Thanks, guys; a nice video! WA's something of a hidden gem. It's huge, the best way to see it is to drive and, if you're tuned into the subtleties of the constantly-changing landscape, there's always something to see. The coast too is amazingly diverse. As a Geraldton resident (Gerra to the locals) I know that the Coral Coast and the Mid West Region is a great to live or to visit. It needs time, as the distances are larger than you think, but it's unlike any other region in Australia. Indeed, it's almost like another country, as is all of WA. I don't get pedantic about pronunciation (eg Don-gar-rar, Dong-ara, Dongara, etc); everyone understands what's being said. Just enjoy the place for what it is - wonderful and unique.
Hi guys great job with the drone, good into about our state. Just wanted to say that it's Dirk Hartog Island, not Hartod. No need for me to correct pronunciations, as I see many other west aussies have done that. I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing
I must say I'm surprised you missed off the space link with Carnarvon. You can't miss the big dish on the way into town and there's been some historical moments ☺
The tiny Western Australian town of Kulja is interested in tourism - a promo song could easily be arranged via repurposing of the Destiny's Child hit Soldier. Altering to chorus line from Soldier to Kulja. 'I need Kulja that ain't scared to stand up for me...'
This would be the most hectic trip you could ever imagine, you wouldn’t have time to see any of what was described and you’d need a week off when you got home just to rest! None of these locations are a day trip. You’d need to do this in 4 weeks to scratch the surface, not 10 days. And ask a local how to pronounce the place names 😅
10 days!? You'd barley have time to stop, take a photo, get your feet wet then move onto the next destination. You need at least 15-20 days for this kind of trip.
Thank you for your feedback. Sorry for the mispronunciations. We've filmed more in April, to be published soon, we will double check on location pronunciations.
Yeah,we 'hate' mispronunciations here in the West lol...* Just ask the locals for pronunciations 👍😉 Ah to have the cash to travel again, especially in this massive beautiful state. ❤️🇦🇺 Thx for the vid👍👍
@@chrisrichards1018 been to cervantes stayed in the motel on the way to the Pinacles, was amazing also the dolphins at Monkey Mia. Ended up at Coral Bay, Ningaloo Reef absolutely amazing, recommend to anyone, been there twice. Wonderful.
@@FirstClassTravel I knew where you were and most West Aussies would too 👍😊 I think you did a good job with the names, most eastern staters mispronounce the names of half the suburbs in Perth anyway (including the local radio/tv media).
As a native sandgroper it’s just a tad painful hearing the narrator mispronounce 90% of the names of these destinations, it suggests she has never taken a trip up the west coast & is reading a script prepared by someone else. “Of course she is!” You say… & fair enough, but surely SOMEONE who’s part of the production team that put this beautiful travel guide together has heard of these towns before? It’s like an Australian pronouncing Sydney “Sideknee”. I don’t mean to upset anyone or sound like a whining Karen, but it does make me wince a little & so I thought it worth mentioning. An Otherwise lovely clip guys, thank you ☺️❤️👍
Greetings from the USA. I dream of traveling to Australia one day. Thank you for the amazing presentation
You will go NUTZ, it’s unreal but so big!
What a great video. Thanks very much. Greetings from Norway 🇳🇴

Yes, it is such an incredible location, and a unique part of the world.

Dunno, I've lived in Perth and worked in Denham/Monkey Mia, and the local vernacular for Geraldton is "Gero". Meh.
@@OfficialRedDirtNurse Hehe, only goes to prove that there's no such thing as correct pronunciation! :))
I really want to visit and travel in Western Australia
you won't be disappointed. Check out the sister video Southern coastal drive from Perth, just as amazing
Awesome video. I'm hoping to move to WA from the UK on the dama visa. So exploring as much of the state as i can through videos! 😍
Welcome to Australia. Western Australia is indeed an amazing place !
Check out the sister video road trip Perth to Esperance, equally beautiful if not more

This trip is probably some things to do in Perth
Excellent video. Any hotel suggestions for overnight stays at each place?

Local pronounciations are:
• Dongara = "DONG-grah"
• Kalbarri = "Kal-BARRY"
• Abrolhos ="A-BROLL-iss"
• Cervates = "Ser-VAN-tees"
Thank you!

@@FirstClassTravel it's all good, 90% of Australia/Australians can't pronounce some place WA names 👍😉
That's a lot to do in 10 days, would easily allow 2-3 weeks for that sort of itinerary
absolutely. If you have 2-3 weeks, you won't run out of places to explore

True, it’s more enjoyable if it’s 2weeks,
Whilst the scenery is spectacular. You have pronounced Dongara and Kalbarri incorrectly.

Too bad the narrator didn't take the time to learn the pronunciation of some of the places that she mentions. Otherwise a decent video presentation.

That 'tool' from Destination WA probably wrote the script.
don-gar-ah ?!
hmmm...
Huh
Travel Video Making 101. Learn how to correctly pronounce the place names you mention. Dongara is NOT pronounced Don-ga-ra. Prounounced Dongurra...
Great video except for the croaking voice. Sounds like Kim Kardashian
