    Your Locs are gorgeous and KeKe J 🤗…I’m in ❤ with your grid on point, crispy lines/parts ☺️. I will be 3 months in my braidloc journey 7/2 and ❤❤❤ it.. I researched 3yrs and decided braids due to low maintenance (I thought) the unraveling is a headache and solved by interlocking 😉 (YT 101) and ready to embark on retie my own in September due scheduled apt for July..anyways I want to Thk u for your set up I got (5) prong mirror 🪞 and stand up 🪞, work area and ready 🤗. Only thing I regret is not locking sooner 🤦🏾‍♀️ 7yrs loose natural jus now started on journey; oh well neva too late to start 🤷🏾‍♀️ Enjoy your journey 🥰

    Girl im with you on the thin edges...mine looks just like yours. Im using Bask and Lather seems like its working. Im trying to get that one past my ear like you have so that at least when I wear a ponytail it looks better. But my edges and hairline is a struggle! Hopefully soon! 🙏🏽 And your hair is so fire 🔥! Love it

    I completely unlocked my edges and maintain them now through braiding once a week. I also texlax them to loosen the curls a bit. I texlax because the dryness would tangle my hair and cause breakage. Locs broke my edges. Now nobody knows they are not locked, and i can better manage them. They grew so much and are healthy compared to before

      Hearing this gives me confidence when it comes to the new hair that's not currently locked on my hairline. I'll be doing my retie soon and I'm nervous and excited to start new Locs. This let's me know that if I'm unsuccessful with Interlocking them, I can get away with braiding it. Thank you for this tip! ❤️🙏🏿

    you get knots from not pulling your last rotation all the way through before starting a new one if that makes sense, i had to learn that the hard way and make sure i pull my loc through the root entirely before i start new rotation. hope this helped :)

    • @timaresshearns2933
      @timaresshearns2933 9 місяців тому

      and sometimes you might get puffy bulge like knots on your locs after retying and i’ve learned that those come from the shed hairs from the root getting tangled up and intertwined in between retie sessions, so those are more normal and i just deal with them

    Hi im just finding your page today i have a question did the installation of your sister locks cause your edges to thin out or did you start with hair and edges? New sub btw 😊

    • @CimplyCeCe
      @CimplyCeCe  Рік тому +2

      No, my edges where damaged before my install.

    I think you just inspired me to do my hairline. Because of the grays it always looks so raggedy but I’m going to try to retie just the front

    Hey there, you mentioned a slick spot on your edges. Did the DE oil help hair grow in any other slick spots? I have an area like that too😢 I'm only 7 mos into my journey and have a ton of fuzziness too.

    • @CimplyCeCe
      @CimplyCeCe  9 місяців тому +2

      No not where it was slick, but everywhere else it seems to be thickening the fine hair up. My hairline is still fine but not as see-through.

    I meant to ask about the moisturizer instead of conditioner. what moisturizer you use or what's best for sisterlocks?

    • @CimplyCeCe
      @CimplyCeCe  8 місяців тому

      I don't use any moisturizers really, sometimes a moisture mist I get from Camille Rose called "Honey Dew". I don't know if that's best but I don't want build up so I like to use lite products. Sisterlocks don't really need anything but water.

    You are never supposed to twist your sisterlocks. You are going to start experiencing hair loss, especially around the edges and crown of your hair. Just FYI

    • @CimplyCeCe
      @CimplyCeCe  10 місяців тому +1

      Why does that cause hair loss, if you don't mind me asking.

    • @LL-os1fk
      @LL-os1fk 9 місяців тому

      This isn't true. There is a loctician on Instagram that only palm rolls her clients. They have gorgeous locs. She even rolls to the left.

    You retwist your hair too tight that's why it getting thinner.
