What I find interesting about this video is that depending on your political leanings, you see the "other" sides "crazy leader" in Till's character.

    Lyrik:
From childhood, we are taught traditional values and ideals by our parents through a system of reward and punishment.
If the child does something that is approved of by the parents, he or she is rewarded, usually with affection and tenderness. However, if the child does something that is "inappropriate" or "wrong" in the eyes of the parents, he or she is punished and penalised.
This continues in childhood under the parental protective mantle and later in adulthood under the pressure of society. Political and religious leaders use fear to control the masses. "If you do something wrong, you will be punished". We have internalised this since childhood, it is a part of us.
Man is afraid of punishment and punishment, both physical and moral.
Therefore, any institution that plays some role in society will use fear to control and suppress people's actions. This has been the case since the dawn of mankind, but intensified with the rise of Christianity and the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages (which is not called the Dark Ages for nothing).
Also interesting in the clip is the political tone that Rammstein strikes. We see the band members as "good citizens" who lick their hair, dress well and fraternise with their neighbours at a nice Sunday barbecue. Until a madman shows up, straitjacket and all, and starts making speeches to these good citizens who were once good children. This crazy character stirs up fear and causes chaos. Soon the good citizens have to protect themselves, they cannot allow their values (or rather the values of the madmen) to be distorted.
Where do we go from here? With a smile on their faces, they build walls, install cameras and fences and pay for their guns.
The cameras are to monitor, the wall and fences are to obstruct and keep out, and the guns are to "defend" the good customs and traditional values of these men.
The issue of refugees should also be seen in this context. Some political and religious leaders are strictly against accepting refugees. This is communicated to the people with the discourse of fear that the refugees will take away their jobs, their friends, their wives, that they will corrupt their culture, their values and their customs. "These are my waves, my beach, my land".
See also Rammstein's Song and Video : Mein Land (My Country)
    My Interpretation :
A song about media propaganda through the internet and its effect .
This is another song into which everyone can interpret what they want.
Some see it as a reference to the US (cheerleaders, typical US suburban middle class, in golf club dress, mowing the lawn, barbeque and quick unlimited access to guns.
    Some on internet conspiracy theorists.
Some on Nazis, because of the colour scheme.
Others to Orwell's 1984 because of the aesthetics of the video.
Probably also a good metaphor for the conspiracy theme (Covid, 9/11, deep state), everyone sees what they want to see.
There are also allusions to racism, refugees from Africa and the Middle East, illegal immigration from South America, Trump, storming the Capitol, George Floyd, politically correct language and the ambiguous German term der Schwarze Mann (the black man) from the children's game.
This term was originally coined from the Black Death
the plague in Europe in the Middle Ages which one should not get too close to as a warning for one's life.
To put it briefly with a famous Rammstein Song in this video:
We're all living in America....so it's just the normal madness.

(Copy & pasted from other reaction-comment I previously made)
    Just some remarks:
The several times mentioned "Schwarze Mann" ("black man") is known as a child fright figure in the German-speaking area ("Wer hat Angst vorm Schwarzen Mann" = Who does fear the black man). Depending on the region and time, it was understood to mean different beings: a dark shadowy figure or a man dressed in black. As a metaphor, the "bogeyman" reached a "peak" as personalization of evil, savagery, and the unknown in the course of colonization, and in the process also acquired a racist connotation. In this context, I find the consumption of those sweets (German so-called "negro kisses") at the end during the end credits very interesting, which work through this "black man" symbolism.
Also the colors usage is interesting (Black/White/Red representing the Nazi-color Spectrum). I also found it interesting at the end of the credits that when the TV was destroyed, the color came back into the picture.
Further, I noticed that the pie-like plots seen from above correspond to the "political symbol" at the lectern where the singer, wearing a straitjacket, gives his speech. After these borders & plots collapse during the wild shoot-out, the politician, unleashed by the straitjacket to spread his propaganda/fear.
Cheering on the cheerleaders is the equivalent of pitching an idea/product and the dancers are slammed with money to sell the bricks and guns to the landowners.
This Clip has many layers and can be interpreted in many directions. I see there is a statement on xenophobia and populism/media

The boogieman (schwarzer mann) is not shown in the video. It’s a metaphor for the enemy, the evil man that gets you if you don’t behave. You got the point on that. The crazy leader in the video represents your/our actual leader. He is feeding you the picture of the enemy. We all know who the boogieman is right now in the world. The guys in their living section is YOU! Influenced with Fear, caught up in a rat race, desperate for safety, willing to sacrifice lives. It’s the path to hell and that’s where they are going in the video, with the tv still chained on their legs.
At the end, no one changes anything, sitting there stuffing their face with candy and waste time watching other people suffer instead of help.
What’s to learn here? Smash your TVs, Vote everyone who is pro War out of office!!! Make peace talks, not war! Send pencils, food and harvesting tools instead of guns!!! Get the f**k human again! SPEAK UP FOR PEACE, don’t remain silent or go to h3ll.
We live in a time where the good old days will come to an sudden end very very soon. Choose wisely!
Now go listen to “Zeit” and you’ll be in the mood to change something! ❤️✌️

"Schwarzer Mann" in Germany is more like the boogy man. Like you tell your children to behave or the boogy man (Schwarzer Mann) will get them.

The cheerleader moves including the chanting in the beginning and the end are probably referencing the "Haka Dance" done by the Maori, the indigenous people of New Zealand. The candy which the band eats in the end was called "Negerküsse" "Negro Kisses" back in the day. The name was changed a couple of years ago.

@@BaldHeadedMETAL To be honest I didn't even know about this dance before the release of this video. A friend of mine pointed it out to me. The dance is supposed to intimidate your opponents. Also, there is a rumour going on that Oliver Riedel, the band's bassist, is one of the cheerleaders performing in the video.

I think you understood the concept of the video and then it's up to the listener and his/her interpretation. Till in the song/video represents the boogeyman, which historically is based of 16th century childrens play. Boogeyman in this scenario could be anything, everything and/or anybody that instills doubt, fear and therefore creates such behavior in which people become isolated and dont trust but also dont question anything. In my opinion, the video and song is not only criticizing the current political situation, but also media and the society. It also has historical references which would play into the current shift to far right a lot of countries are going through associated with an increase in hate, racism, bigotry etc. The song itself is pretty thought provoking.

It's mainly about the refugee "crisis" and the fear about the black unknown man from over the sea. Stupid people in social media told to be scared because they'll touch girls (bist du nicht brav, fasst er dich an), they're pure evil and won't go away (das Böse kommt, wird nicht mehr gehen), etc..
Secondly it's about people believing more in social media & TV than in humanity and their own thoughts.
