  • This is our first time in Perth and Australia! We researched and chose some of the best places to visit and food to eat in Western Australia. We mapped out our itinerary with maximum 3-hour driving per day. And we came up with route from Perth, Busselton, Margaret River, and all the way down to Cape Leeuwin and came back to Perth. On this trip, we gonna focus on and enjoy the southern part of the Western Australia and we skipped all the northern destinations like the famous Pinnacles Desert, we'll keep it for the next time!
    🧇 Most favourite/memorable food amongst those that we ate:
    - 🍓 Sayer's Sister, Perth
    - 🍩 Chu Bakery, Perth

      DO NOT DO IT. Limited jobs. No police, not enough health care, not enough education. Go to Victoria, NSW or Qland.
      You are NOT WELCOME IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA,we are full, go away.

    If you go to Rottnest just for the day, use the island bus service, not a bicycle.

      Any reason why the bus but not the bicycle pls

      @@nicolewong9491 If you are there for only a day visit, you can cover more ground and see more with the bus. They stop at various points every half hour so pretty easy to hop on and off. Cycling to the west end is actually quite a long way. I’m a cyclist and I would only get a bike if I was there for a longer period.

    My first and only time in Perth was in Aug. '82 when I was in the US Navy....such a beautiful city (or town?).....I'm guessing it's changed quite dramatically since my visit....

      You wouldn't recognise Perth now. It was just under a million people back then, 2.25 million now. With freeways everywhere, underground rail, it's still very, very easy to move around. It is now officially the world's longest city, stretching 150km, almost 100 miles along the coast.
      Google.; Perth and Swan River from Kings Park. Keep scrolling through.
      Also, Matagarup Bridge at night, Optus Stadium. Elizabeth Quay.
      Since your visit, WA has developed some of the world's great wines, food, and the coffee is to die for.

    • @sandgroperwookiee65

      Yep, it's changed a bit since I was 17..in '82.
      Still beautiful & clean. Much more to do, see, easier to explore etc...& the weather's still great! 👍 😁

    Fremantle isnt really a city, its just the port of Perth. Its a combination of satellite cities or municipalities like counties, Perth is made up of the city of Meville, Joondaluo, Swan Fremantle etc... Many people thinks its going to be out of Perth, but ifs in the centre of the metro coastal area.

    • @mattbarbarich3295
      @mattbarbarich3295 Місяць тому +1

      Fremantle is a city in every way and older then Perth. Just because it's suburbs rub shoulders with the ones of nearby Perth doesn't lessen the fact, and it's retained its beautiful old architecture which Perth city shamefully demolished almost all 40-50years ago.

    • @duncanmackenzie4076
      @duncanmackenzie4076 Місяць тому

      @@mattbarbarich3295 You obviously don't live here, Fremantle doesnt have suburds, other municipalities mentioned below do but not Fremantle as its so.small. it has a north, south and east section. Fremantle is actually classed as suburd of you guessed it: Perth it doesn't just rub shoulders with Perths suburbs, its smack in the middle of the coastal metropolitan area of the city.
      Again Perth is made up of several municipalities including Meville, Joondalup, Swan, Wanneroo etc... and Fremnatle which serves as Perths port city. These collectively make up the city of Perth. Fremantle is part or Perth. But I asusme by your self-righteous retort that you know better.
      I was born and raised in Fremantle, when someone asks me where I'm from I say "Perth" not Freo. And Perth had lost alot of it's old architecture, that's called progress. There is still some beautiful old buildings in the city and its surrounds if you cared to look, but it also does still have Fremantle whcih again is part of Perth!!!.

    • @duncanmackenzie4076
      @duncanmackenzie4076 Місяць тому

      @@mattbarbarich3295 Fremantle is a Western Australian suburb located in Perth at the mouth of the Swan River, and is situated 18 kilometres (11 mi) from the Perth central business district. One of the original settlements of the Swan River Colony established in 1829 is within the area known today as this suburb.

      @@duncanmackenzie4076I know where Fremantle is , I've been friggin going there since the 1960s.
      It has had city status for many decades and even though I don't live there I'm sure the vast number of its inhabitants don't consider their city just a "suburb" of Perth with its very different culture , economy and history and the people of South Fremantle , East Fremantle , White Gum Valley etc would mostly concour too I'm sure. (Fremantle officially became a City on 3 June 1929, definetly not a suburb of Perth City today).

    • @duncanmackenzie4076
      @duncanmackenzie4076 Місяць тому

      @@mattbarbarich3295 again its s a municipality, it's a Port city of Perth. I live here FFS, an you still are so self-righteous you belive otherwise. Joondalup, Wanaeroo, Stirling, Swan, Meville etc...and FREMANTLE make up the City of Perth. Fremnatle like those is part of Perth, you cant be serious arguing this. It literally sits in the centre of the metro area.
      And youre not even from here and you keep replying with this, its obtuse.
      East, South and North are divisions of Fremnatle, White Gum Valley, Occonor etc come under the electorate of Fremantle and are surburbs in Perth.
      Again I live in Fremantle, we like everyone else here consider ourselves part of Perth. Its 15 minutes to the CBD, we are literally are in the centre of the coastal area.
      I have family who live in Joondalup, they also consider themselves part of the City of Perth, because again it's in the METRo AREA OF PERTH. I dont know how this is so hard for someone who isn't from here to understand. It's not like Geelong an hour down the freeway to another CITY!!!!!
