The comfiest car I’ve ever driven (30,000 miles in 10 months) Adaptive cruise control is awesome so you don’t have to pay that much attention to the road ahead. I got the tech pack option and it’s well worth it. The design of small windows in the rear doors are fantastic so when the front and back doors are open you can stand between them and have piss in complete privacy in any lay-by. My trips are mostly motorway and I’m getting about 57mpg @ 70mph.
Guys, you repeated the error about CVT from previous review. There is no gearbox or belt in hybrid models, just petrol engine, two motor generators, a few gears and power electronics (they call it e-CVT). I was actually quite surprised with smoothness of the powertrain, compared to 1.5 TSI with DSG on T-Roc that wasn't very convincing in low revs, just I didn't like the rest of the car and it was considerably more expensive, in my country at least ...
Fantastic review by the way. I’ve always preferred slightly more rapid vehicles but with my first child on the way my partner and I need something with a bit more room, good safety features and economical with todays financial issues. Today we looked at the C-HR and the Yaris Cross. Really not sure which is the best option. I’d like a bit more go power as I believe that adds to safety in certain situations.

I’ve just test driven one of these, loved it so much I was buying after a ten minute drive. Time will tell if it lives up to the hype. First impressions of the 1.8 hybrid was it lacked power, again a week or two learning to drive it the way it is designed to be driven will tell….
Another excellent review and nice to see some kind words about this car for a change. The range topper is the "Orange Edition" 2.0 litre which has the kitchen sink thrown in as well! You quote 370 ish litres for boot space but if memory serves me correctly, I believe boot space on the 2.0 litres is around 350 litres to accommodate the battery as there is not enough room under the bonnet.
@@rivervalegroup I enjoyed your review, very detailed. It is a very good car but I think it is missing a little bit of cargo room. My ideal candidate would have been Corolla Cross 2.0 hybrid AWD but it may take another year or two until they will start selling in Europe and not even sure that the local dealer will decide to import AWD version.
Switched off after the 3rd mention of rubber belt CVT. Its an E - CVT, there is NO belt used in the Toyota hybrid transmission. How can you give an honest review if you cannot get basic facts of the product your reviewing right?
Hello there 👋 While both cars offer comfortable driving experiences, the Toyota Prius focuses more on fuel efficiency and a serene driving environment, while the Toyota C-HR emphasises sporty handling and a more engaging driving experience.
They're all good options. Depends on what you prefer. If you're looking for a new car and are in the UK, get in touch, our team can help. www.osv.ltd.uk/hello-youtube/
The crappy gearbox kills an otherwise good car. The interior (mainly the horrible looking centre screen perched on the dashboard) is the mouldy cherry on the cake. No wonder it's mainly bought by old geezers.
Bet most people get this on a PCP deal and trade it in after 3 years or so for yet ANOTHER PCP deal because they cant afford the balloon payment at the end. Best off getting one good car that does everything and keep it ten years at least. Saves a fortune doing that. Get a Subaru and stop wasting your money.
@@frankopanklaric I used to, but not anymore. Not changing until I can get an electric car (because I won't have a choice) that suits my purpose. I simply refuse to pay 30k for a Twingo! Until then extremely happy to hold onto my C-HR for the next, possible, 9 years.
@@frankopanklaric I have had many cars over the past 38 years. This is my first Toyota and it has been trouble free for the past three years. I think that the five year period will really be the proof. However, my old Mazda 2 was sold to a friend, and after 14 years it still has had no major issues.
Surely the best value is to buy it is when someone returns it after the 3 year PCP has ended. The finance company and PCP has paid the major depreciation then.
I love the C-hr ❤😂 The "ugliness" you're talking about makes it to be unique crossover 🔥🔥🙌. I don't want to be normal, normal is boring! The C-hr defines my personality

OSV is just mind numbingly professional. A constant stream of information for almost an hour. It's very impressive.
We'll take that as a compliment! Hope you found the video useful 👍

Great info, do you have to press the brake & accelerator for moving & stopping?
No, you wave your hand and shout giddyup, and away you go 👍
How does this compare with RAV4?
Fantastic reliable car cheap running..

Looks like you were driving in Horsham Sussex! My home town!
I was told that the 1.8 revised CHR also got a suspension tweak but not as much as the 2.0 car
When music started I thought you finished but it was 1/3 and you just have started 😄
Apologies for that Mark! 😅 What are your thoughts on the C-HR? Interested in getting one?

Can I fit a road bike without taking off front wheel?
In Japan Toyota out rank both BMW and Mercedes for quality and engineering
i dont think anyone in the world could think of quality/reliability when talking about bmw or mercedes

Muchas Gracias!
“EV mode won’t work if the batteries aren’t charged up”. Seems obvious. Is that like “the engine won’t work without petrol”?

So you buy a car with an electric motor which is charged using a petrol engine. Makes sense, not
its a bad car and bad company in lebanon
