      Amen to that. A lot of these stories have not changed since Dan Schneider was exposed for traumatizing the Nickelodeon child stars, and that's why I pray things go further. I'm not saying everybody need to be on red alert all the time, just pay attention to certain things and keep the train moving. Because like Kenan said, it was always meant to be a safe place for kids to have fun and make memories

      I like this comment. A lot of times people end up sounding insensitive for example (Ned’s Declassified cast). It could be true that some of the actors didn’t see anything. They were kids so they could’ve been complicit. Even if he just wants to disassociate himself he also didn’t align or support Dan and his actions.

    • @Andrew-Collet
      @Andrew-Collet 10 місяців тому +15

      @@doxoxo779 Very backwards way of thinking. Alexa Nikolas had a terrible experience of her own with Dan and her feelings are valid. No argument there. But then she's almost had some blind rage in her "reporting" on her channel and continuously blasting everyone as being complicit. Her experience is her own but also separate from what happened on other shows. It's also very possible Dan chose who to behave with in a select way and other actors really did not see that kind of behavior.

    I don't believe I have ever seen another successful former child actor handle such a sensitive issue with such tact, poise, and candor. No attacks. No denials. The only other former Nick star to come close would be Jennette McCurdy. She tackled her experience with the same, but obviously had a very different experience from Kenan. Josh Peck was quick to jump to attacks, until recently. The cast of Boy Meets World who have a podcast, only recently expressed sorrow about support for Brian Peck. - How convenient. Most of these former child stars have avoided the conversation. Kudos to K.T.

    I pray for the soul of Dan Schneider. As a mental health practitioner, what he has done throughout the years as a top executive for kids television was major. He has done a lot of damage to many people on various levels. The caveat is their going to be more feeling empowered to come forward. Truthfully, he definitely needs to be remorseful and come clean about his actions. These individuals have been traumatized by the extent of his misdeeds. Frankly, many may or is currently receiving mental health treatment as result of those misdeeds under his leadership. Additionally, I believe that he needs to be prepared for the legal ramifications in adjacent to his now tarnished career. The bible says you reap what you sow. Finally, I will say that as a leader of any organization you must be able to lead people effectively to point where you're not putting them, yourself or the organization under scrutiny.

    Seeing Dan publicly address this with a level of accountability and remorse shows some growth on his part and it seems like he is genuinely attempting to make amends at least in the way he is treating colleagues moving forward. This says a lot about his character currently because many other influential people could have just tried to brush these serious allegations off and he is actually facing them head on with some level of remorse for the way he behaved in the past. I think this speaks positively about his potential to improve and treat people better in the future. Only time will tell whether this is actually the case but I prefer to focus on a person’s potential to learn from their mistakes and improve rather than discard/cancel them once they have made a mistake when possible (in certain cases that is just not possible and the person is just not fit to be living free in society). I also really appreciated Keenans comments about the documentary. He managed to stay true to his personal experience while also showing genuine care, empathy and understanding towards other actors who had totally different experiences. I’m glad I watched this video. Thank you for sharing it!

      A truly sincere and regretful person would have apologized years and years ago and not wait until the stories are made public and you’re busted.

    Kenan still seems like a real person and a good dude. I always thought he was hilarious even when we were kids and I watched him on Nickelodeon. Him and Kel were in so many hilarious kids stuff back then that I watched. I actually think it's somewhat sad that he hasn't done more. He should have been more than the guy that was on SNL for over 20 years. He should be a more prominent comedian. Unfortunately after Rocky and Bullwinkle Hollywood never gave him another chance to do something that was more relevant for him as a comedian.
    It's good at least he still seems real unlike a lot of other people that give these interviews.
