Information about the IELTS Reading test:
The IELTS Reading exam is divided into three sections of increasing difficulty.
This test requires you to answer 40 questions in 60 minutes.
In my opinion, the IELTS Reading exam can also be seen as a vocabulary exam. The reason is that you need a wide range of vocabulary to understand the passages of text given to you. You must also have an awareness of synonyms if you wish to identify the information required to answer the questions correctly.

i think the biggest problem in reading test is the pressure of time...increase the time from 60 mins to 75 mins to truly test our english skills...otherwise in 60 mins you are probably checking pressure of time and not english

-I’m an ielts first-taker and didn’t know how to start with my review. I got only 3 wks to prepare and with my hectic schedule, i didn’t have a chance to really sit and review.

I took the Computer-based ielts. Got the result after 6 days and my Ielts was a success!
My score:
Listening 8, reading 7, writing 6.5, speaking 7. Band score 7.

I used to get 6.5 in reading but after this video I got 8 thank you so much. I used to read whole passage and then awnser the question but, although I was a good reader and I knew lots of word I would have just forgotten the detail. I even finished it in 50 minutes !

So far, I have achieved 33 out of 40 marks in the reading module. However, my problem lies in the consistency. Sometimes i score 32,33 while sometimes i score just 20 or 21(depending on different tests). I hope this video will help me out!

Thank you Chris, nice lesson....I usually do reading test in under examination conditions only ...my average score is between 34 to 36... today i learn something new in this lesson and will practice and follow that to check whether there is any improvement or not in my scores - "In Matching Heading questions - giving our own headings first after reading paragraphs"..

hello Chris, i am here to share my honest and positive review here, i have following you even when i wasnt sure to take my IELTS Exam, and since I have finally decided to take one, i must commit, you have helped me a lot throughout my journey, and that match the heading thing is no more difficult for me. i use to get 4 out of 6, now i am sure that this questions is no more a tough task for me. I still face problems with MCQS AND YES NO NOTGIVEN. KINDLY UPLOAD SOME SHORT COURSES ON these types of tasks, so that i can fully comprehend my exam type of questions.
