@@longhunter1252 the care of the school was left to Magneto by Charles Xavier following his death. I think that this story line will be covered in the new X-Men '97 series
@@DarthJF I am really hoping that they do it justice in X-Men '97. I am also hoping for some awesome variants for Snap. I would love to collect a set of '97 variants. I am currently collecting the Jim Lee variants in Snap
I have a son in grade two as well. He is a Snap fanatic. Kid is crazy into the game. He beats me regularly. Of course he's not full collection so I just build my decks on his account and then copy them to mine to try to keep it fair. I think it's a great game for kids. Teaches reading comprehension and math skills. One of my favorite parts of the day is when I get home from work and we play the guess what cards he's opened today.
I love how cozy said we don’t wanna see a Batman v Superman man vs god type battle and brought up Ironman vs Thor like 2 seconds before that 😂. Loved this episode!
One of my favorite plays i pulled off this week with Cull was when i was playing a DH/Annihilus deck. I played Hood and Cull on turn 5 then on turn 6 i played Yellowjacket in the same lane as Cull (which let Cull dodge the Shang my opponent played on turn 6) along with Annihilis to send the now -4 Hood over to my opponents side. Cull may not be fancy but hes still a great stat stick and hes pretty versatile. Like you guys mentioned, Nightcraler is a great 1 drop to run with Cull as is Squirrel Girl since she allows Cull to be played in every lane.
Putting Galactus in my Cerebro decks usually works as a saving grace. When you play as few cards as you do in a Cerebro deck, the opponent always leaves a location behind.
Hello Alex, hello Cozy, Thank you so much for your videos, they are a must-see, you keep this community going thanks to the quality and regularity of your posts. I love Marvel Snap and have been playing it with my friends since it came out, and there's just one aspect that's bothering us that I'd really like to hear your opinion on. We've noticed that early in the season, we generally run into a wide variety of decks and have a fairly consistent win/loss ratio. On the other hand, almost systematically (and especially for those of us who didn't reach Infinite quickly), we find ourselves in absolutely horrendous streaks of inexplicable losses, despite running the same decks, and despite sometimes near-perfect draws for the deck. We're talking multiple days in a row without a single win. More and more streamers are talking about what seems to be a real problem, either bots or "randomness" that isn't really random at all. It's really annoying and some of my friends have even stopped playing because of it. Have you noticed this? Could there be a bug that Second Dinner isn't aware of (we can't imagine it being done on purpose)?
Would be cool if cards would get faction and alignment tags. Factions would be avenger / x-men / Black Order etc and alignment would be Hero, Anti-Hero, Villain and Neutral/Cosmic something for more complex characters. They could add interactions and maybe cards that affect them. Like Quicksilver can be saved by a card that give x-men and/or avengers bonus abilities or synergies.
Mailbag: Now that special emotes are here, it seems impossible that we would get the Mute All function that has appeared on previous road maps. What do you guys think of a Black List function so we can perma-mute players who spam aggressively? Maybe it could be limited in number or reset each month?
1:50 I got Thanos fatigue during the Blob meta simply due to the RNG of Reality Stone. people would just throw it down willy-nilly and it very often screwed over one (usually me) if not both of us. I’d rather see Scarlet Witch in every game because at least it takes some amount of consideration to play her at 2 cost I’m not saying I’d like RS to be nerfed or anything, it’s just not the type of card I want to be dealing with as often as I’ve had to
I saw this really interesting play that someone did against me where they had a Djinn in their hand and had played Nico the turn before. The Djinn got turned into a demon because of Nico and I guess the game was aware of that happening because at the same time that they dropped the Djinn they dropped the Cull. It's cool to see how some of these things work and what is and isn't allowed within rules of the cards
I had an unexpected interaction: - Opponent played Killmonger. - Then next turn they played Iron Lad, who scanned Absorbing Man. - Absorbing Man triggered Killmonger. I didn’t think that would happen; Iron Lad is the last card played, not Killmonger. But after successfully ducking priority and bouncing my cards correctly I lost on that play lol
@daniellatkowsky6284 Yea I honestly would've guessed the absorbing man mimicking the Iron Lad, but it's cool to get some basic idea of the behind-the-scenes work through card interactions. Intentional or not, it's those little tech-type plays that can allow you to do crazy things. I still catch plenty of people off guard when I Snow Hawk a limbo location and just end a game when they were relying on that extra turn.
@@Shai_Kakuja yeah the random obscure interactions are limitless. That’s one reason I like playing the Shield/ Dino deck that creates random cards. I see interactions and combos I would never think of otherwise
No, it's really simple actually. Lad simply makes the next card's text his own, so it doesn't consider that Lad was the "card played before", because he is the one activating the effect! It would make no sense if he copied a ability and it propped on himself again, it would cause an infinite loop in certain situations
The ice man talk reminded me of a recent match where my opponent ice manned my high evo twice in a row. It was the most value I've ever gotten from drawing evo himself.
Mailbag: I know you’ve talked about this before, but what are some cards that you think need a buff the most? I’ve been trying to run a guardians of the galaxy deck with Jean Grey but it just seems the shear amount of power you are putting up isn’t enough. (Drax being a max of 4-8 vs Cull Obsidian 4-10 feels super weak) For such popular characters, the guardians feel super weak.
Mailbag: After Valentine's Day event, it got me thinking, we have seen how much one power point can make a card much better. What about the opposite? What cards would get significantly less play by changing a power point or the cost. For example I think Iron man would see no play as a 6 cost, or brood going down to a 1 power.
What's a good flex card replacement for spilling water on your keyboard? 😂 Love you and Cozy's work as always... even if I'm late to the snap chat videos every week due to an abundance of hockey podcasts early in the week.
I'm just going to say this now: SuperGiant is what Kang should have been, sort of. More specifically Daredevil + SG is what Kang should be similar to. The one argument with Kang was about how powerful just knowing a potential play is going to be. It helped make sure that your Magik/Limbo wasn't going to be killed on turn 6 so you can rely on it for that turn 7 in decks that use cards like She Hulk. But what makes Kang so weak is that he himself doesn't bring anything to the table outside the one ability. Sure you can deck thin, but that's an outcome of his ability and not necessarily something I think was planned. Now with DD + SG? You have so much control over your turn 5 and 6. Your priority does not change from what you had at the end of turn 4 which allows you to determine exactly what card you want playing at the end of the game to hit the most targets. Have Prio? Use cards like Alioth or Cosmo. Don't have Prio? Set down a Spider Woman, or a Shang, Enchantress, or Shadow King. And despite that, SG still brings so-so power to the table. Kang however? 0 power even if you somehow played him without the ability going off. That's it. So I hope Kang gets looked at again, especially with this current sandbox of cards since his release. I've thought having something like the opposite of Ghost could be interesting. Have Kang give you priority when placed down alongside his future seeing/rewind. Essentially "Your cards will always reveal first for the remainder of the game". So not only do you see a potential line of play, you also get to flip yours first to counter what they might show.
I also think Snap needs team bonuses like X-men, Fantastic Four, etc. It's a common feature in RPG's to have a "set bonus", where you play/equip all the pieces of a certain type of armor and get a stat boost. I don't think they will ret-con a bunch of older cards to do it, but they could avoid ruining the meta by taking the High Evolutionary approach. The obvious candidate is The Beyonder, who was the villain of the Secret Wars comics. He teleported everyone to battleworld for a big cross-over event, so I think he's a perfect character to bring a set bonus into Marvel Snap. Also, the answer to the next Valentine's Day style event would be rivals. Red Skull vs. Captain America, for example. Play them against each other and the effect activates. There's a lot of history in the source material to make that happen.
I really thought that one of the black order cards would summon some of those minions Thanos used in the Avengers movies. Would love some new Patriot decks.
MAILBAG: What do you think of increasing hand size as a mechanic? Something like a low cost card with an ongoing effect of hand size+1, so your new maximum is 8 cards instead of 7.
Alex! The DD and She Hulk stuff is all MCU. The she hulk show they like each other and do the deed. That’s where that stems from at least for recent memory.
Mailbag.- What is your opinion with iconic teams in the marvel universe not having any synergy in game? For instance, the avengers , the fantastic four, the x-men, the sinister six etc. 2nd attempt lol
Mailbag: What are your opinions on new cards taking the place of old cards, particularly of iconic characters, so that big names in Marvel could see some love while still preserving the starter cards. E.g. The mutant Boost (a relatively unknown character) replaces Capt America in our collections and the "new" card for a week is a fully reworked Cap that can be earned in a spotlight/tokens. Of course, variants become a big hurdle but it gives both new and seasoned players the chance to work towards those iconic characters.
Mailbag: Keep up the great work, this is my favourite UA-cam video every week!! Idea for Discard - Bullseye (2 Cost, 2 Power) Ongoing… “All random discards can be targeted”. I think this would be fire!! Benefits Hell Cow, Gambit, Corvus Glaive, Sword Master & Moon Knight. It would not impact Lady Sif, Coleen Wing, Blade & Silver Samurai. Alternatively, just give this ability to Sword Master to make him relevant. What do you think?
I really dug this Valentine's day event and am sad we don't have more stuff like this I would really dig themed events that use the mechanic from High Evo to enable leadership and team up bonuses like Valentine's day event. For example, Colossus and Wolvie famously have the "Fastball Special" so it would be cool if you play Wolvie on an already played Colossus, Wolvie gets destroyed triggering his abilities and you give a minus -2 to another card at this location. Stuff like that. Even just leader bonuses based on the character like High Evo similar to the Nick Fury idea Cozy and Alex floated. It would just be cool to have themes that reinforced the team dynamics we know from the comics in some way. Xavier could boost X-Men combos since even back to teh 60s stories they were very much about synergy attacks. Each of the different team leaders could have different type of ability that encourages a different playstyle or archetype. So many possibilities. They could do it like once a season and target important anniversaries like Stan or Jack's birthday, prominent first appearances, like so many thing they could do to spice up the meta for a but. If they were worried about it messing up the ladder it could just be a conquest event and add some cool variants to the mix based on the theme of the event. That would appease old nerds like me but also not blow their competitive play. It would also be a cool sandbox to try out variation and maybe even decided to make it a core game change at some point. Mechanic from High Evo to enable leadership and team up bonuses like Valentine's day event. For example, if you have one of the team leaders out you get special abilities on certain team members.
Mailbag: With the hope of new game modes being added in the future, what is a game mode you would like to see in Snap? I feel like a single-player challenge mode would be a good outlet for players to experiment with more cards in their collection, and maybe unlock a special emote for completing the challenge.
Mailbag: whats the craziest combo deck you’ve played or played against, that caught you by surprise? I recently lost 8 cubes to a turn 7 wong spectrum grandmaster deck
Mailbag: on the location/cerebro topic... Locations play such a big part in the variance of Snap! Oftentimes leading to non games for some deck types. Do you feel locations should play such a large part competitively in the game going forward or would it be better for a tournament format in the future to be limited to a predetermined pool of locations for people to build around for an event?
MailBag: Captain America is one of the best Avengers but no-one plays him outside of the Power of Love event, What do you think about making him a 1 cost black knight type card where if you do something you get the cap shield in your hand, i remember a previous mailbag that you guys had touched on what if we had more cards like black knight. What would you do to make The First Avenger more playable?
MAILBAG: if you could create an archetype in Snap, what would it be? Example: Revive where you can bring back destroyed / discarded cards from either graveyard but you can choose them and where they will come back ( like grave robber in Yu-Gi-OH )
Mailbag: What card has the closest ability to their comic/mcu counterpart? Example Wolverine never dying or Thanos power increase when he has all the rings.
MAILBAG: Hi Cozy and Alex, thanks for a great show. I got a question to you. Now Marvel snap has been on the air for over a year. In that time a lot of variants have been for sale in the shop. Cards that you only got that one chance to buy. But therefore also lost opportunity for new players to acquire, and albums you cannot complet. Do you think there is a chance that variants will be resold at some point? And what is your opinion of the "one chance" to by ekslusive variants?
Favorite Marvel couple is easily Scarlet Witch and Vision. Their relationship just hits me harder than the other ones. Though I do love the now canon throuple of Jean, Cyclops, and Wolverine as well. To answer the question of why Daredevil and She-Hulk, Cozy pretty much nailed it (no pun intended). Daredevil and She-Hulk are both notorious for sleeping around in the comics and frequently hit each other up. One of She-Hulk's more famous story arcs actually involves her getting kicked out of Avenger's Mansion for constantly bringing random dudes back there to smash which inevitably causes a massive security risk for the Avengers. But yeah, Daredevil is also number 1 in terms of sleeping around. In all though I loved the Valentine's Day event as a whole and 100% believe that it was them testing the waters/coding for some form of tribal synergies in the future. I had a lot of fun running a deck with some of the couples and actually winning the games. Big props to Second Dinner for the event.
MAILBAG: hey Alex and Cozy! Do you guys think it would be smart of second dinner to take a week or two of not putting out new cards and use that time to work on the health of the game?
Few things feel better than dropping Armour with priority on a lane with Nova and Bucky, and seeing the other guy rage quit when they dropped a carnage or Wolverine on the same turn trying to set up. Idc what deck I'm playing, she's in every single one. I'm pretty new, just go to Series 3 and hit a ceiling around 47. Maybe that's a bad call, but destroy decks are every other one I face right now at my level and that's my only good counter.
Cosmo is a pretty good destroyer counter too. If you play a decent ongoing package with armour and cosmo and also spectrum, you should be good to counter a lot of destroy with decent play lines
Iceman is so good I bought his Ultimate, I love playing this card three times a game. I often use early forge/niko buffs on it for extra insult. Love me some Iceman.
I can never forgive tarnax for giving me mr. negative one time, which was the only 4 drop that didn't have enough power to win me the location and therefor lost the game. That same game my opponent playing discard got Hela from the hub.
MAILBAG: I'm a primarily Destroy player along with what seems like about half the playerbase. Why do you think destroy is so popular despite the many hard counters to the archetype (armor, cosmo, etc.)?
MAILBAG!! Would you and Cozy consider a “Snap Points/MMR” explained video? Why do I hit infinite on day 2 every season but start ranked with 6800 SP, while I see many others hit infinite later and start with 7400 for example? How does snapping affect your SP gamble for that match? Why do I sometimes win, but lose SP and vice versa?
I think they should make x mansion give the same cost card two both players so it picks a random cost then gives them each a different card from that cost. Me and my cousin always talk about that location
Mailbag: What if your Easter Bunny Idea happened....What do you think of the eggs becoming random cards as you play them? I think that would be interesting.
MAILBAG: You've often touched upon the early game cards being weak to protect new players so what do you think of this solution: keep the Captain Americas and Uatus where they are but buff them automatically as you reach a certain CL? E.g. Cap is 3:3, but goes to 3:5 and +2 buff to others at a higher CL?
Waiting on the corvus verdict now checking Alex channel for newest video on UA-cam. Guess will have to wait till the morning… haha thanks again Alex for being hustler I got 3 names for us electro - wave - Corvus is it good?
Mailbag: I'm actually really curious about Cozy's real first name. I'm getting some Brad or Patrick vibes. It would be funny if it was Cody, or Cozy even! 😅 Just keen to know the person behind the flashy shirts 😉
Alex please talk more about the Snap economy. I buy the season pass, and only the pass, for more than 1 year, and lately they dont offer good (or at leadt decent) bundles with gold. I sit on more than 10.000 gold not spent, and i look at datamines and it seems nothing good will come in the immediate future
Best relationship is Wolverine and Storm from the days of future past run. By far the healthiest relationship Logan is ever in and Storm with a Mohawk is just even more of a bad bitch than she normally is.
And here I am playing a Priority focused Thanos deck using Black Swan and Super Giant to gain prio for turn 5 so I can slap down an Alioth and secure a lane lol. I've never liked Lockjaw or Hela decks. The whole RNG slot machine style of decks are not that fun personally.
On the Hero/Villain topic. What if it was defined by the variant? That way, different Deadpool, Magneto & Namor variants can be hero and other variants can be villain.
Mailbag: What do you think about playing cards like Zabu or Revona off curve? I often draw Zabu on round 4, and find myself wondering if it is even worth playing him at that point, or just start laying out my Ms Marvels, DHs etc.

A draft mode where people draft random cards also sounds super fun
Mailbag: whats the craziest combo deck you’ve played or played against, that caught you by surprise? I recently lost 8 cubes to a turn 7 wong spectrum grandmaster deck
For anyone else confused by the Daredevil, She-hulk power couple. It's primarily because they hooked up in the She-Hulk MCU show
Mailbag: on the location/cerebro topic...
Daredevil and SheHulk have hooked up in the comics, but we're def a thing in the SheHulk D+ series.
The She-Hulk and Daredevil Power Couple boost is because of the She-Hulk show, where she hooks up with Matt.
Dare devil hooked up with she hulk in the she hulk show. They did the combo cause it of the synergie between the 2 cards
The fact that x mansion doesn't give strictly X-Men cards is actually a huge oversight. Quick location change no big deal
While DD certainly gets around (as does Jen, tbh) this coupling is specific about the Disney+ series where they hook up
Mail bag: What do you think of having animated and infinity split card backs
Throat Cannon! Pokémon style. That Dino is a great split 😆
Daredevil came back into the shehulk show and that why they did that. Was more recent then the Daredevil show.
Great episode as always!
I think they should make x mansion give the same cost card two both players so it picks a random cost then gives them each a different card from that cost. Me and my cousin always talk about that location
Loool Cozy been reading them special Smash comics 😂
Hulk and She-Hulk was a pretty insane power couple. IYKYK
Lmfaooo ohhh nah NO OLD MAN LOGAN Variants Or Lore Please 😂
@@dondata9056 Hulk Gang hahaha
I made a C8 deck and I'm so sad that legion has been nerfed to 7 power.
I feel like yondu is slept on for a 1 cost
Probably already mentioned but she hulk and daredevil due to the she hulk Disney+series
Best relationship is Wolverine and Storm from the days of future past run. By far the healthiest relationship Logan is ever in and Storm with a Mohawk is just even more of a bad bitch than she normally is.
The Thanos fatigue is real, but the main fatigue of that deck is lockjaw.
@@ROFLWAFFLELAWL4 Well I don't hate playing Thanos as much when I'm not beholden to the casino.
Cerebro 5 feels fantastic right now and has for a while. Locations seem determined to ruin your time though.
Please... my boy needs help... help Cross Bones please...
Thanks for the video.
Yo finally someone talked about my sandman
I had an X-Mansion roll where I got Iron Man and my opponent got Rogue 😂💀
She-Hulk smashes Daredevil in the Disney+ She-Hulk show, hence their pairing in the game.
Scottie doesn't knooooow 😂
MAILBAG: Whats cards do you think deserve some love in the variants department? Obviously excluding recently added cards
On the Hero/Villain topic. What if it was defined by the variant? That way, different Deadpool, Magneto & Namor variants can be hero and other variants can be villain.
that whole 'heroes and villains' thing is marvel strike force's thing
I don't think you can say throat cannon on UA-cam, lol. Daredevil gets with She-Hulk in the She-Hulk show, FYI.
Mailbag: How many infinity border cards do you have?
Love you two.
enjoy the content, thanks!
alex that's why you get a leak spill proof cup lol
The "staging" for cull is silly. How does that make sense! :(
MAILBAG: Should Infinity Conquest week be free of OTAs and patches?
Thats why i like Mobius
She Hulk and Daredevil hook up in the She-Hulk series on Disney+
Anybody have a good replacement for Caiera?
Daredevil and She-Hulk smashed in the She-Hulk series.

MAILBAG
Question , what are your top 3 "aged like a fine wine" cards currently?
Mailbag: What do you think about playing cards like Zabu or Revona off curve? I often draw Zabu on round 4, and find myself wondering if it is even worth playing him at that point, or just start laying out my Ms Marvels, DHs etc.
If X-Mansion only gives X-Men (or X-Men related cards), then Avenger's Tower should do the same for the Avengers! 😁
YES
