I sure hope that Victor Robles has actually figured something out and isn't just having a flukey stretch in his short time as a Mariner. Seeing him get hot again after a substantial slump gives me hope that maybe the change of scenery is all he needed to fully realize his potential. Regardless of the outcome of this season, Victor Robles has been a ray of hope in a season full of disappointments.
I believe that a combination of 9 Astro wins or M’s losses will end the M’s season. The M’s manage to gain only 1 game on the Astros since August 21. With 12 games left, there is only about 5% chance.
They need to win this series vs the Yankees to stay remotely alive. The Padres will play Houston tough since they're fighting for seeding. Houston also has their last 3 games against Cleveland who may be competing to get the #1 seed with NY. The #2 will have to play the winner of Baltimore and KC after a bye. I'd want that 1 seed if I was the Guardians. Seattle just needs to take care of business and let the rest break how it does.

The Twins have been playing bad baseball down the stretch. If anyone is going to collapse for us it's going to be them. The only issue is that for a WC spot we also have to pull ahead of the red-hot Tigers (who just won a series against Baltimore and end the year against the White Sox).

Call me crazy if you want but Ms should DH Mitch Garver again. Ok am I a biased Garver fan? Sure. I been a fan ever he was interviewed by Seattle Sports and they were talking about T Mobile not being hitter friendly and Garver was like "so what?" Obviously Garver has struggled A LOT this season but I think he has got that Champion mindset where he ain't gonna make excuses he just gonna keep at it until he is back where he needs to be. Walk off vs Braves. Chills September and October Garver is going to be MVP level.
It's also the most he's played in a season in his whole career though. Let him save some juice for next year, we're almost certainly going to be rostering him then too. He's got that odd year energy anyhow. Also what happened to Mariners vs. Dodgers?
@@T_K7 It's still gonna be a 2024 Mariners vs Dodgers World Series. REVENGE SERIES! And before the season began I was expecting that the Mariners would have to struggle to get in although I was expecting another close three way race in the AL West.
@@mrsticky005 Yeah, I think we all were expecting the AL West to be closer (including the schedulers with all of those late Seattle vs. Texas teams series). With the way things are going this year maybe the A's will step in for 2025 to replace one of the Texas teams to bring it back (plus I want to see how MLB reacts to having playoff baseball in Sacramento/wherever the A's end up). I think the M's will play well in Sutter Health Park :^)
