I'm playing PvZ 2 on the iPad, but it's also available for Android. This series will include no cheating or hacks. yeah the animation just looks stupid, they should have just kept the original one as this new one looks more like a volley fire deal not a burst fire.

Tip: always have spear-mint in plant your defenses for spike rock, and then shovel them for half their sun

Sadly, it seems as if they’ve been replaced by banana launcher and gloom vine respectively. RIP to ice shroom too, got replaced by ice bloom.

You were actually able to get it but the plant was a sun with no texture, didnt shoot, and do much.

If this thing can plant food itself , then imagine a strategy combine with a tile turnip up in arena . oh man , that could be making some broken combos .

you should test/ pay attention to if/when the peas self-administer plantfoods, whether the vines on top of them also get plantfooded.

Hey Zack here’s a tip that will help you:
If you put Pea Vine under Torchwood then the Pea Vine will shoot fiery peas
He already knows that

Oh and then you could put plant food upgraded Gatling pea behind the torch wood and shoot 6 peas at once
What you're finding on the wiki isn't damage per second, its damage per pea. Max level pea pod stacked five times is higher dps than max level mega gatling pea (excluding auto plant food).

I love that they brought back an original plant from the first game!
Normally it shoots 4 peas, and when you plant food it it shoots 5 peas. It also has a chance to randomly plant food itself wich will also increase the number of peas to 5. You can also see on its helmet, if it has 1 star its shooting 4 peas and if it has 3 stars, its shooting out 5 peas.

Interesting...so when I read the Almanac info, I thought they basically took the Chance to Boost Mastery ability and applied it to lvl 1 Mega Gatling Pea, but that's clearly not the case, as the Chance to Plant Food special acts differently, since it looks like non-mastered Mega Gatling Pea never triggers his Plant Food ability upon planting 🤔
The shooting animation is a bit odd, since it seems like he shoots two/three peas instead of four/five, but maybe I'm missing something.
As far as comparing him with Pea Pod and Threepeater especially, I don't think I'll be replacing those plants anytime soon, since they're significantly better in my case (lvl 10 and 16, respectively), but I'll definitely try to get him to at least lvl 4. Maybe if I have a lot of sun in the pre-plant phase and/or can constantly use a bunch of Power Tiles, then it might make sense to use him instead, but as of right now, the only really intriguing thing about him is the chance to randomly activate his Plant Food ability 🤷
Also - 21:41 - 21:59 - pretty sure Levitater would have to be purchasable through the Early Unlock Bundle for you to try it out via the Rent A Plant feature.

They finally did it... They added the Gatling pea in the game, if only 9 year old me could see this
They still have some og plants left to put in pvz2 like the mushroom plant that shoots a lot of bubbles and the cat that shoots on the lilypad

one thing i think is just insane about him is that he can take out 2 bucketheads with the his plant food, 2! if you plant food any other pea they can only take out one but with a few exceptions pea pod etc, so hes basically more efficient than going with like double rows setups in arena because when you get the tile turnips down he takes up one less row for the power of 2 rows. also if possible with lots of suns having 2+ rows is busted. insane how one pea mint will usually activate all of gatlings on the field. and immediately start shooting 5 peas instead. amazing plant will use most of the time for sure
4 peas to start, chance to randomly plant food, upgrades from 1 star to 3 stars when plant food hits, shoots 5 peas per shot after that. Awesome plant
Mage Gatling Pea can have a chance to plant food himself and can shoot 1 more pea after plant food (5 per max) upgrading him allows him to do more damage and more chances to plant food
Once it gets plant fooded (it doesn’t matter how) you can see the one star on it’s helmet change to three stars and the four peas it shoots change to five

It's cool that they brought it back from PvZ 1, but if there's one change they should consider doing is the sound it makes when shooting. That sound is the plant food effect so it can be annoying hearing it when it's shooting normally...
Not at all. I use hear it everytime.
If you look closely on the shooting animation of mega Gatling pea you can see the 4 barrels popping in and out.

Gatling pea's addition is pretty nice, as well as pumpkin's addition, we got a few plants from pvz1 left, ice shroom, doom shroom kinda cuz of the balloon flower, scaredy shroom, sea shroom, cob cannon, plantern(does it make sense to add plantern?) And also coffee bean, and umbrella leaf and cattail(maybe it'll be different than the homing thistle)

When the Gatling pea gets the random/manual plant food, it will receive some mechanical & visual changes
The helmets represent the Gatling pea going from Private to Sergeant after the plant food
& when firing, you can see he has 4 barrels in his mouth, but after a plant food, he has 5, which also makes him shoot 5 peas instead of 4
even tho am happy that they finally added this plan
i hope they make the animation as fluent and smooth as the original Gatling pea
the one in the dev build looks like garbage
