Sonic 1, for example, is extremely common and easy to find complete copies of. Not 2 days ago I found a copy of it at CeX for like, £5! There are rare and uncommon games out there that are interesting to look into, and these ain't them.
One of the rarest games is the digital version of NBA Jam, which was only bundled with North American versions of the physical game, NBA Elite 11. Elite is already rare to get ahold of, but that version of Jam only has about 5 known owners.

When most of these games are some of the most common on the system and all they have going for them is they are still sealed then you should definitely be suspicious as usually high prices for games were for once that had very small production runs or were never officially released but had a handful of copies made. Some of the prices were artificial in order to try and make others think they held more value than they actually did

it's important to distinguish between the "collector's market" and the "consumer market". A consumer is someone who is going to rip open the box, play the game and enjoy it. A collector is someone who is going to keep the thing in pristine condition and pass it down from generation to generation or w/e.

I have all 10 of these. None are sealed though. I know despite having them complete in box except the NWC which has no box… These only will go for a few $100s without a perfect grade. I played them as most kids do. I took care but not to get a 9 or above. And I’m not selling my NWC 🤣
