and looking back to that time, it kinda hurt his feelings. Later in my thirties, we started again with my much improved appreciation for the game!!! I grew up playing baseball -- so that explains my unsuccessful endeavor early on. I tell this story in remembrance of Dad who passed in early March......... cherish these times Peter, for they are PRICELESS!!! Nice job my friend, nice job!
I did exactly the same as your dad… went at night, walked around.. it was cool
That's sick Pete! Thats good in surfer talk, birdie on St Andrews 18! Birdoe on 18 Bay Hill in a Tournament is my claim to fame, it's a good feeling to say the least.....
Such memories. My wife and I drove up from London to St Andrews on Christmas Day 2008. Nobody on the road at all so very pleasant drive. Played Duke's on Boxing day and then the Old Course in the 27th. Perfect weather both days and I was able to join a couple of locals on the Old Course who managed to help me avoid most of the trouble. Can't forget stopping at the coffee hut after the 9th where the chap automatically added whiskey (Good on ya mate). Memorable drive over the buildings on the Road Hole and a photo with my wife on Swilcan Bridge. Back home in New Zealand now with kids so I expect that may be the highlight of my golfing life
The second he opened the door and said hello I knew it was your dad! He has the same loving life attitude as you do, top man!
