I bought a 2003 basic model for my teenage daughter in 2019 for less than the price of 4 tyres to a Tesla Model 3. Very low milage (96000 km) and cheap to run. She loves it. As Hammond says: "It will probably be very reliable" - that is so true. No issues so far. The milages today says 125.000 km. Only repair was a set of new brake discs in front. I have noticed a little corrosion on the driverhand side next to the frontdoor - an easy fix at home.
Hardly. It's a basic car with not very advanced electronics. Maybe in 2001, this was a clever car, but by today's standards, it's about as technical as a ham sandwich.
Chris Dawson Yeah. But Suzuki still uses that kind of visco-4wd in the current (3rd gen) swift 4x4. It's quite effective on slippery grounds like snow, rain, mud, rubble or grass. I know, I have a '99 Justy (which is a 1rst gen Swift with 4wd).
I really like these YRV's. They even came with the most powerful 1.3 engine in the world at the time, with 130BHP from a turbo.
What about Storia RS Euro k3ve2 ?.. are these more better then yrv ?
When Hammond is standing next to this car, it suddenly doesn't seem that small.

So what did I learn from this review, only one thing his ego is bigger than the car.
Hamster is a little bit paranoia! The car is very niec for that time! Look at Fiesta in 2000....that idiot rat it has no perspective!
".......too clever ........" sounds like an expensive , brain scratcher if this get out of sink & need the techs to get the " machinery " on to it .
