I just found out your channel, congrats for all your covers especially Opeth one's !! Can you share please the amp settings for this perfect guitar tone during the last solos, it's incredible ?!! 🙂
Thanks a lot! Sorry for the late reply. I mainly used Guitar Rig 6 with a preset called "Ultra Heavy" and tweaked the setting to achieve the tone. To get this tone in your amp I would advice you to start with about an 8 on overdrive and then move the mid knob to around a 6. If you have a presence knob you should probably have it at zero (unless it sounds too dead). And you should balance your treble knob to the point where if you play a high note on the first 3 strings you don't hear a clear distortion. If lowering the treble knob is not enough or if it is killing the tone too much then you begin to lower the overdrive knob to a point you don't clearly hear the notes getting distorted. I think the key is to use as much distortion as possible but you increase the mid knob and decrease the treble knob to make it sound like it's clean. And the amount of bass depends a lot on the mixing of the song, if you are playing alone you will probably need more bass to make it sound strong, but if you have all the instruments it will depend a lot on that. Another vital point to the tone is the delay which is set to 1/4 notes. If you want more specific details you can send me an email to oscarpobletemusic@gmail.com and I can send you screenshots of the softwares I used. I hope this helps! Cheers and thanks for listening!
@@OscarPoblete Thanks a lot for this very complete answer ! I will try with this settings. I'm a little bit obsess with Opeth's guitar tone, heavy or smooth they are all so beautiful... Thanks again 🙂

Same, I used to be very obsessed with the lead guitar tone in "For Absent Friends". You are welcome, glad that I could help!
