Nice start Wade, lighting and sound is sharp and clear, nice quiet mood music, and the animations and sceneries to support your descriptions are very good. It will be fun to see your progression in your presentations. Looking forward to it. Great first video in your series, you did your homework.

Just tried Port Charlotte 10 for the first time. Agree with the honeyed notes you mentioned. The peat is obvious but not obscuring the tropical fruit sweetness, marmalade character.

This & Ledaig 10 are my 2 go to Islay whiskies for my palate, really great offerings outside of the Laphroaig & Ardbeg fan club.

It's not Islay peat. The peat used on PC10 is "highland" peat, harvested in Aberdeenshire and shipped across the country to make the PC10. In my estimation, this makes it far better than the TALLL kids.

I don't think Bruichladdich has malting/peating facilities (yet), so it is not the Highlands "peat" that gets shipped to Islay, but rather the peated "malted barley" (using Highlands peat, of course). Please correct me if I'm wrong.

PC10 is a great drink i really enjoy the flavors but I was expecting a bit more peat from it tho.

You can definitely step it up into the Octomore range from Bruichladdich if you want more peat!

Ice is an ok idea for heavily peated whiskey for novices or new to peated whiskey drinkers.
But one big round ice or one big rock is better. Doesn’t melt as quick as many smaller cubes ( too much water).
The first taste is close to straight , but as the ice slowly melts and hence adds a little water the nose and taste develop and change.
Those drinkers can find out how much water to add etc.
But as an experienced whiskey drinker now, it is easier to appreciate the whiskey without ice. You will enjoy it more. Try adding a little water. Maybe half teaspoon or quarter at a time. Crep it up to your taste.
Help the whiskey develop and enjoy
