I'm pretty sure the bugs flying around when Deskari isn't present is a bug. I failed in my first attempt to defeat him, so I had to reload. I am bad at games.
The aeon path is one of the most rewarding - providing you stay true to aeon (which is so meh lawful, not always good)... but then you can change some of the timeline.
It is rewarding. You are actually correcting things that went terribly wrong. And you when judging, you can always use the intermediate option. You don't have to punish people for every small offence.
@@Nikioko Still some choices will bait you into a trap though. That will state that not all situations has a "intermediate" option. Hence the game loading screen warns: "You can't save everyone."
What I'm the most curious about with these trips to the past, is what happens to our character when he comes to a new timeline. Does our Aeon mirror tell us to go to a place to get synchronization with our returning self to ensure we go back, and have the mental knowledge of the previous timeline to ensure a paradox doesn't happen with our character not going to the past as he sees no issue?
After redeeming Staunton, you can ask Irabeth and a few others what happened in regards to the siege of Drezen and they describe how you lifted a decades-long siege instead of capturing the city. That said, Arueshalae, being a companion, recalls both timelines simultaneously.
Aeon gets to do so many awesome things, but I really hate to play lawful characters. It's really a shame. Still nice to see some of the things you can do in videos like this one :)
@@Cruiser_TV Lmao stop simping for owlcat. I have an i7 7700k and a gtx 1080, 16gigs of ram. I blow the recommended specs out of the water, even though the hardware is somewhat older. It's inexcusable how shitty the performance on this game is.
@@sponsje Do you even know what "simping" means? I haven't experienced single hiccup for over 330h I've already put into the game with all settings on max on my 1080 Ti so please, shut it xD
@@Cruiser_TV You not having performance issues doesn't mean there aren't any. I have a 2080ti and act 4 was dropping consistently into the 40s or lower depending on what was happening. There are 100% poorly optimized portions of the game.
@@CaptnKrksNippls I got that with a 1080@4k, there is just a single option to disable in graphics and it's fairly good, just look for it, it's a on/off toggle (I don't know the english name, my game's text is not in english)
I shot a midnight bolt at Deskari, but he didn't drop a crystal. This should be the way to get the sixth crystal as an Aeon. And if you save her from been killed, Xelliren will appear in Iz instead.
Aeon logic: Iomedae setting down wardstones to prevent the Worldwound from expanding -- Unlawful Abomination!! Traveling back in time and saving Terendelev -- Just doing my job.
As I understand it, you travel back in time to save Terandelev because it’s Demon Lord who killed her - a being that has no rights to be on Material Plane (by aeon laws).
Except it's not "Aeon laws" it's the cosmic order. Logic dictates if demons/demon lords were supposed to be on Golarion they would have a natural way to get there & not need to rely on something like the worldwound

You might've become a "Renegade" Aeon. Ask the mirror what it thinks of you. Only "True" Aeons who abide by the LAAAAW and nothing else can save Terendelev.
Did changing the past give you mythic rank 9? If not, when did you receive it? I am trying to understand if, as a renegade Aeon I can reach 9/10th rank.
@@lDaniyarl It;s either bugged or intended. The bug definitely is the fact that renegade Aeon doesn't get objective to talk to the mirror after failing to change Kenabres past. However considering that you get mythic level 9 after fighting Deskari here, which renegades obviously do not get to do, and not when talking to the mirror, I'd assume that renegades are locked to mythic level 8. Which in turn makes me wonder since renegades are supposed to be able to achieve "secret" ending and it supposedly requires mythic 10, does it mean that renegade must become a Devil in order to do so.
No, this is in Act 5 (after the Abyss). The portal at the start is a rift that only Aeons can see/interact with and is used to travel back in time. Similar portals appear throughout the mythic path.

The look at Terendelev with the eyes of the aeon dialogue did not appear in my playthrough so i could only reach aeon mythic level 8 and no more.
@@clintwestwood1773 What is the mirror Aeon's opinion of you? It might be that you're a "Renegade" Aeon and are thus locked out of saving Terendelev. Are you certain you cannot proceed with the other dialogue options to advance the quest in some way?
@@_solaris_4057 That means either you run at 720p or have low standard. I don't play games with less than 60fps. Even 3080RTX can't run this at 60fps if you are in Drezen or Abyss. That's the fact.
@@JoonKimDMD I just got through a 160 hour playthrough of the game and never had any lag issues. Running an I9 9900k, 32gb of RAM and an RTX 3080 TI. Also running at 5120*1440 on an G9 Odyssey, 0 lag.
@@_solaris_4057 My PC is 10 years old (AMD FX 8350), but I upgraded to a newer graphics adapter (GTX 1070 TI), and the game runs smoothly with 3840x2160. I have bigger issues with BG3.
The Aeon theme is an absolute masterpiece. You literally feel like the overseer of the great order of the multiverse.
The best theme in my opinion.
Now I want to replay with Aeon...

A lil late, but he does drop a crystal. The crysal just happens to be the Purple dagger that you destroy going the Aeon route

It's technically a second violation of the cosmic order (the wardstones) to mitigate an earlier one (the Worldwound).
I couldn't do any of this as it seems I've been a "rebel" Aeon and don't know how to fix it. Terendelev didn't believe me when I said I was an Aeon :(
This means that you are not a "True" Aeon. It is too late in the game to change, but all the same... you'll have a different ending than I did.
ToyBox can change regenage points if you want to try or correct some of the mistakes :)
Ah yes a kindred spirit who clearly has the same FPS issues I have in this game. Especially chapter 4 onwards. Great game though.
The Abyss itself was a lag-fest. No wonder the demons wanted to get out so badly.

I can't recall exactly when rank 9 was, but rank 10 was just before the ending itself, so I wouldn't be concerned about it.

This happens after you choose to remain an Aeon. As such, you cannot save Terendelev and become a Gold Dragon.

You weakened Deskari enough that either you or she was enough to drive him off, but she was too wounded to help with actually retaking the city.
