I love that Snappy Claus is so hip. I always hope you talk about the cards I want buffed because Brode watches every Snapcast. And thank you for all the great casts this year! Please make next year even better!!!
Even if they just added an always reveals last to Elektra for the assassin kind of effect and to make it more likely to hit a card or take out a final turn Deadpool or Kitty. It would be great to see Quicksilver and Domino buffed (especially Domino who can have a completely different style of effect, it would almost make sense for her to be a Nico kind of card where her luck ability can influence allied or opposing cards in different ways or when you draw her could effect her ability). I don't believe for a second that those cards are teaching new players anything because it assumes they would be dumb enough to not understand by default and to not understand from watching their opponents but smart enough to understand you don't have to play a terrible 1 or 2 cost to win all by themself. Who is going to see Medusa and Lizard in the early game and then think, "Wow, Domino is amazing I have to use that." Captain America should have at least got the same 1 power buff Punisher did.
I just hope Domino would be like Captain Marvel but IN HAND
While in hand, at the end of game, put it on play where youre winning the game (if possible)

I also like the idea that the on-reveal guardians get a rework that they give a buff and bonus effect if you succeed in soul reading the opponent.
My fix for Adam warlock is this. Make him a 2/5 and add: ongoing -1 power for each card in your deck. I like it cause he doesn't immediately draw a card but he isn't a dead board spot either

Baron Mordo used to only increase the cost of the drawn card by 1 up until just before global launch. Changing that to making the card cost 6 was a relatively big buff, but still not enough to make him playable (especially right now when so many decks are playing good 6 drops, you're just giving them a free draw for their Blob, Alioth, etc).
Adam Warlock has history with the Soul Stone. He should have some kind of interaction with the Infinity Stones like Cull Obsidian will have.
If Adam Warlock has Soul Stone ability and a Draw on reveal, confirm in my thanos deck
Cull obsidian is probably gonna get an ability change as that is probably a placeholder
Adam warlock shouldn’t have to explicitly only work with thanos
Cull obsidian wull be fantastic with an hybrid of Blob and skaar
Only time I’ve ever seen Mordo play was when he was the random card on my opponent’s side, and the card he drew me was Blob…. I started laughing so hard I wasn’t able to play a card that round. Which threw my entire gameplan off and I lost…. THE MORDO THREAT IS REAL!!! Lol
2099 could change to a once per turn restriction, and it would still be mid. If the stars align, you could iron fist turn 3, 2099 4, ghost spider and cloak 5, and congrats you can maybe destroy 3 random cards
that would be at least playable and fun
I'd still prefer it just followed what the text says and go with once per location. At least then you can have fun with Iron Fist on Kamar-Taj and stuff.
2099 should be 3-cost.
Being 4 cost and requiring a trigger is basically a 5/8 tech card. And a bad tech at that, because RNG dependant.

I wish that when angel gets it’s effect activated it gains a +2 buff or when it is destroyed it provides a random +2 buff to someone at this location so it can benefit you either in your hand or deck
Would love to see you countdown the best season releases of cards. Imo it was the loki season with 3 out of 4 cards Loki, Mobius and Alioth being a meta staple at the time.

actually with mantis its 25%, you have the three locations but your opponent can also choose to just not play that turn

I’d still say it’s closer to 33%. The likelihood that your opponent can’t play or chooses to not play is usually pretty low
Angel should be Discard’s version of Bucky Barnes. Discard him and he turns into Archangel and he gets a power buff.
How was Domino not mentioned with the worst cards?! I was so surprised to not see her in the top 3.
Angel needs a whole rework!
If a card is destroyed, Angel comes from hand or deck to replace it.
If Angel is destroyed or discarded, he comes back as Archangel with +2.
Spiderman 2099 needs an energy change to 3

@@Farisss11 I thought of that too, but I like the archangel lore that goes with it, kinda like the bucky concept.
In the comics, Angel has his wings cut off and is thought to be dead, only to come back with the metal wings as Archangel, so I wish they worked that into his flavor somehow

Havok is awesome with ravona and mr negative. Really love him as a turn 5 play, wins a lot in infinite :)
I didn't open or spend for Havok. The only time he ever showed up for me was during a game where I pulled him from that turn 3 X Mansion, and I guess I decided to stick through the game and he somehow came on clutch, and went about into the snowy night. What a guy.
Possible improvement to strong guy could be reverting its effect: Make it a 3/8 or something with "Ongoing: -1 power for each card you have in hand"
Buff for worst cards
Baron Mordo : on reveal AND -3 power
Adam Warlock : end of each turn, draw a card, if youre losing this location, put a random card in hand to the deck
Angel : AND +2 power

I have had the thought that maybe you give Quicksilver the opposite of Ghost. Still starts in your hand, but also give an ongoing that your cards always reveal first. Definitely potential for that to be too whack with things like Alioth, but it was just an idea I had.

Old series 1 and 2 cards, could get a level boost so when player reaches a certain level series 1 and 2 cards that have received a boost. Would get the added power or effect. So it doesnt mess up early gsme play and veterans can still play older cards
Loved this episode guys! Alex as a family boardgamer i can recommend Marvel United to play with the older kids and some party games like SushiGo and Just One are great to start with the smaller ones. A lot of player interaction and fun moments.
Mailbag: there are a lot of archetypes in Snap currently, is there an archetype that you have experienced in other card games that you may have liked or found interesting to try to implement in Snap? Example, deck milling.

MAILBAG: what do you guys think about the bundles or twitch drops for "bad" cards, like punisher or Elektra? Does it mean they may get buffed soon or is that just copium?
Loved the video. What are your thoughts on the Sugar, Spice and everything nice bundle that just came out? Is it still worth 7500G? It is not as good what was datamined but the future bundles do not look very good compared to this one?
Fun change to angel: when a card on your side is destroyed Angel flies out from your hand or deck and becomes Archangel.
Archangel then inflicts all cards on the opponent's side with -1 power
I completely forgot about Angel, I was like oh yeah Howard’s making this list.
Would making Angel and MBaku trigger also from hand make them tolerable at least?
Or maybe Angel is a 1 cost “Bucky Barnes” that becomes a higher power card when destroyed and becomes arch Angel?
Quicksilver has a place, most of my Silver surfer decks run Quicksilver, Domino, Sera, Silver Surfer and then 8 3 cost cards that combo well together, giving me a play every turn, not always the best but better than not playing a card turn 1 and 2 because you didn't draw a 1 or 2 power card.
Nah, cut Quicksilver. Domino I get it cos I used to do the same before I got Goose. But you can have other 1 drops and use them on turn 4 with another 3 drop even if you don't draw them at turn 1. Forge and Nova are way more important in a silver surfer deck instead of quicksilver.
Quicksilver and Domino are useful to keep BIG cards inside the deck for Jubileu/Blob plays and also gives something to play on curve and/or alongside lockjaw
Quicksilver/Bast/Forge + Adam is another pretty good start for combo decks.
When curved into T3 ironHearth may guarantee to draw all the combo pieces from the deck
Niche yes, but i dont think both cards are that bad.
Elektra has seen competitive play ( kmbest does a good job of highlighting competitive decks) in bounce shells to beat lock down before spider-ham came out.
Punisher and Captain America have this sort of ... Devil Dinosaur and Ronan the Accuser thing going on where they have the same effect, but reversed. And that effect just isn't good; you'd think that Punisher might be better in, like, Junk but it really isn't. And Captain America feels like they COULD be a neat flourish in Surfer paired with Brood ... but it isn't.
I wish Captain America had a Shanana effect but it always pulled members of the Avengers. Like, you could get Hawkeye, Black Widow, Wasp, Hulk, Iron Man, Scarlett Witch, and so on. I know that SNAP doesn't like to do archetypes, but it would be SO cool imho if you could play Cap and OH FUCK IRON MAN CAME OUT!
Havok is truly a good card if you know how to play him.
Played on T5 he's a 3/8. More than decent, considering the other 3/8 is Gladiator that comes with a baggage.
Played on T4 he's an unstoppable 5/12 and can't be Shang'd.
Yeah I’m the hands of smart players he’s pretty damn good in bounce in my opinion. Won 2 infinity tickets using him in bounce
My Adam Warlock fix, Keep the card as is, but add the ongoing effect: If you are losing this lane add +1 power. Maybe 2?
what they should do with mantis is the following:
- Once played this turn guess what card is in your opponents hand, if guessed correctly get a copy of it in your hand OR steal it from your opponent
both can work out pretty well, this means she isnt used for her stat line and just mainly used as either a disruption card or a card in like a devildino deck

Mailbag: what if they rework baron mordo to do something like mindscape location and it reads like daredevil and leech. He could still work with Ronan because you'd be able to "control" Ronan power a bit better
Mailbag - What if we could choose between 2 or 3 random cards when we get a series 3 from Collector’s Reserve. It's so much hard to build a deck with completely random cards. I have been playing marvel snap for almost 4 month and I'm at CL 2000 and series 3 complete happens around 5600 CL by my calculations.
Electra not bad shes just not popular and overshadowed by Killmonger. She got 52% wr on untapped. Easy to play on turn 6, 1 energy for a potential 4-7 power swing.
This reminds me, I want more deck slots! So I can try and make these bad cards work (used to have a weird Hela list that worked with Strong Guy…)
Maybe they could do buffs for archetypes or cards that buff archetypes in general like guardians or shield, to work in decks the same way as high evo. That could be cool
Mailbag: How would you guys feel about an indirect buff to Quicksilver? My thought is if they introduced new cards with a new mechanic called Burrow (Mole Man, Maggot, other obscure characters that dig in the ground). These cards would have abilities that make them stronger the longer they are in the deck.

I think a cool way to change quicksilver is to make him a 2/4 - This cost 1 less the turn you draw it.
I think that’s got the right flavor and would make him a 1/4 when drawn. So it’s a decent play at any point but you lose the benefit of you don’t “play him fast”
As you said this, I've lost to another Elektra in Series 1. Ka-Zoo is like the easiest deck to build and Elektra keeps getting the perfect 50/50s
Still wouldnt hurt to buff her to 1/2. She wouldnt break anything
Quicksilver and Domino are an easy fix. Just make them cost -1 on on the turn they're supposed to be played in addition to their existing text.
"Quicksilver costs one less energy to play on Turn One", "Domino costs one less energy to play on Turn Two".
So if the cards pop in your hand later from a draw effect ie; Maria Hill, they won't be getting the energy reduction.
Btw mordos old effect was your opponent draws a card and it must be played turn 5.
i run a version of deadpool taskmaster only deck that basically heavily relies on drawing deadpool. ever since the chavez nerf, angel has been a god send in making it consistent. easy infinite. when he works he works. legit the only deck thinner in the game.
Back before the Elsa nerf, I had Warlock working really well in a C2 deck.
The best part about Angel is he always starts in your hand
MAILBAG: Do you ever look at the nerfs as potential buffs if you change the given card's deck/archetype?
I'm asking as I've started playing the recently nerfed ProX in a homebrew Toxic Thor deck with Thor, Jane Foster, Ravonna, Iron Man, Mr Negative and Mystique and I have to say there's no better feeling than to lock your opponent out of one lane with a 1/5 ProX while playing 0/3 Mystique into Thor on a different lane. Can the nerfs be buffs?

Heres my buff for everything:
Morph- On Reveal: Merge with a copy of a card in your opponent's hand.
This doesnt remove yoyr opponent's card as it only merges with a copy but what this does is keep the morphed card at three cost which allows it to be buffed by silver surfer.
Mbaku- (1/4) At the end of the game, if this is in your deck, it jumps to a location. -3 power otherwise.
If you dont draw this card, it is amazing but it jumps to a random location so it is still unreliable. If you draw this and play it, it is a 1/4 which helps with priority but it does lose that power at the end of the game. But at least it has some uses and can even use it with venom.
Elektra- (1/0) On Reveal: Destroy all 1-Cost card here.
A limited killmonger. Makes killmonger not the only zoo killer but of course this is countered by cosmo while killmonger can dodge cosmo
Mantis- (2/2) If your opponent played a card here this turn, draw 2 cards from their deck.
For a soul read, it needs to have a decent payoff. This change helps ruin combo decks, helps counter blob, and makes this more viable for dino or loki.
Martyr- (1/5) After every turn, move to a location that LOSES you the game. (If possible)
Same flavor, but AFTER EVERY TURN instead of just the end of the game. At least it manipulates priority, like a worse ghost. Also helps trigger move synergies like kraven and miles morales.
Adam Warlock- On Reveal: If your opponent played a card here this turn, +2 Power.
After each turn, draw a card if you're winning here.
Add the guardians' flavor to it. A stronger rocket raccoon but doesn't get buffed by kazar and also a higher cost with weaker base power. At least it gets a little push but still requires a soul read. And its just for a surprise as well so it only helps you get that first draw.
Baron Mordo- (2/4)
Ronan got buffed now so no need to change his effect. Maybe just a bit of bump in power.
Strong Guy- (3/4)
This makes it a 3/10 which enables a future card (spoilers) but it can dodge shangchi if you trigger its ability at the right time.
Quicksilver and Domino- These cards are unchangeable. BUT, they do help you draw mbaku less often and if mbaku is good, maybe this becomes useful. Introduce more cards like mbaku and maybe these cards that I will refer to as "deck thickeners", get some use.
Captain America- (3/1) Ongoing: On reveal cards you play after this turn have +1 power.
Weaker Blue Marvel but still strong especially if you play on curve. This statline makes him work with ravonna but it shouldnt matter because only cards in turn 4 onwards will get the buff. This is basically reverse Bishop but bishop is not that strong in this meta game and this goes wide instead of tall and only works on on reveal cards. Maybe this would fit in werewolf by night decks or maybe just its own deck because on its own, this is a 3/12 if you fill the board with on reveals. 3/12 maybe strong but typical board filling strats also use non-on reveal cards that dont get buffed by captain america (dazzler, mojo antman, broodlings, ultron bots, squirrels, kazar, blue marvel) so on avearge, this is probably a 3/8 which is good but manageable. This doesnt go crazy with bounced on reveals too, as this is an ongoing effect, once you go back to the deck, you lose the +1 and only gain +1 when you get played again.
Angel- When one of your cards is about to be destroyed, this flies out of your deck and gets destroyed instead.
This is free shangchi or killmonger protection which is very strong but you have to keep it in your deck to work. This makes lockjaw+angle viable, this makes deck thickeners have a use as well.
Baron would get a great bump up just from showing you what you hit. Might as well gain intel like Spider-Ham 🤷🏽♂️
Adam warlock, punisher and captain America i all use. Adam is in my favorite deck. Cap and punisher are in my second favorite deck. I hope they don’t change them. Unless your just adding power to it, I’ll take free power. But keep the cost, keep the effects.
I like 2099. I use him in my annoying move deck with Stegron and Magneto and it totally messes up people's combo.

Here’s an idea for Angel. When he is destroyed, change him into the Archangel where and destroy two random 1 or 2 cost cards on the opponents side.
Often thought about a change to Quicksilver being: "The first time you move a card, draw this card" but possibly too strong
M'baku could be buffed by either 1) you never draw him during a game OR 2) if he comes into play from the deck he gets ongoing +2

If drawn, draw a card, put this back to deck with +1 power. Then

Martyr should be negative, but then move to anywhere to lose your opponent the game at the end. That way you have to pay with board space, and they can counter with lockdown.

I’d like to see a total rework of Angel to have something that brings in Archangel. Like if Angel is discarded/destroyed return to your hand as a 0/X Archangel.

They should give Angel an Archangel w/ effect when he's destroyed similar to Bucky w/ winter soldier
Quicksilver sounds intresting in deck pull decks with Jubile Lockjaw and Blob
That sounds good on paper, but it actually makes you marginally less likely to see those cards (especially Lockjaw who you want to get early), and you could always just be running another target/enabler for them instead.
Martyr should be changed to move on turn 5 to the lane that you are losing the most.
Maybe even from wherever she is( hand,lane or deck)?
Don't know what the stat line should be.
And isn't quicksilver kinda a reverse chavez, before the revision?

Maybe quick silver could be a 1/1 but gains plus 2 or 3 if play it on turn one.
I think Cap should have a plus +1 to two of people on his location and give - 1 to two cards on the opposite or do something with his shield effect. Throw it around and do something. Make him a 3-0 and give +1 to your all cards on your side and -1 to all cards opposite side. Domino should have the effect where your draw her if you dont have a card to play. Turn 3, you have all 4+ cards and then domino draws to give you a card to play that turn istead of skipping
Quicksilver: "If ~ is in your opening hand, put him into play at the location of your choice"
Cards like Angel and M'baku need to "start on the bottom of the deck". Course a shuffling of rocks in or something could push it towards the top but yeah. That's an easy solve.
What if Martyr was made to lose the turn. That way you can get her out early and sway priority
Angel should be a 1/2 when destroyed, return a random friendly card you’ve destroyed to your hand other than Angel.

Angel needs to start on bottom of deck and if it becomes problem, then print a card to destroy enemy card at bottom of deck, don’t want to get rekt by angel after all
I've been saying this since forever, a simple change of "...your deck OR hand..." would make Angel at least playable.
