This just happened to me, ironically on also Audi, A6 C6 2.0tdi. I've done previous service and changed oil sump plug, everything went smoothly, and now as I drained the oil, went to put new screw in, and it kinda slowed down when torqued in.
It turned to have bits of metal all on screw's body, which after inspection turned out to be thread from the Oil Sump..
Are you not scared that any bits of metal will be left in the oil sump to possibly damage engine even more when it starts circulating through the engine?
Would you be able to share the link to that part you bought for threading the oil sump please? Thank you very much!

It's common on vag cars because it's only supposed to be tightened to 20nm. If you have the plug out and poor fresh oil in the engine it will flush out metal debris.
