I am considering this as my next car & to double up as a small family car also. Currently have a yaris 2023 hybrid, a brilliant small car. So i know the toyota hybrid is about and their reliability. Note: the dim cabin and boot light can easily be diy upgraded to led.
We just ordered exact same Orange Edition fully loaded and it costs only £29k brand new after £4k discount.. Very good deal compared to German cars that don't come with many latest equipments and technology as standard.
Great review agree with you about looks it does look stunning i watched your review on the 1.6 turbo vauxhall insignia brought one six weeks ago and really impressed, keep up the great reviews.
Great review. Can you help clear something up for me regarding mpg in a hybrid. On your test you said the car was runnning 56% of the time in electric mode and then when you looked at mpg, you were averaging 45mpg. When the system gives that avg mpg figure, does that also include the mileage covered in electric mode because if 56% of the time was in electric mode, presumably that equates to approx 25mpg when running the combustion only engine? It's just something that's always confused me.
Currently looking to replace my 3 year old C-HR, unfortunately, Toyota are going completely automatic /hybrid (love my C-HR hate automatic/hybrids) so now looking at either MG zs or most likely Peugeot 3008. If Toyota hadn't made the decision to take the route they have I would have stayed with them but after 2 Aygos, 2Yaris and 1CH-R it's time to move on sad day.
Worst review format and contradictory conclusion - don't waste your time. This review is confusing, jumps around and you don't know which model you are looking at Poor structure and not helpful. The conclusion contradicts the title. The conclusion says don't buy this vehicle!
Hi there John. You’ve got me scratching my head on your comment. The title says CHR review. The model is a CHR! The format is laid out out like all of my other full reviews (consistency is key) and I praise the car at the end. I feel that perhaps you’re in need of a bear hug? Anyways, have a wonderful festive holiday and happy new year to you.

You can upgrade the cabin and boot light to led yourself. I'm considering this orange edition as my next car.
Awesome review Dave
Excellent review!
Well, I’ve seen it now. Still undecided. Corolla might be a better option. Great review.
