If sensitive person becomes ssj so easy, Radish would be the first one when vegetables kill Napa cabbage. And the he would then out of control and destroy planet earth
Raditz always fought smart instead of with brute strength. That’s why he didn’t get strength from Zenkai boosts. He never put himself in a near death situation.
This may make a bit of sense. But perhaps checkout the "power levels are bullshit" video by Eli of plaqgue of gripes. Actually showed the opposite - raditz was 4x stronger than both piccolo and Goku, but he keeps making mistakes, tactical errors, he wasn't able to raise or even lower his power level, he was not able to think outside the immediate scope of the right, and doesn't think ahead. Good comment though
@@bogartwilley None of that fits his chapters in the Manga, though. Neither Raditz, nor Nappa, nor Vegeta could change their power levels, the very concept seems alien to the entire Freeza force, except maybe Freeza himself. Raditz expected to have an easy time, that he didn't need to take his opponents serious, because in his mind, there really was no way for these two to ever match up to him. When he witnessed them "stockpiling" their power into their techniques, he was surprised because he had never before seen the like. And he does absolutely think. When he realized he couldn't break Goku's stranglehold with what power he had left, he tried words instead. When he had Goku down, he realized that Piccolo would need more time to prepare the technique again, than it would take him to kill the Namekian. Other than playing with his food, as it were, what mistakes does Raditz actually make that do not stem from his misconceptions about how the universe is supposed to work?
Yeah I think raditz was just weak. But he did survive as number 3 out of 5 Saiyans. And the only reason nappa was strong is because he was way older than them like 20 years +.
@@monkeymadness1604 they were lower class saiyans, of course they would be weak, nappa and vegeta were like the "top tier" in the saiyans i guess you could say
Common misconception. Raditz wasn't weak for a Saiyan, it's just that Nappa and Vegeta were outrageously strong. Raditz was classified as a mid-tier warrior, the rank and file of the Saiyan military. Nappa was an elite warrior, among the best of the best, and Vegeta (a.k.a. Prince Vegeta IV) was a one-in-a-million super elite due to his royal heritage.
yes that’s why it was insane when they saw broly at 10k and couldn’t believe it and made sent him away. nappa despite being in 4k range was second in command or whatever to king vegeta. so the power levels made sense at the time, being king vegeta supposedly at 18k (i might be wrong), it makes sense his son was obviously a prodigy and have insane high power level compared to rest of saiyans.
Nardo Sanmero that's what I'm talking about theese guys are making me laugh on that almost 30 minute discussion we also forget that since vegeta was the son of the king of the race he was shown as a young age not only was he getting the elite jobs he was training with the little green as a kid and he killed them like noting
mr hentai I know huh. the anime has already explained that Nappa was the general in the saiyan army, Vegeta was the king's son (they were both elite warriors), and Raditz was Goku's brother (who Vegeta has always mocked as being a low class saiyan warrior) so obviously Raditz who is son of Bardock (a low class warrior) and brother to Goku would also be a low class warrior. So I understand it when people/fanboys have arguments about complicated stuff like the ending of the third Matrix movie, but this is childsplay. It's so obvious why Nappa and Vegeta were stronger than Raditz. You don't need a long as video to explain that.
I don't take anything he says seriously anymore he often can't remember most story elements and retcons that thing because of it so anything he says is dismissed as false to me no matter what it is
@@joethegreat1008 what's your point. Yeah that's on me I made that decision and so should alot of others unless he fully quits and has no say so in anything
Makes sense. Unlike Vegeta, Raditz never pushed himself. He probably spent his time fighting weaker opponents, approaching every battle with a low-risk high-return mindset. This is apparent when we learn how he never trained to overcome the weakness in his tail. Essentially, Raditz was lazy.
Raditz was a proud saiyan warrior he was basically invincible when it came to most planets so its possible it made him think he was stronger than he actually was he didnt even train his tail so its clear he didnt take training seriously because in his eyes he was as strong as he needed to be
Just imagine raditz comming back to life. Raditz: Wait is that my super weak brother wonder what his power level is now? 1 second later Raditz: Wtf all the zeros doesnt fit on the screen
Raditz said, after Gohan went rage mode and smashed into his armor: "You're the first person to damage me like this" Which implies that Raditz has never experienced a Zenkai, as Gohan really only shattered Raditz armor and knocked him on his ass. For Raditz to have reached twice Goku's power level, without experiencing a zenkai, is impressive.
I believe it mainly has to do with the mindsets of the surviving saiyans. Vegeta expressed many times that saiyans believed your power level was destined from birth: if you were born high status then you'd become powerful, if you were born low-status you could never become powerful. Raditz was born low-status, from the same low-status parents as Goku. Hence I believe Raditz grew up with a very limiting mindset, he never continually pushed himself to keep breaking his limits like Goku did throughout his life and like how Vegeta has done since he met Goku because he didn't believe that was possible. He grew up with a mindset of stagnation.
But here’s the thing though, raditz has good genetics with him being the son of bardock who also got to a power level of 10,000 when he was considered a “low class warrior” and yet he surpassed nappa and was somewhat close to vegeta’s power level. Also of course, he’s goku’s brother who is a god now lol I think it’s just part of the plot of course to have raditz weaker than nappa or vegeta, or else Goku and piccolo would have no chance
But bardock was strong tho, he and his team was getting really strong after each mission thats got frieza attention and to get rid of them before realize
goku being an alien was actually referenced as early as the pilaf saga. after goku becomes oozaru and smashes up pilaf's castle, oolong says "what is he, some kind of space alien?"
kay kay that doesn’t really cover it at all...Goku was at least as low level as Raditz and far surpassed someone like Nappa once he was around the people he was around.
Yo he's second only to vegeta and Nappa the prince and the commander. And hes been training alongside them for years and years. You'd think he would be stronger right?
@@jackcarter8000 Goku had to have a lot of training Raditz was way stronger than Goku he was weaker than Vegeta because he was just weaker Goku did all that training and he was still weaker than Vegeta

BLADEZEE GAMING yeah and Goku had to sacrifice his life to hold Raditz for the long charge up of the special beam, in fact didnt it take 2 to take him out? Weak my ass. He almost killed Goku AND Picollo.
I think the way Raditz reacts to what Gohan does to him tells the story. I remember him saying “no one has ever damaged me like this nephew” so that tells you he’s never been in serious altercations especially cause it didn’t even get through his armor
+Quintillion I just don't like Raditz character design at all! a redesigned, better written Raditz would be an amazing Z Fighter for Goku's brother!! no doubt! no question!
Devon Stevenson I agree that an updated raditz would be great. Add some ssj 1 2 3 4 g gss and he'll be near daddy, brother, first nephew, boss, boss's son, fusion of brother and boss, fusion of boss's son and second nephew. Speaking of nephews what happen to Goten getting his own ssj3? Trunks gets one but Goten is left out again. That's the life of a playa the 😽 better than insane transformations
Jeremiah McIntosh I didn’t really like him but I do wish he would’ve stuck around, as he would’ve definitely grown on me. I loved Nappa a lot though and wish he had stayed though.
slim reaper saibaman are weaker than radditz, the reason why nappy referring saibaman are as strong as radditz was because they were trolling about him rather than actual source.
Remember, the reason why a low class saiyan like Bardock became powerful to rival King Vegeta was because his team always took the most difficult missions and returning half dead and recovered in the healing tank.
The anime predicted Goku being an alien likely before Toriyama himself settled on it (Oolong's comment at the end of the Pilaf arc, Major Metallitron scanning Goku). Both are throwaway gags, but still interesting in context.
Yeah, now that you mention it I remember that. Oolong said, Piccolo said it, Yajirobe said Goku was an alien when he met Goku. And yeah, I remember Metalitron scaning Goku: Alien... Very funny. And ut turn out to be true. 😂
You guys are downplaying the power nappa, raditz and other low level frieza warriors had. Freiza's empire dominated the universe. Meaning even freiza's fodder was too powerful for most alien civilizations. The ginyu force were freeza's strongest warriors and were basically untouchable by most life forms. Vegeta was at a power level of 18,000 but was still considered a valuable asset by freiza. Raditz was only 1,200 but that still solos all of dragonball and is probably as devastating to alien civilizations as it would be on earth if goku and piccolo weren't so strong. It's possible nappa and vegeta trained their asses off to get the power level they have. Also when it comes to vegeta I think what separates him from other saiyans is that he probably had different mindset. He probably didn't want to rely on his oozaru form as much as most saiyans and also felt a need to be strong being the prince. He probably had an "extreme" mindset of training relative to what saiyans would consider normal. They only seem weak with the frame we have coming from the rest of dragonball z and super.
Also power scouters definitely has affects on aliens that we don't think about. Not just knowing which enemies are stronger and thus not getting into fights you might lose (and thus getting a zenkai boost) but it may also be demotivating. Knowing you're low level and never seeing other saiyans or aliens transcend their power status may demotivate aliens and saiyans from ever wanting to train. Even the concept of zenkai boosts may not have been fully known by all saiyans; like it could've just been elite knowledge the saiyan royals kept separate from the main population.
Imagine the strongest dude you can think of.. Even if he multiplied his power level by 3 he's not hitting 100. Raditz at 1200 was already hitting the speed of light. Just some things to keep in mind for perspective..? It's all relative Thanks for all the likes guys, I forgot about this until I see the replies lol
If I remember correctly the Saiyan spaceships, that Raditz and other saiyans would have used, can project a moon into the sky that can cause the great ape transformation.
I recall reading somewhere that Raditz showed an unusual fear of death for a Saiyan. Which is to say he took exceptional precautions to make sure he didn't risk dying, which would have prevented him from gaining large power boosts through zenkai.
Raditz was weak because he was a coward. His fear of death turned him away from fighting anyone stronger than he was, therefore he never broke a sweat and never pushed himself to get stronger.
I have two ideas: 1) Raditz never really pushed himself like Goku and Vegeta did. 2) Vegeta and Nappa were royalty, descending from the strongest saiyans. They were more inclined to be stronger than Raditz, whom we know was not from royalty. They wouldn't even be working together had it not been for the fact that Raditz was one of the only saiyans left alive at the time.
+Max Vianna Royalty thing does not really apply, couse aldo BArdock was not as elte, he was wwaaaaay stronger than most of low class Sayians, and probably Elites too.
Max Vianna I'm pretty sure that the average elite saiyan is nowhere near 15k considering that's around vegeta power level in the saiyan saga and he was considered a prodigy he surpassed his father very early he says that in the namek saga against frieza I think. So if vegeta who is so much stronger than any other saiyan was 18k and nappa who was very ranked very high in saiyan hierarchy he may have even been a general Idk was only about 4 or 5k. Then besides king vegeta, bardock and prince vegeta no one comes close to even cracking 10k. And yes bardock was considered a low class warrior even though he eventually became as strong as king vegeta. Bardock, goku and vegeta especially goku are freaks not the norm. The average saiyan if born of low class almost always stay low class.
Max Vianna considering how strong and advanced vegeta was yes. Remember most saiyans don't train they rely on delay zenkai boosts to get stronger. The strongest saiyans who were the king and Bardock and no other saiyan was even on their level
I actually liked the character of raditz just bc of the concept that goku has an older brother and I wish he would come back and have a family and gotten more powerful
Zenki boost only happens when you fight till near death. Raditz was kinda a coward and very smart. He used underhanded tactics and would avoid fights that would leave a chance of ever getting near death.
Geekdom101 First off, they're family. They could bond if they had a common enemy in the first place. Secondly, they would help each other, Goku trains Raditz while Raditz gives him pointers on Saiyan Biology Third, he can be the one to make use on the Great Ape form. I know there are other reasons I just can't think of, but other factors could connect the Son/Briefs families and making Goten and Trunks cousins.
Geekdom101 Then again it would make more sense for Raditz to come around than Vegeta. Saiyans may not even care about their young, even Vegeta didn't care about his own son. So I am inclined that a Raditz that just arrived wouldn't care for the safety for his nephew.
Correct the fact that Raditz can use his Ki is a rare feat in itself. Most of the Freiza force can't use their Ki for anything but flying and if they can they're directing it into an arm canon to amplify it.
its relatively rare but the upper limit for most people is like 15,000, over 1,000 is actually reasonably common among stronger opponents, if you are above that you are among like 50 people at most, which is kinda crazy to think about considering the strongest fighters now are like in the trillions and higher.
@@shady8045 toriyama himself confirmed only 12 saiyans including vegeta himself was considered upper class raditz 1200 power level was decent considering those snipers frieza killed power level was 2k and he was surprised
Yeah that was after the saiyans were eliminated. I'm pretty sure the average saiyan was above that. If Raditz was lower class and Nappa was where the elites started the average saiyan was probably around 1000-3000. DBS Broly showed this with the snipers in the tower. Also I find it odd King Vegeta was upset at Broly being in the same nursery as saiyan elites. Since Paragus was a colonel in the saiyan army and has a power level of 4,200 so he was elite if Nappa was elite.
The reason is that Toriyama was constantly retconning his own work. Raditz was originally written to be one of the most powerful warriors of all-time. But Toriyama just kept boosting the power of all the characters, so Raditz eventually became literally millions of times weaker than the other characters in the universe, and weaker than even random soldiers.
The answer always seemed obvious to me. Kakarot/Goku was cut from a lower cloth than Vegeta and Nappa both, Vegeta stated this as one of the main reasons he is so pissed off that Goku is stronger. To further emphasize this, Kakarot's brother is also cut from a lower cloth. The fact that he was with Vegeta's team is still a huge honor for him, but, being a product of their culture where status is determined by your power level at birth, he just accepted his status and...well, that's it. His responsibilities were likely nowhere near as hazardous as Vegeta's and Nappa's because he was likely given work based on his status, which would have stunted his growth in comparison as well. Goku, not being a product of their culture, grew up completely differently. He grew up learning multiple techniques from various masters, whereas most Saiyajins just grew in strength from constant battle - in other words, Saiyajins were always strong because of Zenkai Boost, while Goku got strong through training with various masters and obtained numerous techniques as a result. This is why Goku won against Vegeta - he simply had the superior technique (namely Kaio-ken).
I believe it’s something mentioned by vegeta when putting goku into the water tank on Namek, and that the water boosted the effect, but the more damage would result in more growth.
@Adrian Scott u have to be near death for it to work according to the manga. Goku took a hell of a beating in that fight but was not near death. Merely taking damage isnt enough. Remember when vegeta told krillin to try to kill him and that he would lower his guard just enough? Even in super we see goku hiring hit to kill him then he restarts his own heart with that ki blast. Thats a zenkai. Mark my words goku and vegeta will come back hella strong after the zenkai from moro..... But yeah u gotta be near death. Thats what many fans and youtubers forget idk why cuz its stated by vegeta explicitly in the manga. The wound also cannot be self inflicted unless someone takes control of ur body like ginyu taking gokus body and wounding it and then switching.
@@AngelofYugo yes, it was mentioned twice in fact, once by Kuririn/Krillin in Namek saga to Gohan or Bulma, and once by Vegeta in Frieza saga to The evil emperor himself
Yeah that's what I think I don't believe that you have to be near death I believe sayings get boost in just battling what if you almost died you get a higher than zenkai boost
Why does toryama do raditz like that. I want him to come back because he is very important I mean look at him he’s goku’s brother so he needs to be significant
Because Raditz was the first villain, and therefore the weakest. The other guys needed to be stronger so Goku had a reason to get stronger. What would happen if Cell came back and trained for 4 months? Answer: he'd be however strong the plot requires him to be.
Not true. Not in super. Frieza literally did this and he was not stronger than goku or vegeta and they basically toyed with him the whole movie and fucking merked him.if they had really intended to kill him right away the world woulve never been blown up but whis turned back time. Beerus is legit stronger than every villain but the fights are not his to fight. Whis is even stronger. Vegeta is basically on gokus level now for the first time its not bullshit. And to be fair u can say this about ANY franchise. Theres not one franchise or story out there where the good guys dont previal in the end. Who knows maybe moro will finally destroy everything and that will be that
Raditz was so weak because he never got injured or close to death by a strong opponent and so he never got a boost from that he always faught weak fighters from other planets
Because Bardock, raditz and goku are low class saiyans. The only reason goku is strong is because he has been training with gods like King Kai since the saiyan saga.
+Misha then again Bardock was technically the 1st super sayain and he was an above average sayain as he was able to easily kill some of friezas men when he fought dodria and when he went to face frieza
+Andy Khuong I'm pretty sure he was considered low on the ladder by his comrades as they treated him like shit. He became super saiyan to protect that weird race that he had grown to become fond of.
raditz was actually pretty strong. it took goku and piccolo combined to beat him. Two of the earths strongest fighters, and piccolo was a namek. If you look at the other humans at the time, krillon, yamcha, tien etc they are all pretty weak in comparison but are still some of the earths strongest fighters. The reason vegeta and knappa are so much stronger is b/c vegeta is the prince of all saiyans and knappa is like the head general of their army. One of the saiyans strongest fighters. It makes sense that a general and royalty with a special bloodline would be a lot stronger than a low level soldier.
Raditz was only about Average for a saiyan warrior, but he does seem to have some combat abilities above the average warrior(Double Sunday,Saturday Crush) Keep in mind,Raditz has most likely never experienced a Zenkai boost,as he states Gohan was the first to ever damage his armor🤔...
Yeah idk why they are even questioning why raditz is so weak comparatively. Vegeta is a prince and nappa was a general of the whole saiyan army so naturally they both will have much higher power levels and obviously the weaker your power level the weaker the mission you get assigned. Plus I think raditz personality was more of a lazy one he didn’t really care to push himself to the limit.
I'd love to see Raditz return too. If DBZ has taught me anything it's that Afterworld training is OP. And Raditz has been dead...and presumably in hell for a LONG time now. Plus he's Goku's brother. Imagine he comes back having gotten training from HELL for all those years!
I realize this is an older video but I thought I would mention this. Nappa is shown as an adult when Raditz and Vegeta are kids in the new super Broly movie. It would make more sense that Raditz is a mid-level warrior because he was sent to the same planet as Vegeta in the movie. I think you were right to an extent. Vegeta probably grows in power faster because he is an elite Sayian Warrior. That would explain the vast power difference between Him and Raditz who were about the same age in the movie. However, Nappa is clearly in the movie older than the two boys by at least 20 or so years. Nappa probably is more powerful than Raditz because he is a veteran elite Sayian. He has been in more battles and probably starts off with a higher base power level.
Something has been plaguing me since watching the Broly movie; after freeza destroyed planet vegeta raditz, Napa and vegeta we’re standing on an unknown planet with two other saiyans after receiving the news from its destruction, my question is, what was the fate of those other 2 saiyans and why are they unaccounted for?
The Saiyans being sent as infants is not Canon. They are sent to planets at the age of three, as seen in Dragon Ball Zero - goku knew his parents but lost memory of them after hitting his head. The scenes showing Goku's Saiyan Pod and the scenes with Grandpa Gohan and baby Goku are filler. Raditz was not a third class, He was a second class (a single class under the elite) Raditz would be sent against weaklings while Nappa and Vegeta would have "fun" with the "stronger" victims of their genocide. Raditz was 24 years old. 3 years on Planet Vegeta is not enough training under 10x Gravity Vegeta has natural power and talent. As do the other "elites" The Saiyan race never trained. The never trained at all, they fought, killed/died and If they survived.... they thrived. most of the times however, they didn't survive, or they didn't face border-line opponents that almost killed them. Soldifying the false belief of classes in the minds of the Saiyans and refusing their "weaker at birth" siblings proper fights that would inevitably increase their power. The reason Goku was so far under Raditz was the lack of gravity training and adversaries as powerful as his fellow Saiyans. At most, Goku would've had a power-level of 100 If he did not train and simply eradicted the Earth (and people like Roshi didn't exist to defend it from him) The whole point of the fight between Goku in Vegeta was to show that power isn't limited by heritage. and that with "youth!" and hardwork that even the weakest can become strong. This is what pushes Vegeta to train, whereas he barely did when he was younger, That's my theory, MY ANIME THEORY!
+Mohammad Al-Zawahreh Dude thats not fan speculation, everything you just said was fact. Every fan of DBZ knows why Radditz was so weak. Which is why the subject of this video is odd.
I enjoy the speculation, but Raditz could clearly hold his own against Goku and Piccolo individually and as a unit. It was only by Goku sacrificing his wellbeing by "bearhugging" Raditz in order to let piccolo attack with a full powered "Special beam cannon" that they were even remotely close to defeating Raditz. I'm sure Raditz could have obliterated them immediately, but he was on earth to retrieve his brother, not kill him. Any other power level conundrums could be explained away by the fact that Raditz was just the first bad guy in DBZ. It would have been contextually ridiculous to have him prevail over the protagonists.
I think the reason Raditz is so much weaker than the others is because he tended to avoid fights. This is not really backed up by anything in the story, but considering his character I think it makes sense. He was probably born a low class Saiyan and we have seen him act like a cowardly fighter when he was against Goku and Piccolo. Also, considering that he was always with Vegeta and Nappa, he most likely let them do all of the heavy lifting during fights.
18:58 We found out that the Legendary Super Saiyajin, fought against the Super Saiyajin God. The civil war of Sadela, which occurred more than 1000 years before the story. The more important question is that the Saiyajin were depicted as being Primitive compared to the Tsufuru, thus, how did they arrive on Planet Plant, in the first place? Gives credence to the story that Saiyajin were brought to Plant, as "dumb labor" until the Saiyajin got sick of it, and attacked.
tarble is probably the opposite of goku. goku is a "low class" whose power grows insanely fast. tarble could be an elite who has a decent base level and it just never goes up.
Imo Radditz is a slightly stronger low level Saiyan. I feel like the 10x gravity automatically increases your natural strength. So I believe 600-1500 is around low level, the unseen middle class would be up to 3500, while Elites would max out around 7,000. IMO Vegeta, King Vegeta, Bardock and Goku are all prodigies. Thus why they are so much stronger. In particular Goku and Vegeta massively surpass their fathers due to being born gifted. I feel being a low level is why Goku's power is low at birth, but because his dad is so powerful it's in his genetics to surpass his normal standards. I also feel like if Goku would've stayed on Vegeta, his power would've been around 800 or better, due to the gravity, but ultimately he would wind up much weaker in the long run. The special training on Earth and on Kaio Sama's would seal the deal. But just my opinion as I feel saiyans are strong, but only compared to weaker enemies. Excluding transformations of course. Great video guys!
Yes Bill. Chi Chi is a bitch. Death has no real meaning in the Dragonball verse BECAUSE OF THE FUCKING DRAGONBALLS! One of the reasons why I love that line in DBZA "They SAY lifetime supply but they never factor in the dragonballs."
Didn't care about him until I watch the video of "what if raditz turned good". I didn't think it was possible for him to redeem, before I watch some video games of what if scenarios.
You were talking at the start about hints that Goku was an alien, you can in fact go all the way back to the RRA saga in Dragonball. Metallic scanned Goku during his assault on muscle tower and part of the scan says "Look Alien?"

I hate when peopel try to act like Vegeta is stronger because they don't to want to take in to account that Goku could use Kaioken. That's like completely ignoring Vegeta's Great Ape ability. Kaioken is the reason why Goku was stronger than Vegeta.
+Geekdom101 Reading what I said again I didn't mean it this way but the last thing I said is true in super as well. Kaioken is why Goku is currently stronger than Vegeta. Really enjoy your content by the way, glad I stumbled across your channel.(:
I do believe had there not been interference from Gohan, Krillin and Jajirobe, Vegeta would've beaten Goku. and that's both of them using their abilities Kaoiken and Great Ape. Vegeta took everything Goku dished out and even with the interference was able to move (crawl) on his own out of there while Goku was completely immobile. So I do have to disagree when people say Goku was stronger than Vegeta in that fight.
but by your logic Vegeta is stronger because the ape form. Also goku was spent just beating Vegeta's Galic Gun and could barely fight after that. but vegeta was still fighting after that.
lol raditz was not weak. Raditz was a 2nd class (middle class) saiyan going by power. His power level was 1500, not 1200. 1200 is a misconception because of bad translations. The proper translation from nappa is "going off power alone, these saibamen rival raditz". 1200 is rivaling 1500. That's why gohan's headbutt didn't kill raditz but weaken him. It's also why raditz was able to effectively cancel out goku's kamehameha and dodged the special beam cannon. He dodged because the attack registered as strong as he was. That's something he can't block. As the cannons made up over 90% of of raditz total power. Nappa was an elite or first class saiyan/citizen. Vegeta was a super elite or royalty going by power. The average level of frieza's foot soldiers was 1000. The stronger one's were over 1500-2000. People have this misconception that saiyans are powerful because of what we see them become via goku and ssj etc. Saiyans are naturally strong, but they have a great affinity to fight. That's their gift. Fighting. Raditz said that goku's level was lower than he would've liked (416), but could still make do. So goku was likely at the low end of a low class saiyan. This threshold is probably as low as 200. Raditz may've wanted goku to be as strong as what gohan displayed when he cried (700+). That would be the mid tier low class. In power/social class for saiyans: Super elite class: 9000+ to 18,000 Elite class: 3500 to 8000+ 2nd class: 1200 to 3000+ 3rd class: 200 to 1000+ Based on the likely back story of raditz getting shipped off to some far away planet as a child, he got pretty strong. Stronger than goku in about the same time. Raditz is the same age as vegeta. Going by that alone, raditz has as much if not more potential than goku, by a factor of at least 3x's goku's potential.
Laro C well yea sure. But I just making the point that saiyans are not uber powerful beings. Only stronger than most species, especially w/the great ape forms. The namek fighters ave higher levels than most saiyans.
Jiron127 It's a shame that Piccolo is one of the weak Z fighters now :( I wish in dbs they get him a transformation or atleast a major boost, so he can rival the Saiyans. He kept up with the Super Saiyans pre hyperbolic time chamber in the Android saga.
Remember too, that the Saiyan ships have projections of the moon in them, so that the soldiers can use that artificial moon to transform instead of the handmade moon.
If Nappa comes back to life, I totally see him searching for women. Seriously he was happy when heard that humans can breed with Saiyans. After get rejected over and over again he tries to ask for "help", but Goku is not that smart, he hates Vegeta, so begs for help for Yamcha.
Nappa hooks up with Tien's stalking automatic lover... *LAUNCH*! Imagine them two meetin' up, huh? Can definitely see Tien starting to feel some "feelings" for Launch then and perhaps resentful jealously against Nappa if she gets with him. Oh yeah... the plot thickens...
I think the whole point of Raditz is that he's a typical bully. He won't pick a fight that he's not guaranteed to win.Not only does this deprive him of Zenkai boosts, but it also means that he's never aspiring to be anything greater than he is. You can never get better at anything if you never push yourself and fighting is no exception. Raditz only cared about crushing weak planets for profit. Vegetal on the other hand was aiming to overthrow frieze and Goku spent his whole life challenging stronger foes.
I’d have to say Raditz started the series off with a bang! He was stronger than the main hero Goku and his main rival of Piccolo at the time. He forced them to team up and caused Goku’s death. Him not being as strong as Vegeta or Nappa was ok because of how he progressed the story. He put his little brother in check, that was more than ok with me haha with that being said, had Raditz gotten the proper training; I think he would have been stronger than Nappa and he would have killed both Guku and Piccolo. Clearly he would have take Gohan in this scenario as well. I also believe that both sons of Bardock have great potential, just Radditz did not get to unlock his due to some of the points made in this video.
To me, Raditz is genetically similar to Goku. On Earth, he was stronger because he had a sligthly better experience of fighting than him, but since he was weaker than Nappa and Vegeta and mocked for that, he, imho, had less of a drive to train than Goku, explaining that he still did not totaly overpower it. Thus, we have to compare him with Goku, which without the Zenkai boosts and godly training is barely better than Krillin, to have an idea why he is so weak. He has less innate power than the other two, and, unlike Goku, never surpassed that barrier. I think Raditz was always meant as a sort of twisted miroir of Goku, ultimately failing where Goku was best.
James Akrane goku is also PHYSICALLY weaker then vegeta technically. keep in mind if you know how martial arts works you must have a strong body and mind. also vegeta is 4 years older then goku and genetically stronger
joe mankey Wait but isn't it the other way around, isn't it that Goku has amazing amount of natural talent, and Vegeta caught up by doing unhuman training daily,he even got the majin boost but as he later find out even that wasn't enoughf.
haus973 To me, Saiyans start at a certain power that more or less represents their potential, and Zenkai boosts and special trainings exponentially upgrade that potential. Imho, that means that all the different professionnal trainings that Goku went through plus all the near death experiences were enough to bridge the power gap.
haus973 its dbz lots of inconsistencies, also look and one peice and naruto even more inconsistencies still more explanation then american comics. well in the end of the day they are all martial artist(strong body strong mind) that's what dbz was mainly about remember the world MARTIAL ARTS tournament. maybe an example of vegetas genetics well look at there hairs for example why is vegats so high and spiky. because its semi suppose to represent a crown and gokus and other low level sayjins are shaggy
I will always love the beginning of Z. When all the other fighters stood a chance of contributing to the fight. It was simple exciting and fun to follow
The beginning of Z is about people that are enemies having to reluctantly join forces to take out a significant evil foe. Both have their own reasons. *Note, Goku and Piccolo went alone because Roshi and Kiririn weren't going to be able to help, as he was just put into Kamé house's wall from what was the Saiyan weakness, the tail. 2 fighters contributed as they already knew they stood no chance.
My theory is Raditz relied too much on his great ape transformation to destroy planets, he never got the zenkai boost The other theory is he only got sent to very weak planets so he never got to fight anyone that pushed him to his limits The other theory as to why vegeta was so above the rest was... frezia purposely sent vegeta to stronger planets hoping he would die or fail but instead vegeta surpassed his limits and got stronger every time
Hey Geekdom101 I just thought of something revolving around Vegeta. Why is it, after Planet Vegeta was destroyed, why did Prince Vegeta keep referring to himself as Prince? You'd think that after King Vegeta dies, that Prince Vegeta was next in line for the throne. So after Freize blew up Planet Vegeta and killed King Vegeta, doesn't that make Prince Vegeta the new king at point?
Justin Lynch well to become a king there has to be a ceremony. There never was. So its impossible to be a king and have it be true. Vegeta has too much pride to just say he is king.
I'm not really sure what the point in addressing stuff like this is? DBZ is littered with plot holes and inconsistencies, Akira Toriyama just isn't a good writer in that sense. Akira Toriyama was great at creating worlds and characters but his inability to keep track of things like power levels, or completely abandoning concepts altogether such as Saiyan tales, is quite damaging to the overall story. Just enjoy DBZ for what it is, a guilty pleasure.
Ben G He's not a complete terrible writer! I understand your reasons, but calling him a bad writer is so invalid! There's actually scenes that are actually well written then you think. I'm tired of arrogances!
I wish Raditz survived and ended up becoming a good guy like Vegeta. He's Goku's brother for God's sake, and he kinda just got killed and forgotten about... Holy shit, imagine Raditz as a Super Saiyan. Woulda made SSJ3 look kinda redundant. *HOLY SHIT!!* Imagine Raditz going SSJ3! His hair is so big already that he'd literally just turn into a flying golden hairball the size of a fucking house!
Frustrated Kaiju ,of all the ridiculous other comments people made in this video, yours by far is the funniest and coolest, it made me laugh, you get double thumbs up.
Bruh, vegeta was training ever sense he was a little kid. Remember that scene when he was fighting like 5 or 6 sibaman when he was a little kid. Not only that but freza sent him on a bunch of missions when he was still a kid and Napa went with him everywhere. Do you guys live under a rock??? And obivously Radditz didnt fight as hard as vegeta and nappa. Plus vegeta and nappa seem like the type of dudes that hog the ball. Get it?
Actually, Goku has ALWAYS been foreshadowed being an alien in OG Dragon Ball because Bulma and others have been calling little Goku an alien for a long time, it was clearly on the nose
I mean Nappa was an Elite, Vegeta a Super Elite, and I mean he was just a low-class Saiyan warrior just like Goku and a majority of them, as well as Bardock
Than gohan since he was a kid was a super duper mega elite bardock was stronger than nappa and goku for a the first part of the boo saga was the strongest is the training we all saw what real appropriate training can do and I mean goku and gohan in the room of spirit and time
My theory is that Raditz when to a planet as a baby and it took him a while to catch up with the other Saiyans. If you think about it, where would his space pod have gone after he left the planet he was on? Not to Planet Vegeta.
Actually I think Raditz was quite strong probably a bit less than Nappa but because he was literally outmanned against Goku and Piccolo and also got careless and cocky, he lost.
maybe raditz was a scholar at heart like gohan and just lied about his battles when seperated from vegeta and nappa and thought goku would just join him and that thered be no fighting
They actually hint at goku being an alien way earlier than he said in the video. During the fight goku has with mettalitron at muscle tower, when metallitron scan goku with his terminator vision it registers him as an “unknown alien lifeform”.
No, he never said it was the exact same. Nappa said they were about as strong. Besides the official supplinentary guides state Raditz power level at 1500 and Nappa's saibamen at 1200.
I never wondered why he was weak, I wondered how long his hair would get if he went ssj3...
same
He goes bald
He’s look like Cousin It
He would like ho into his hair so no one sees what he does under it
If sensitive person becomes ssj so easy, Radish would be the first one when vegetables kill Napa cabbage.
@@bogartwilley he played with them like gohan with cell
@@bogartwilley: i was gonna bring that same video up
so...he's just cowardly and wasn't sent to very strong planets

Nappa should be mid class consider that bardock is much more powerful than nappa and is a low class
yes that’s why it was insane when they saw broly at 10k and couldn’t believe it and made sent him away. nappa despite being in 4k range was second in command or whatever to king vegeta. so the power levels made sense at the time, being king vegeta supposedly at 18k (i might be wrong), it makes sense his son was obviously a prodigy and have insane high power level compared to rest of saiyans.
vegeta had elite status and royal pedigree duh.
Nappas was sort of a general im the saijan army.
Raditz was a regular solider, its simply really.
that's what I'm saying. It's so obvious I'm stunned that people have whole discussions and arguments over this kind of shit
Nardo Sanmero that's what I'm talking about theese guys are making me laugh on that almost 30 minute discussion we also forget that since vegeta was the son of the king of the race he was shown as a young age not only was he getting the elite jobs he was training with the little green as a kid and he killed them like noting
mr hentai
I know huh. the anime has already explained that Nappa was the general in the saiyan army, Vegeta was the king's son (they were both elite warriors), and Raditz was Goku's brother (who Vegeta has always mocked as being a low class saiyan warrior) so obviously Raditz who is son of Bardock (a low class warrior) and brother to Goku would also be a low class warrior.
So I understand it when people/fanboys have arguments about complicated stuff like the ending of the third Matrix movie, but this is childsplay. It's so obvious why Nappa and Vegeta were stronger than Raditz. You don't need a long as video to explain that.

More likely he was just sent to weaker planets like goku or fought in his great ape form
Vegeta didn't really took training to account until the Namek saga while dying before Goku battles 4th form Frieza.
Raditz was a proud saiyan warrior he was basically invincible when it came to most planets so its possible it made him think he was stronger than he actually was he didnt even train his tail so its clear he didnt take training seriously because in his eyes he was as strong as he needed to be

+black zoj actually vegeta destroyed the potara earings so he couldn't fuss with goku. Also vegeta didn't want to fuse
So all you have to do was BELIEVE!!!?!?!?
But bardock was strong tho, he and his team was getting really strong after each mission thats got frieza attention and to get rid of them before realize

Ok and.
He is the Santana of the Sayans
I mean the guys as strong as saibamen and yamcha and krillin killed a bunch of them
slim reaper saibaman are weaker than radditz, the reason why nappy referring saibaman are as strong as radditz was because they were trolling about him rather than actual source.
Bardock was at 10.000. Bardock was low class too
Remember, the reason why a low class saiyan like Bardock became powerful to rival King Vegeta was because his team always took the most difficult missions and returning half dead and recovered in the healing tank.

Only in the show not in manga.

Raditz was a lazy saiyan maybe its bar docks fault because when goku was born he neglected raditz or plainly a bad father
Yup
@@francisrubenbelga9206 both maybe? He disregarded goku because of his power level of 5 and maybe he disregarded raditz too
I have two ideas:
1) Raditz never really pushed himself like Goku and Vegeta did.
2) Vegeta and Nappa were royalty, descending from the strongest saiyans. They were more inclined to be stronger than Raditz, whom we know was not from royalty. They wouldn't even be working together had it not been for the fact that Raditz was one of the only saiyans left alive at the time.
+Max Vianna vegeta is shown training as a kid .
Max Vianna they were by far

I actually think Raditz is a better choice for a Saiyan villain turned hero than Vegeta
Michael Iv whys that?
Geekdom101 First off, they're family. They could bond if they had a common enemy in the first place.
Secondly, they would help each other, Goku trains Raditz while Raditz gives him pointers on Saiyan Biology
Third, he can be the one to make use on the Great Ape form.
I know there are other reasons I just can't think of, but other factors could connect the Son/Briefs families and making Goten and Trunks cousins.
Michael Iv Both were pretty much assholes though, family or not. If anything, shouldnt it be worse that Raditz was willing to kill his nephew!?
Geekdom101 Then again it would make more sense for Raditz to come around than Vegeta. Saiyans may not even care about their young, even Vegeta didn't care about his own son. So I am inclined that a Raditz that just arrived wouldn't care for the safety for his nephew.
Michael Iv Goku did tho
1'000+ powerlevel is rare according to DBS Broly.
Correct the fact that Raditz can use his Ki is a rare feat in itself. Most of the Freiza force can't use their Ki for anything but flying and if they can they're directing it into an arm canon to amplify it.
After the saiyans were deleted
its relatively rare but the upper limit for most people is like 15,000, over 1,000 is actually reasonably common among stronger opponents, if you are above that you are among like 50 people at most, which is kinda crazy to think about considering the strongest fighters now are like in the trillions and higher.
This
Apparently Raditz is actually above average for a Saiyan fighter- it's just that everyone else is so much more powerful.
Kaio what?
Dwight Gutierrez Goku lost to Vegeta though... but I see what you mean.
@@Beastybeast608 bro, I think ypubreplied to the wrong person
Dwight Gutierrez lol I just realized
Mr.Anomaly Goku lost to Vegeta though... but I see what you mean.
I always figured that the amount of damage you actually take reflects the size of a zenkai. So stronger opponents give greater zenkais.
I would LOVE for there to be a spin-off for the saiyan race. The saiyans are just so badass.
But they are not talking about what is needed from the story they are trying to come up with an interesting explanation for it in the show
+Misha yes
+Misha then again Bardock was technically the 1st super sayain and he was an above average sayain as he was able to easily kill some of friezas men when he fought dodria and when he went to face frieza
+Andy Khuong I'm pretty sure he was considered low on the ladder by his comrades as they treated him like shit. He became super saiyan to protect that weird race that he had grown to become fond of.
What about Turles Goku's other half brother?
raditz was actually pretty strong. it took goku and piccolo combined to beat him.
Exactly
As the show progresses jes going to be weak I agree he was a badass
RMA Studio Nappa dude
Raditz was only about Average for a saiyan warrior, but he does seem to have some combat abilities above the average warrior(Double Sunday,Saturday Crush)
Keep in mind,Raditz has most likely never experienced a Zenkai boost,as he states Gohan was the first to ever damage his armor🤔...
Ur comparing a low class sayian to the general and prince of the sayian race
Lol excatly

Only the supreme elite like vegeta have the right to train. raditz was weaker so he can't train this will be his power level
And every group needs an ass whooping from Yamcha that like to make fun of him nowadays
What about when Vegeta was killing Saibamen in the Bardock movie was that not training?
+ChanWalrusMusic yes it was but that was also not in the manga
Ah I see, I havn't read it, so :D thanks! :)
+ChanWalrusMusic yeah but the manga just wouldn't go into things like that it's easier to do that background stuff in shows rather than a manga.
It was as much training as killing flies are a form of training.
and Nappa was a general in the saiyan military.
When you think about it he was a lot stronger than goku and piccolo in his day
Raditz fulfils the role of Saiyan Yamcha, that is why he is so weak, someone had to do it.
Gohan has inherited that mantle.
Lmao, the duty must go on
oh the irony
Nah vegeta has assumed that role now he's such a waste ever since cell came he's done nothing
How come goku doesn't have a widows peak ???
I'd love to see Raditz return too. If DBZ has taught me anything it's that Afterworld training is OP. And Raditz has been dead...and presumably in hell for a LONG time now. Plus he's Goku's brother.
Imagine he comes back having gotten training from HELL for all those years!

Krazy Stargazer raditz. kinda sounds like "rabbits"
@Apples for life
Bullshit. Where?
nappa probably ate them
Most likely hunted down and killed . Or Perhaps Frieza had Vegeta kill them to prove his loyalty to Frieza.
guy who's as strong as a saibamen says what?
Lord Yamcha A single Frieza Soldier could have wiped out the entirety of Earth before Piccolo learned the Special Beam Cannon.
What
The Saiyans being sent as infants is not Canon.
They are sent to planets at the age of three, as seen in Dragon Ball Zero - goku knew his parents but lost memory of them after hitting his head.
The scenes showing Goku's Saiyan Pod and the scenes with Grandpa Gohan and baby Goku are filler.
Raditz was not a third class, He was a second class (a single class under the elite)
Raditz would be sent against weaklings while Nappa and Vegeta would have "fun" with the "stronger" victims of their genocide.
Raditz was 24 years old.
3 years on Planet Vegeta is not enough training under 10x Gravity
Vegeta has natural power and talent.
As do the other "elites"
The Saiyan race never trained.
At most, Goku would've had a power-level of 100 If he did not train and simply eradicted the Earth (and people like Roshi didn't exist to defend it from him)
The whole point of the fight between Goku in Vegeta was to show that power isn't limited by heritage. and that with "youth!" and hardwork that even the weakest can become strong.
This is what pushes Vegeta to train, whereas he barely did when he was younger,
That's my theory, MY ANIME THEORY!
+Mohammad Al-Zawahreh why isn't this a top comment!
Well put!
Must You
+Mohammad Al-Zawahreh Dude thats not fan speculation, everything you just said was fact. Every fan of DBZ knows why Radditz was so weak. Which is why the subject of this video is odd.
+jumpstart55million Oh yeah. It's total fact. I know because the REAL Piccolo told me this when I met him in real life.
You ignore Gohan's contribution. His power jumped way above Raditz's power. That blow to Radtiz allowed Goku to restrain him.
Because he was too afraid of death to get a zenkai boost
18:58
We found out that the Legendary Super Saiyajin, fought against the Super Saiyajin God.
He didn't fight AGAINST any super Saiyan God, that is false. Yamoshi was merely a super saiyan and failed to defeat the evil Saiyans. That's it
I love to come back and watch these videos bro . Good ole days .
tarble is probably the opposite of goku. goku is a "low class" whose power grows insanely fast. tarble could be an elite who has a decent base level and it just never goes up.
Great video guys!
good th inking
+Geekdom101 thank you sir, I also feel that is why Gohan, Goten, and Trunks are so strong. But again good video and look forward to more content.

"They SAY lifetime supply but they never factor in the dragonballs."
I love Raditz

I hate when peopel try to act like Vegeta is stronger because they don't to want to take in to account that Goku could use Kaioken. That's like completely ignoring Vegeta's Great Ape ability. Kaioken is the reason why Goku was stronger than Vegeta.
you are correct!
Also goku was spent just beating Vegeta's Galic Gun and could barely fight after that. but vegeta was still fighting after that.
vegeta is deffinetly stronger in base form
"Broly's not canon"
Hasn't aged well lol
lol raditz was not weak.
In power/social class for saiyans:
Super elite class: 9000+ to 18,000
Elite class: 3500 to 8000+
2nd class: 1200 to 3000+
3rd class: 200 to 1000+
Based on the likely back story of raditz getting shipped off to some far away planet as a child, he got pretty strong. Stronger than goku in about the same time. Raditz is the same age as vegeta. Going by that alone, raditz has as much if not more potential than goku, by a factor of at least 3x's goku's potential.
Jiron127 Totally agree, but Saiyans are still strong cause Greate Ape
Laro C well yea sure. But I just making the point that saiyans are not uber powerful beings. Only stronger than most species, especially w/the great ape forms. The namek fighters ave higher levels than most saiyans.
Jiron127 Yea Nameks are like Super Elite level maybe higher.
Laro C The warrior nameks seen in the name saga were all in the area of 2500-3000. Making them elite level
Jiron127 It's a shame that Piccolo is one of the weak Z fighters now :( I wish in dbs they get him a transformation or atleast a major boost, so he can rival the Saiyans. He kept up with the Super Saiyans pre hyperbolic time chamber in the Android saga.

If Nappa comes back to life, I totally see him searching for women. Seriously he was happy when heard that humans can breed with Saiyans. After get rejected over and over again he tries to ask for "help", but Goku is not that smart, he hates Vegeta, so begs for help for Yamcha.

Hmph. Sounds like a fanfiction plot. X)
Hes a lacky
babysinclairfan you’re right
We got some really tough vegetales
James Akrane not saying that vegeta is stronger
joe mankey Wait but isn't it the other way around, isn't it that Goku has amazing amount of natural talent, and Vegeta caught up by doing unhuman training daily,he even got the majin boost but as he later find out even that wasn't enoughf.
haus973 To me, Saiyans start at a certain power that more or less represents their potential, and Zenkai boosts and special trainings exponentially upgrade that potential.
People only want Nappa back because he is one of the best characters on Abridged.
My theory is Raditz relied too much on his great ape transformation to destroy planets, he never got the zenkai boost
The other theory is he only got sent to very weak planets so he never got to fight anyone that pushed him to his limits
The other theory as to why vegeta was so above the rest was... frezia purposely sent vegeta to stronger planets hoping he would die or fail but instead vegeta surpassed his limits and got stronger every time
i always thought that it was because frieza sent them to weaker planets to deliberately keep them from getting stronger.
maybe, thanks for commenting man. This is an old video
Justin Lynch he prolly want to respect his dead dad lol

People just like making hypothesis's
Ben G He's not a complete terrible writer! I understand your reasons, but calling him a bad writer is so invalid! There's actually scenes that are actually well written then you think.
I'm tired of arrogances!

He has mustache and eyebrows.
Kevin Yonathan so what would ssj3 nappa look like
Palatano Probably overgrown beard like ISIS soldiers. The real question is... what would SSJ 3 Raditz looks like.
Probably more like a male Rapunzel. It would be hilarious.
Vegeta kinda explained that he and nappa had trained to make the weakness of their tails go away and radditz didn't, he still had that weakness
Oolong asks if Goku was an alien after the first time he transformed.
MetroidLord1 But Goku got strong... whys HE so special? :)
Than gohan since he was a kid was a super duper mega elite bardock was stronger than nappa and goku for a the first part of the boo saga was the strongest is the training we all saw what real appropriate training can do and I mean goku and gohan in the room of spirit and time
Alex Pardes indeed
Geekdom101 and talent I mean we all saw beerus say goku was a prodigy
Alex Pardes indeed
My theory is that Raditz when to a planet as a baby and it took him a while to catch up with the other Saiyans. If you think about it, where would his space pod have gone after he left the planet he was on? Not to Planet Vegeta.
Actually I think Raditz was quite strong probably a bit less than Nappa but because he was literally outmanned against Goku and Piccolo and also got careless and cocky, he lost.
maybe raditz was a scholar at heart like gohan and just lied about his battles when seperated from vegeta and nappa and thought goku would just join him and that thered be no fighting
Raditz= low level saiyin
Nappa= commander or general in sayin army.
Vegeta= saiyin Prince super elite. Comon guys
But goku is also a low level warrior? Same level as raditz. So they’re ranking doesn’t really mean anything
@@jackgarcia4950 low level saiyan 300-1500
Mid level saiyan 2000-3000
Elite saiyan- 4500-18k or more
They actually hint at goku being an alien way earlier than he said in the video. During the fight goku has with mettalitron at muscle tower, when metallitron scan goku with his terminator vision it registers him as an “unknown alien lifeform”.
Because Toriyama.
***** Pilaf is the first enemy.
Geekdom101 wrong it was yamcha
Alex Pardes i dont count him! If thats the case, its the fucking bird from episode 1
***** Its all one story brother. All one big huge story!!!!! hahaha
***** LOL!
Biggest save?????
Some people think that his power level was 1,500 when it was actually 1,200 same as a saibaman, Nappa confirmed it in the show.
No, he never said it was the exact same. Nappa said they were about as strong. Besides the official supplinentary guides state Raditz power level at 1500 and Nappa's saibamen at 1200.
No raditz was definetly 1500 pl but vegeta and nappa were just making joke from his pl saying that he is like a saibaman
