Sony 7000 Talk: Apple CarPlay & Android Auto Connectivity

In this "Sony 7000 Talk" we explain how important it is to use a functioning factory charging & data cable with your Sony 7000 to ensure solid connectivity to Apple CarPlay & Android Auto on your 1999-2020 Harley-Davidson Touring motorcycle.
Also, it's our recommendation to only use the USB extension cable with USB2 (for flash drives and firmware updates) and only use a factory charging/data cable with USB1 to make the connection to Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

I bought one for my road glide 2018 but the screen is hard to look when it is sunny. I had hard time to see Google map with android auto

Mine says my bike is in motion. So it won't connect could it also be the cord?

It seems every time I hit a sudden bump in the road the Sony 7000 disengages. I have to unplug from my phone and reset. Others claim this same problem Is there a fix to this?

Do you mean it disengages from Apple CarPlay or Android Auto?

My sony 7000 on my 15 RGS after 3 months now its always beeping loud saying (operation not allowed """)
I dont have any idea how to fix that or why its doing tht but it's freaking annoying
, correction I believe it says operation not possible , while connected to Bluetooth on my Android phone playing Pandora

Hmm, have you tried unpairing the bluetooth connection (removing the pairing from both devices) and then re-pair the head unit with your phone? Sometimes saves bluetooth connections can act a little strange and need to be re-paired.

My bike was at the dealership for a month , clutch issues, when i got it back , i notice the problem, they have no idea how it happened and they wont fix it , without charging me , I'll play with it this weekend to give a good look at
