Beat street breakdown
That last verse is Some of the most real lyrics i ever heard✌🏻✌🏻
Doesn’t matter if it’s old school, new school or whatever. Lyrically, this was one of the greatest expressions of social injustice in all of music...and just as relevant today.
old school hip hop is always the best I want a lot more storytellers 80's and 90's then there are today so many different styles and there are today
Tony Wright 100% agreed
The song came out in 1982. Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five were the first hip hop group inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
They never saw it before it happened, it was happening then too. This song don't predict the future, it shows how nothing has changed.
Agreed 💯🎯
You guys so right, Hip Hop changed so much. The Lyrics back that days really had it !!
much appreciate you leaving that comment
Led Zeppelin got their message across and it was fun to watch too!!
That last verse is Some of the most real lyrics i ever heard✌🏻✌🏻
I laughed when Scott said it is cheesy now, so true with many things even older movies. I enjoyed watching this reaction video, maybe you could do more of these sometime, they are fun to watch!
Storm, showing the young generation what real rap is 😂 and no F@ck bombs. 👏👍👏
10 OUTA 10....... FOR ETERNITY
That song is so nice with a real good setup. Very well produced song
Vildheten I agree 100% I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment I enjoyed reading it and I agree with you
Flashback!
🎯🎯💯💯
Great reaction..
Thank you so much 😀
Beat street breakdown
This rap benefits from better music over the new stuff, in my opinion.
Kojak and Welcome Back.Kotter come together. Something about a 🎥 shot on the street. No studio fluff. Will have ro show this to some of my middle aged former co-workers. Seeing those huge boom boxes brought back memories. Back then there was not as much Degradation of females and you could actually understand the lyrics. Thanks for the flashback
Fun fact you searched up people reacting to the message by flash and the fearus five
Big Dawg you're 100% correct
I had to take him to the old school, William 🫵⛈️🎯💯‼️
A steel city storm from Houston Texas I was born and raised in Gary I was 21 I have not had a chance to come back to Gary money-wise and I was just wondering is there anyway you could take a drive in Glen Park down 47th Place and 47th and Carolina I went to Pittman Square School I went to Bailey Junior High and Lew Wallace High School I am now 62 years old I would appreciate it if you could do that for me sometime and make a video of it I love what you doing so keep doing it thank you very much it's the only time I get to see the city that I used to love and I want to take you one more time God bless hope everything's good with your family
Better check yo self before you wreck yourself
Ha Ha
That police car must be chocka at the end!
That’s that old-school way of doing things it reminds me a growing up in Gary I’ve been jammed in a couple of those police cars like that too 😆
You guys look cute together. Storm you lost weight. Remember this song well. Why was their pants so tight? Mama Storm was snapping. Lol! love her comments. This is the first rap I purchased.
They got packed in the cop car like sardines.
yashua haggerty Yes they did LMAO
This rap benefits from better music over the new stuff, in my opinion.
WOW WHOA!
Grandmaster Flash produced the record, Melle Mel was the main rapper here
… 🤣🤣🤣… fun stuff
😁😜😂
Fun Times for sure
Love you cats

🫵⛈️💯😎⛈️‼️
WOW WHOA!
You picked the perfect song!!
I love this song takes me back to when I was young thank you for taking the time to leave your comment I really appreciate that I hope you are enjoying the channel and have subscribed
I remember people saying "fag" back in the 80s and early 90s wasn't near considered offensive as it is now. People use to say that loosely and daily at least where I'm from haha. Times have changed o well
The context they said it in was just real though, not attacking gay people really.
Grandmaster Flash was the dude wearing black.
Like the old rap. But ima heavy metal or nu metal they say. Deftones,KoRn etc.
You're somewhat right about the start of rap but truthfully rap started as party music. Conscious rap is the 2nd sub genre of rap than lyrical followed by gangster rap and so on and so on.
Tre Walters I agree with everything you just said 100% thank you for your comment I hope you subscribe so we can hear more comments from you much appreciated
I enjoyed this video. Even the rap was good , I like it really get the words too . Old rap the best , the new is shit . Even I can made sounds with my mouth, sorry that’s not music and all the new words are shameful and down grating to woman . Honey we left Gary because of the BAD couple police there who beat so bad , the doctor in ER put you in hospital. I had a friend from new paper came took pictures of you. The place on your body was bottom of feet that. Was not injured. Two police officers standing out side door . After that the friend had to leave town saying that he was not safe over the pictures. Well needless to say ....I was being followed by officers ever where . Time to leave MY town for the safe of my children.
I got some rap you may enjoy...send me your email..
Have you heard Sa Roc's Sharecroppers Daughter album.? Any song would be a great review, but there are videos for Forever, Goddess Gang, R(E)volition, Deliverance and Hand of God.
Thank you for taking the time to leave that comment I will be checking those out I love music I’ve never heard of them before
Did you ever do one on Georgia tap it was a bar on Georgia Street I know you were on Georgia and it's Georgia tab still there I lived on 42nd Street right near Georgia tap and I was just wondering

Good tune I know that one appreciate your comment I might have to do that one sometime
How about Rapper's Delight by the Sugar Hill Gang
I got it on the list soon, going to be doing some more more reaction videos soon Dama I appreciate your suggestion
Forget eminme try ra the rugged man gotta be dope
I hate when people put an emphasis on older hip hop having a message and don’t listen to anything current. The comments are filled with those people. Get a grip.
Do "white lines" by the same guys
Joseph Ramos That was my jam too 👈😎☝️
And survival 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
HOW ABOUT THEIR SONG...WHITE LINES
This was rap 101, before the words "hip hop" became the newer thing to rebrand it as. This was before the music was broken up into sub genres of rap and then had its name genre changed to hip hop.
Btw....that beat was a sample from "A Genius of Love" from the Tom Tom Club.
Speaking of the music style changing...
Gangster rap went down a bad road as time went on. It just became a very toxic misogynist, overtly violent genre that has spoon fed that attitude to many generations after.
I prefer rap music with a purpose over that garbage. And idk anyone who even likes the latest version of sub genre to come out of rap.....mumble rap. GARBAGE!!!!
To interrupt that last verse, one of the most important in rap history is a travesty. Can't believe you guys did that. Also those ridiculous hand signs, meaningless.
