So fun fact for me about this god:
Ullr (Ullr, Ullin, Uller, Vuldr or Oller in norwegian) has many places name after him in Norway, and among many Ullerøy (Ullr Island) is the place i live in :)

Hmmm so there is a hint to an actual overarching story to Smite in his lore. We know that Odin left Ullr in charge when whatever happened that brought the Gods together, but things have gotten so bad that Ullr had to leave the throne to come help in the fight.

According to Norse Mythology, Ullr ruled when Oddin was exiled. He was the Ruler of Azghard for 10 years.

This theme is used every time a Norse god is released in the game. The same happens when Egyptians, Hindus, Mayans etc. are released.

Its actually believed that Ullr and Odinn were the same person at one point in time, and when Christianity started being established in Scandinavian, they had been split into two different people... The same thing could also be said about Frigg, and Frejya

If he had an attack speed buff then yes. Thankfully, no. The only thing he can do that troll can is throw axes.
This god looks totally awesome in comparison to Scylla which was a bit of a disappointment. I think something that would be really interesting is if they try some new energy (mana) resources on new gods since that would be an interesting concept.
Funny, because Scylla is hella OP right now, while Ullr is barely average with an amazing stun
I was more focused on the concept on the hero. Scylla is just burst mage (original right ?) while Ullr is interesting to play atleast. Scylla just didn´t fit in it feels.

Um what? Scylla isn't op lol.. You juke her ult and that's a very bad situation for her. Beads stun, sprint and avoid 2 and 4. Ullr on the other hand is very strong. He hits like an anhur mid/late game & has a 1.8 second stun & gapcloser/escape. I've been extremely fed as ullr almost every game. I'm expecting his stun to get a nerf because 1.8 is insane for a hunter.
iHeartbound Remember its a single target stun, so its almost useless when you are facing many enemies.
1stun is often enough since as this hero your only worries are extreme gapclosers otherwise with the buff you are faster than most others.

So i'd like to think think that i've got descent knowlege of norse mythology but i have never heard about ullr, does he go by other names aswell?
in the viking mythology book ive been reading hes been known as Ull as well. might help

So will Thor/Odin be getting reworked with stances in mind? I noticed 2 Norse gods so far have stance abilities and was just curious.
would be cool if they did a thing where certain pantheons of gods shared similar themed mechanics. norse god have stance changes, greek gods are auto atk based, Chinese gods are skill shot based. yknow something like that.
yea, I was hoping for something similar. though then theyd have to go and redo freya, loki, and freya along with thor and odin.
well they have stated many times that they plan on reworking gods not just visually but mechanically in the future.
ah well then, lets hope they give all the norse the stance mechanic then!

Its amazing, this is one mechanic in a Moba to be exited for. Range carry and melee assasin/bruiser in one is pretty interesting. Comparable to Jayce in League of Legends.
Yeah i know but an ulti that gives a damage boost or attack speed boost depending on what stance I'm on ? why not an ultimate attack move depending on what stance i'm on instead....
Ayman Nader Because he basically has 6 abilities already. You should check League of Legends' Jayce, Nidalee and Elise champions. It gives you a good idea of what exactly it means to have a switch stance. These champions definitely don't need buffs, they are strong enough without "real" ultimates ! (Maybe Jayce, before i get rocks thrown atme)
Oooooh i get it now i get it he's like jayce there's no ulti but he just changes stances instead just like him, the only confusion here is they're calling it an ulti, thanks for clearing that up.
Ayman Nader well it is his ulti, like hel's stance change is her ulti. there ultis give very large boosts * buffs to those characters. their ultis are similar to the fire giant buff in a way, they don't do some flashy move or whatever but they secure kills. looking at it in that regard Ullr has one of the best ultis plus its spam-able & cost no mana.

So this guy has 2 escapes, 1 stun, and can switch between melee and range? This is an OP hero if there is to classify one.
