- Many organizations, especially nonprofits, use google sheets for day to day data management and tracking. In this video I will show you how you can export Salesforce data directly into Google sheets.
You will learn how to:
1. Install the Data Connector for Salesforce add-on in Google Spreadsheets
2. Export Salesforce report data into Google Sheets
3. Export data from a Salesforce objects into Google Sheets
4. Export the results of a SOQL query into Google Sheets

Is there a way to automatically update the data from time to time based on the previously set SOQL
No I don't believe you can do auto updates with this particular tool. However, there is another paid tool called G-Connector for Salesforce which does have scheduling features. I haven't used that tool but have heard of others who have. Here's a link if you want to explore: workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/gconnector_for_salesforce/971770431958
Hope this helps!

Hmm... it seems like one cannot use the Add-On in a developer org if one does not have a paid Salesforce License. Please let me know if I am missing something. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Hi chaaltube, the Data Connector for Salesforce is a free add-on and is available in developer orgs. I created this tutorial in a developer org. I just went back to the example and tried to pull the data again from the developer org and it worked. So I don't think you need to purchase anything on the Salesforce end to make this work.
Hope this helps!

@@signiforce Thank you for your prompt response! Will give it a shot. And, will let you know if it does not work. Thanks again and great video!! Very helpful.
"Report loading is limited to the first 2000 rows. This is a limitation of the Salesforce API."
Is there a way we can conveniently load all the records automatically? I understand that would mean making several API calls.
Hi Muhammad, glad you found the tutorial helpful. The 2000 row limitation is for the report export. This is the Salesforce Analytics API limitation. However, the limit does not apply to a SOQL query. The best way to get more than 2000 records would be to get the data via a SOQL query instead of report.
@@signiforce Yes, I tried a SOQL query and it worked. This helped a lot, thank you!
