Purchased a new 2023 SEL Premium Arteon in King's Red Metallic a few weeks ago. I"ve been a long time VW fan beginning many, many years ago with a 1961 Beetle and including various rabbits and GTI's along the way. Most recently a MK7 GTI Autobahn that has only about 46K miles on the clock. When I considered trading it for the Arteon it felt like it would be like abandoning a family pet. So with that in mind, I added the Arteon to the family garage. My GTI has been feeling a bit ignored but my college student daughter will be coming to its rescue in coming months.
The inclusion of the Golf R engine and the 7 speed DCT were the features I had been waiting for. It's everything I'd hoped for and more. Smooth, fast, gorgeous, and comfortable. And though I'm sad to see it disappear from the US market, it makes me even happier that I acquired one.

I got mine at 9k off for a 23 R-Line SEL and I love it, the looks are great, super smooth driving, luxurious experience without paying the premium price compared to Audi. The performance is great, personally waiting for Unitronics to drop the ECU TCU tunes for it, after that it should be a beast

There is no upgrade on the sunroof, that is the only one available on the Arteon. It's "panoramic", but not really.
Also, 2022+ Arteon with the 7DSG has the EA888 Evo4, not Gen3.

Yup. Detuned Mk8 golf r engine and it has the 7 dsg from mk7.5 golf r

Budget A7 in terms of ride quality and luxury features with S7 performance. Been eyeing this for awhile, likely to pick one up in the next couple months! Local to me I'm seeing dealer discounts as deep as $9K!

But ID is electric. If you live in place where there are no stations it wont get you too far.. Also visually Arteon is much more impressive in my opinion.
