    Beautiful Locs CeCe!!!!! You can also repair the knot in your loc. Taking your loc tool and puncturing the knot and feeding your loc into the knot to close the knot. Just like you retie tour new growth, it's the same concept with repairing the knots in your locs.

    14:37 I don't have a knot but I have some thick ends. They tend to get stuck when I'm retightening. So what I do is, I change the tool when I'm working on those locs. I use a latch hook for those specific locs. And as you do, I hide the end inside the hook. It passes through smoothly without any thug

      GREAT LOC’S!
      I ordered a 0.35mm crochet hook online and it took a week to arrive. That is the size that you will need to use to reattach your “Sister loc”.
      To successfully reattach be sure open the attachment loc ends about a 1/2” and crochet them together while you are rotating them as tightly as possible. You will feel the firmness as you are crocheting them together. Give the crochet area a tug so you will have confidence that the bond is secure. Palm rolling perfects the symmetry of the look of the loc.🎉
      I have a cat that loves to ambush me and run off after breaking one of my loc’s! I keep my loc’s trimmed to waist length to stop that issue! Lol! ✨🐈‍⬛✨

    Girl your hair is so lovely ❤! I have struggle edges was using the old g oils but not having luck at all. So decided to do something kind of controversial...lol. Ill check back in with you in a few months and let you know how it went. Sometimes you gotta spend a little money and do things differently to get different results. But your edges look goodt and at least you can pull it up in a ponytail...with what Im working with...😂 Its a no. But I pray 🙏🏽 what Im trying is going to get my hairline back to some type of healthy state so I can add more locs! 16-months microlocd!

      That's terrible, because I know how hard and long it can take to find a new stylist especially with sisterlocks. I don't know where you live, but here, the sisterlock consultant community is small. If you have found a way to self maintain that is still something to celebrate! 👏🏿 as a self retier, it's not easy.

    Hi CeCe, I have been following your journey for a very long time and your hair is sooooo beautiful. How do you keep your hair from frizzing? I’m two years and one month in with my locs and I love them but ha little frizz going on.

      Thank you ❤️ and I appreciate your support that's amazing thank you for that as well! Now about the frizz, honestly I don't know. Once I colored my sisterlocks the frizz seemed to go down. I will add mine never seen terribly Frizzy to me down my loc shaft but I hated it at my scalp. When I started self-reties that seemed to help it. I'm no professional though and I use product to self-retie my consultant only used water.

      😆 🤣 😂 they not "edging" huh! I love yall so much! I use "EBIN BRAID FORMULA LOCK'N SHINE EXTREME HOLD" on my edges. Now it's thick and shiny when you first apply it but it drys mate in a matter of moments. BE WARNED ⚠️ 🤣 it can look ashy or turn white, after prolonged use/wear/ build-up I just apply my temple oil on top and that helps it.

    At what stage in your journey did you start to do your own re-ties??? Did your locticians help yo teach you how to do the rotation specific to your hair installation? Also, are all 4 rotations all started from the same point as a rule by qualified sisterlocs locticians? Thanying you in advance, hoping you can answer🥰🥰🥰

    • @CimplyCeCe
      @CimplyCeCe  11 місяців тому

      I started self-reties after about 1 1/2 years. My sisterlock consultant told me I was on a 4 point rotation. But did not teach me or demonstrate how to do it or anything. After self-reties for the first time I went and saw her and had her look at what I had done. I don't know if all rotations start at the same point. I think where you want your rotation to end and how you know where to start. I hope that makes sense.

    Hi CeCe, new but not new-new to your channel. I’ve watched a few of your videos and love your content! Your loc journey has really blossomed 🦋. I’m currently in the “teen stage” w a lot of budding after 14 months loc’d (micro). I have fine, soft hair and it’s always had the natural loose curl texture, with length too! My question is this.. how long did it take for your locs to fully mature? Each retie, I notice the locs shrink and a have some slippage around the 6 week after my retina. I’m braiding/banding every shampoo (1X week). Your thoughts/suggestions are appreciated. Currently I have this love/hate relationship with my locs and this journey is definitely not for the weak!😜
    I’m hopeful and going through a lot of emotions about my hair. I never imagined getting locs would bring me to so many emotions. Blessings ✨

    • @CimplyCeCe
      @CimplyCeCe  11 місяців тому

      Thank you! I'm no expert but it sounds like your natural hair texture may be the cause of the slippage. Since it's a "loose curly texture" as you described. My natural hair texture is fine so I had to braid and band for over a year and was told it would take a year and a half for my sisterlocs to fully loc/ mature. Sorry I can't remember when she finally told me I didn't have to anymore, but it was over a year. When I colored my sisterlocks for the first time, I had to braid and band once again because the color changed my texture and I started to experience slippage again. So be patient it will fully loc and mature in time.

      First I thank you so very much for the compliment! I would say absolutely, give your locs a little bit more time to mature some of the frizz will be tamed as they start to loc more. This was true for me, I also use a locking paste, that I think helps with the frizz as well. And to keep my locs as straight as they were in this video, I literally spray them with water and kind of smooth them out so that they can be as straight as possible because they always catch texture from when I sleep.
