After your Rammstein trip, try some Orphaned Land.
Middle-Eastern/Oriental metal (and the band who defined the genre).
      Worth your time!
They have a very wide range of songs, from ballads to total headbangers.
If you want a more specific recommendation just let me know!

      @@MommaTaunT Hi!
If I can recommend another rather unique song:
This is a cover for Mama (Phil Collins) by a band named Tarot, whose lead singer is Marko Hiatala (Ex. Nightwish bass).
It was off UA-cam for a long time (copyrights? no idea) but has been uploaded a year ago by some people.
I assume you know the original, this has a nice twist to it...
      Hope you enjoy it!

Oh yes, it's a nice idea to also propose non-Rammstein metal. 😀
I would recommend the mongolian folk-metal band "The HU" with their video "Wolf Totem".
      ua-cam.com/video/jM8dCGIm6yc/v-deo.html
(As they sing in mongolian language, you should activate the english subtitles.)
To be fair, their song "Yuve Yuve Yu" might better meet normal hearing expectations. But it is more fun to see someone listening "The HU" for the first time with "Wolf Totem". 😉
Link to "Yuve Yuve Yu": ua-cam.com/video/v4xZUr0BEfE/v-deo.html
Both videos (and some more) are official ones with very good quality. Recorded live sessions from The HU on youtube mostly have a terrible sound quality, painful to hear.
If you'll try this, it will at least be surprising. And I've become a fan after listening a few of their songs.

The video is based on Norse mythology. The three figures are the norns Urðr, Verðandi, and Skuld. They represent the past, present, and future. Whenever a child is born they are present to decide its faith, below the ash tree Yggrasil that is the center of the universe in the mythology.

In almost all reaction videos to "Zeit" the Norns are promoted as interpretation. The allegoral concept of such three figures related to time / fate / destiny is much broader thoughout European mythology. "Die drei Parzen" / the Parcae from Roman mythology are pretty much a link to that, and because I'm lazy and it is late, I c+p from English Wikipedia:
      Nona (Greek equivalent Clotho), who spun the thread of life from her distaff onto her spindle;
      Decima (Greek Lachesis), who measured the thread of life with her rod;
Morta (Greek Atropos), who cut the thread of life and chose the manner of a person's death.

Precisely the point. Asserting that “this is what the song is about”, as the initial commenter in this thread did, is in other words a personal interpretation, not fact. Particularly for people new to Rammstein, it would be good to state up front that this is an interpretation.

great raction^^ The three creepy figures are called time keepers by Rammstein. Doubtless an referring to the Norns. According to the "Völuspa", Norns (Nornir) are three immortal female figures in pre-Christian, old Germanic/Nordic mythology who sit on the banks of the Urd River at the root of the world ash Yagdrasil and spin the threads of fate for gods and humans. (The three sinister figures in the Rammstein video undoubtedly provide an analogy) The names of the three Norns are:
"Urd" (fate / that which has become) She is an old woman who constantly looks back over her shoulder at the time long past.
"Verdandi" (Present / The Being) She has the form of a young woman who is always looking ahead.
"Skuld" (Future/The Becoming) Unlike Urd and Verdandi, Skuld is an unpredictable force that has no love for gods or humans. She wears a veil and holds a book or scroll in each hand. Her gaze is always directed in the opposite direction of Urd's gaze.
The Nornir spin the thread of Fate and life for every human being, and when that thread is severed, the human's life ends. Remnants of this mythology can still be found today in the Germanic/Nordic language area. There is a commonly used saying for a person who is in danger of death. "His life hangs by a thin thread only".

What this band does has continued to impress me more, and more over the years. There's something about their music that feels free. A willingness to follow creativity wherever it leads. Over the nearly 30 years I've been listening to them, they've steadily gotten better at it, and some of their most recent material is the best. I very much agree with the other comment below that Deutschland is an absolute masterpiece.

Another thing that came to my mind is the babies being put back in to the mother to be born again on earth and also coming back in a sense they died on earth and are now being born in the other world and their birth or rebirth on earth is them already starting to die because as soon as your born your dying..your dying to live or as Rammstein put it "Wir sterben weiter bis wir leben" "We keep dying until we live" because in a sense what we perceive as dying is us actually being born again into the other world that's why the girl in the end seems happy when she dies because she knows that her death here means her being born over there..if that makes any Sense? This is art at its finest 🥰

My interpretation and thought was time goes on like a continuous cycle and those rare occasions when we are truly happy of course we want time to stop. The showing of the sand and hourglass ⌛ time keeps going and them showing the scenes reversing to me meant a desire to go back in time either to the moment of birth and start our lives over or to before we're even born saying no i don't even want to be born i want to go back before i was even conscious of my own existence and mortality. Them being blindfolded to me was no one knows whats going to happen in the future we don't know what kind of lives these babies are going to have.

Rammstein always have awesome videos, but their live shows are even beyond these.
Here are are some general suggestions:
"Sonne" (Live at Download Festival 2016) --> Hot as the name giving sun (Sonne = Sun)
"Ich tu Dir weh" (Hurricane Festival / Rammstein Official) --> Great singing and insane stage action towards the end)
"Mein Teil" (Live Hurricane Festival 2013) --> Read the story behind the song (a real case of cannibalism!) first
„Willst Du das Bett in Flammen Sehn" (Paris Version) --> Pyro Fashion, power, everything that Rammstein stands for
"Benzin" (Madison Square Garden) --> Benzin = Gasoline --> burns well. And maybe also a man?
There are of course a lot more insane live videos of them: "Links 2,3,4", Engel, "Mann gegen Mann", "Mutter", "Feuer Frei", "Ich will", ... Have fun and rock on!
Paris is more a concert movie with post production and released as Directors Cut“. Therefore I personally wouldn't start with "Du Hast" which is of course fantastic. But it's not "true live".
You have to be aware that here a German band is playing in Paris / New York and the French / American audience is singing along in German. Music can unite! :-)

Of the ballads they've done, I'd recommend "Mutter“ (“Mother"). I heard some band members say a few years ago that this was their best song they did (back then). Also, the band almost broke up over a video that went with it. The video was shot only with Till (singer). And that was not agreed upon. They usually don't release anything that everyone doesn't agree with.
There is an infinite amount to say about Rammstein, but it doesn't all fit into one comment.

It would never have occurred to me that Bud Spencer and Terence Hill are used for learning German. But yes: they are funny and they use simple German. They're pretty 70's too.
At the Rammstein concerts, the first rows of spectators are called the Feuerzone and there are fans who don't go there. Studio videos and live performances are both worth seeing. So it makes sense to watch the same song twice.
Engel was a commercial success and was the entry point into Rammstein for many. So starting with that can't be so wrong.
In folk metal there are bands in German:
    Feuerschwanz - Schubsetanz

    Nice reaction. 👍
What videos to watch from Rammstein? I have a few suggestions.
If you want to see their (incredible) live performances I would suggest (in this sequence):
    * Rammlied (live from Madison Square Garden)
    * Du hast (live from Paris)
    * Engel (live from Madison Square Garden)
    * Ich tu dir weh (from Madison Square Garden) (don't take the lyrics to serious)
Amazing official videos from their last album "Zeit" in sequence of the tracks on the album:
    * Zeit (Time) slow, dark, melancholic (* You watched it already. *)
    * Zick Zack (Snip Snap) catchy song, sarcastic, funny
    * Angst (Fear) very Rammstein, scary, credits at the end are helpful to understand the message
    * Dicke Titten (Big Boobs) heavy (most of the time), catchy, funny, credits are funny too
    * Adieu (Goodbye) dark, sometimes heavy, emotional
Last but not least the great (but not nice) video "Deutschland" which has a lot of references to (mostly unpleasent) parts of German history. Video, lyrics, and sound are great (my view) and work very well together.
I wish you to enjoy your Rammstein journey.

I don't think anything can prepare you for a Rammstein live show. The "classic" reactor entry point is "Du hast" live in Paris and rightfully so. Being european you can understand what an achievement it is when a french (british, japanese, american, russian) audience sings along a german song at the top of their lungs.
If you continue on this path, you will quickly see, that all their songs deliver food for your brain and that is not only lyrics and music, but also video and live show. Everything adds to the rest and they tend to be very uncompromising about whatever they do. Nothing in these videos is by chance.

But be aware this video has been produced for a concert DVD. So one effect is post-prcessed and in some cases slow motioneffects for dramatisation. So in case you do Paris, you should also do a video of the current concerts from their stadium tour that's not that "produced". It's still impressive.

We are blind, though we have sight,
Some things should happen, some should not,
    We’re casting shadows without light.
    After us there’ll be "Before",
    Our youth turns into pain.
We live in death till we’re no more,
We die until we live again.
We’re drifting straight towards the end,
    Striving forward without rest,
    Infinity beckons on the shoreline
But we’re caught up in the flow of.
Time, I beg of you just freeze,
Time, make my now last forever please.
ur warm bodies will grow cold
Nothing can make time stand still
    The future cannot be controlled,
It creates a moment just to kill it.
I’m lying here in your arms, oh,
How I wish it could go on,
But mercy’s what time never shows and
    The moment is already gone.
Time, I beg of you just freeze,
Time, make my now last forever please.
    Time, this is so beautiful,
    It’s always so clear
    When your moment is here.
When our time has finally come
And it is time to go,
    Stop when it’s most beautiful.
    Make the clock run slow.
The moment is so perfect but,
    The time keeps slipping away
Oh moment, I’m not ready yet,
    Please, I ask you stay.
    Time, I beg...................................

English translation. It's a beautiful song
Much [I] should have much not
We see, yet we are blind
    We throw shadows without light
According to us it’s given in advance
    Youth soon turns into need
We die futher until we live
    Die living into death
    Against the end we press
    No rest, only forwards strive
    On the shore beckons eternity
Trapped so in the river of time
    Please stand still, stand still
Time, this should always go on so
    Warm body is soon cold
A future can’t be conjured up
    Tolerates no stay
    Create and straightaway destroy
I lie here in your arms
Ah, if it could just be forever
    But time knowns no mercy
    Already the moment is over
Time, please stand still, stand still
Time this should always go on so
Time, it is so beautiful so beautiful
    Anyone knows the perfect moment
Time please stand still, stand still
    When our time has come
Then it is time to go
Stop, when it is most beautiful
    The clocks stand still
    So perfect is the moment
    Yet time runs on
    Moment, linger still
    I am not ready yet
Time, please stand still, stand still
Time this should always go on so
Time, it is so beautiful, so beautiful
    Anyone knows the perfect moment

Please make a reaction to a young, very popular singer in world. Videos from this singer collect hundreds of millions of views. Diana Ankudinova is now only 19 years old. She has a very unique, very deep, clear voice.
Dr. Marc Reynolds (Voice Teacher, Stage Director, Performance Coach and Consultant, and Acting Coach) said about the performance of this girl:
"Really really exceptional! Even if you ignore her age, even is she was 10, 20, 30 years older, this is still a really exceptional performer here that we're seeing. But at her age, unbelievable. Really really exceptional! Absolutely gorgeous! And again, not just because of her voice, because her performing, watching how nuanced and engaging her performance is. Ah, it's just so stunning. Some things shan't(should not)
We see, yet we are blind
    We cast shadows without light
After us, there will be a 'before'
Out of youth, necessity is born already
We keep dying until we live
    (We) die living into(the)death
    We drift towards the end
    No rest, just striving forward
Endlessness is waving at the shore
Captured in the river of time
    Time
    Please stand still, stand still

This shall go on forever and always
Warm body will be cold soon
    One cannot conjure the future
    Allows for no stay
    Creating and destroying immediately

Oh, could it just be like this forever
But the time knows of no mercy
    Already, the moment is gone

Hi, nothing about the music cause I've heard it several times and is very good. As you say, the video is very creative and adds to the experience. What I wanted to say is that I learnt German the same way, by watching German television, even before I got taught German in school. The dubbing was generally awful but in those days, that was not an issue. Nowadays the bar is so high. Question: you lived in the Netherlands. Are you Dutch?
