Legendary band, been around for quite a while. Fantastic musicians!
The band name is pronounced GaCHA (almost like gotcha but dropping the T) Ric Spin. Pink haired Angie (Angelina) is the third front woman - singer, and almost a ringer for the first one (Takae) Armmy (Ahmee) had golden blond hair and passed away after some undisclosed illness. Hana still does drums, but not as much since they brought in Yuri. But has always been a multi-instrumentalist; and she is frankly amazing! The Bassist is "F-Chopper Koga" or Koga for short, and the lead guitar is Tomo-Zo... Rounding out the members is Oreo Reona on Keyboards, although Angie, Hana, and Tomo-Zo all can and do play. These ladies are high energy, or as I've described them in the past as Energy Personified! I don't know if this was the case for this video, but Yuri had a child shortly after joining the band and went on maternity leave...
Thanks for spreading the GS love
Yes as others have said Yuri is just on a brake to have her baby .Hugely underrated band with the best live stage show going .This with Angie in front is like GS with there first singer that passed away the new album gold dash is superb and well worth getting, official download is only £7 .One of the bands if they ever come to the UK i would be there at the front .Sub to there YT for a weekly always entertaining video . more GS please
You're absolutely right this band is something of a lost gem. They're my favourite band but so often get overlooked by overseas audiences. Probably due to some extent to their difficulty to categorise in terms of genre and not having a clearly identifiable 'gimmick'. Such a shame because their song-writing skills are sublime and every member is an absolute monster at what they do, without ever being self-indulgent - the focus is always on the track and what it needs rather than what they can do to show off their chops.
Yes Hana is back on drums here as Yuri is currently on maternity leave, she's expecting in the next month or so, so lets all wish her and her family a safe delivery and a healthy baby! For their recent shows they've had a guy called Levin from La'cryma Christi on drums although Hana's still been jumping behind the kit for a few tracks most shows. Tamu Murata from Nemophila drummed for them at the all female Naon no Yaon festival a month or so back.
If you're interested in the band it's well worth keeping an eye on their ガチャっとTV (Gachatto TV) channel. Besides their MV's they post a video every week which varies between silly little songs, funny videos like them playing kids instruments, concert digests, gear videos, or just chatting about things. This video from a few weeks ago has a moment where Hana fell off the back of the stage at a gig: ua-cam.com/video/wYlNuVwByMo/v-deo.html
At least it doesn't look like she fell very far or hard... Probably more embarrassing than anything lol
@@BestFriendsReact Yes for sure, the title of that video translates as "A member disappeared from the stage" - I don't think they'd be making such light of it if it was any worse than a slightly bruised ego!
Awesome funky synth jazz.
Glad you guys seem to have liked this one. It's not a revolutionary change or anything, but a nice, slick, engergy-filled song. Nice performances by em all. Angie seems more confident and the longer-term members more confident in her. Hoping Yuri comes back - she's a blast.
I personally like Hana being on the drums better than her being up front... I like Angie and I think she does a great job as a solo front woman... Regardless I love the band and glad to see them everytime
Ov Sulfur and the song Obvilion. It has Tim Lambesis from AILD. The band literally unleashes hell in this song. Amazing new Deathcore band! Also Angelmaker and the song Blood for Blood. Literally brutal!!!!🤘🏻😈🤘🏻
Unfortunately GS doesn't get the recognition a lot of other Japanese bands get. But they have been killing it since 2009, in whatever incarnation they decide to show up.
And Angie (always had pink hair, maybe it had a red touch lol ) is just growing into her role as a driving force in GS. She's only 19 after all. Can't wait to see, what's next.
BTW: Shoutout for your mention of Primus! Yay.
You also are one of the few who got the "Bitch"- moment :)
Cheers
Noice reaction guys!
Yuri didn't left the band, she's having a baby so Hana just got back on drums for Yuri’s little break from the band.
You seem to know Gacharic Spin quite well but did you hear their songs "Kishikaisei Forever" (from their previous album) and the instrumental "Nicoline Boshi no Tsuukin Rush"? If not, please check them out for your reaction video
Thank you

Yuri, not Yuki, but otherwise correct, she's on maternity leave.
This weekend's gig will be the last gig, where Levin (drummer from la'cryma christi) is supporting.
@@amiwolf8117 you’re right sorry. My brain was writing Yuri but my fingers messed up 😅
I’m correcting my comment. Thank you 🙏🏻
I like Hana being behind the drums, that's where she shines most imo... Angie is a strong enough front woman solo... Regardless they are awesome
Great basist in here.!
Fantastic band! 👍👍👍
Agreed

Thank you so much.😆🔥
Just dropping a heads up here that they just dropped a new MV for their track "I Wish I". Well worth taking a look at!
Yes! I'm super excited to watch it
100% fun factor
Wow...one third of an origin story...
In my top 5 japanese bands. Kudos for remembering Angelina 1/3 nickname but do you know why she's called "1/3"? Because she's actually 1/3 japanese, 1/3 portuguese and 1/3 indonesian (I'm not totally sure for that last 1/3 though)
Spanish, Filipino, Japanese mix
@@muto4055 Yes, I had a huge doubt about the Indonesian 1/3 and you're right its actually Filipino. Still have a small doubt between Spanish and Portuguese. Anyway, what a lovely and energetic person.
@@realdocloco Maybe was from Portugal but had a Spanish citizenship?
Hi! Can you also react to SB19? They are from the Philippines. They are the first Filipino and Southeast Asian to be nominated on BBMA. They just uploaded their latest MV entitled WHAT❓ last March. the leader wrote, compose and co-produce the song. the youngest is the creative director and the Main Vocalist choreographed the song too :)
Fun fact: according to a friend of the production they have limited budget for this MV. The production is All Filipino. The scene on desert is actually Lahar , volcanic mudflow and not sand. All of it was shot Here in the Philippines.
If you want to know their vocal skills try watching their Live performance of their ballad Song Tilaluha on TM Pusuan
One of the kpop groups from Indonesia.
@@muto4055 what?
@@yelnase8863 sorry, a kpop group from Philippine😓
@@muto4055 they are ppop not kpop :)
Love this band! You are right about Angie and stabbing, her eyes scream "Crazy" I would keep my back to a wall if I was in a room with her.... just sayin. F Chopper Koga, my favorite bassist!! Thank you for reacting to this video.
Angie is the real life version of psycho Yuno from anime Mirai Nikki lol
I hear a lot of Chick Corea influence. That heavy funk and keyboard solos, so much Corea.
Unlistenable band.
To each is own, I love this band
