You legend! I was trying to do this on my Astra yesterday but it wouldn't lock in and the tap wrench I had was messing everything up. As a last resort I checked UA-cam and saw your video and you had it done in 90 seconds. And the 11mm spanner was perfect, ratchet one is even better. Went back and got it done today in 20 minutes jack to finish in the street. Thanks for posting! you saved me a pointless garage trip.
Thank you for sharing this video. I had a similar issue on my car .. instead of fixing the problem someone had tippexd "weak thread" next to it.. on one hand cheers for telling me.. on the other hand the service history was main dealer so you figured they would've fixed it properly 🙈 I tightened mine with a torque wrench to 25nm but it was still leaking so I tried 35nm which appears to have fixed it.
Just changed my oil again and used a copper washer instead this time (M15 x 1.2mm thick). Sealed without issue.

Cant wait for the door lock work, mine needs it as the interior light wont activate when passenger side door opens 👍 & that wynns does work a treat ive used it for years and only one car felt funny ie sluggish after the treatment out of 15 cars or so was a 316 Bmw on 190k.
10k boost use to work too i used it ended up having to take head off and it was mint clean so me & my bro swore by it but they stopped making it or changed company so cant find it now.
If you have a look back through my videos I did a how to on the door lock when I did the drivers side. I’ll need to watch it myself I’ve forgot how to do them! Wynns has almost stopped my mr2 burning oil too.

Clocked your review on amazon im in the same boat except iv got an 08 golf gt im assuming it would be the same size drain hole as the transporter?
This is why I don’t take my car to the garage anymore, even supposed trained mechanics are muppets and cause more damage then they fix !
