he's right about tenet. the best kinds of 6/10 movies are the ones where one of your friends randomly decides its one of the greatest pieces of cinema of all time (i love tenet i am that friend)
I saw a thing where a character in a show was adapted from the book to no longer be a gentle giant just because he was a nice guy who was concerned for other people but now he was scared of hurting people because in episode one he accidentally kills his wife who only exists in the show. Characters aren't better because they have trauma. The guy I saw talking about it said would Sam from Lord of the Rings be a better character if he accidentally killed a kid? It's easier to relate to him as a character because he's a normal guy and he's admirable for showing courage despite his fear.
Tenant is like if someone tried to make a 10/10 movie and failed. That makes it way more interesting artistically than the 6.5/10 movie that was only really trying to be a 7/10

I mean I’ve got faith that the Wonka movie will be decent at best since it’s being directed by the same guys that made the Paddington movies, but I guess we’ll see. Ryan has a good point in that Wonka is a character shrouded in mystery, so it might be unnecessary.
The worst part about the newest Wonka was how normalized and lame it was. There was no crazy anything. It was like watching a local art center play of a Wonka-like knock off.
I saw the Wonka movie and I don’t think it ruins the next movie. I like when my characters start one way and change later. When they grow or devolve either good or bad is awesome. But I see the other pov too a little of both is the best.

I don't know if literally everyone is in on the bit, or if just no one understood how Tenet works. When you're inverted, you experience the flow of time as usual, when you walk forward, you walk forward. John Washington was driving the car forward during the car chase. It is from the normal perspective that inverted people drive backwards and walk backwards. If you're inverted and gonna take a shit, you will shit normally, the poop will fall out of your ass and onto the ground. You're not gonna be sucking shit up your ass. Why is everyone making this same joke that doesn't follow the rules established by the movie itself. It's like when NL invents a strawman to argue against. You're 100% right, but I just love watching NL pick away at the strawman for minutes on end. It never fails to compel me to write a manifesto on the way things actually work - just like you did! So in a twisted way, he's driving up engagement SUPER well.
Don’t they show that bullets go back into the gun or some shit when it’s shot, and the guy acts surprised,i.e. unless he’s a moron it’s not shooting normally. Now take a doodoo instead of the bullet, and a big pair of cheeks instead of the gun, and..?
@@AC-fg4kg Thing is, that whole sequence was a waste of time. Like it sounded like really cool concept, using reverse guns and whatever. But they end up never actually utilising this concept.
