I agree 110% with Kyle. The reason my voice is so frequently silent of late, is that there seem to be SO many people that are just happy to get whatever they're thrown. The standards of Star Wars creation has dropped so low at this point I simply don't see what's being produced as the real thing anymore. It's a mess and something significant needs to change.

I agree with Kyle in that we need better storytelling. However, I don't want a new era. I want more in The New Republic era. And I want it to be brilliant.

I looked at the Qimir task at giving Mae at least four attempts at deducing the riddle of killing a Jedi “without a weapon.”
My first interpretation, as many, was meant to kill a disarmed Jedi: challenging the concept of killing an unarmed person.
The show’s interpretation is to have the person to fulfill the goal of killing a Jedi without a weapon meaning to kill using the Force, I think, is a good interpretation; a Sith bends the Force to their own will for the purpose of gaining strength, thus corrupting their relationship to the Force itself.
The Force is not a weapon, but it can be weaponized. Using the Force to kill subsequently requires the user to tap into the dark side and severe themselves from that Jedi interpretation of the Force as a medium connecting us all.
Just my take though, always love the discussion!

I absolutely love the acolyte, and I think a lot of the haters tend to be far right and really upset that the real world has invaded their Star Wars. It’s like the beer can and Kid Rock. They don’t know what to do. They’re freaking out… Anyway, I thought the story was great all the stuff between the lines, such as harnessing the power of sustaining life… I think that Yoda and Vanestra could possibly be hiding and hoarding that dark secret. Also, the fact that Vestra was the masters master and whipped him with her illegal fiber whip, which I heard is frowned upon in the Jedi order.
I’m a registered Democrat and proud liberal. Also, I thought Acolyte was terrible. I hope they do better. Fingers crossed.

Sorry Kyle Newman is wrong. Disney are mass producing Star Wars on TV yes. George Lucas was going to do exactly the same thing with the Underworld TV series that had 50 scripts and he was trying to sell to ABC.. So the same way the present TV series have a lot of creatives which dilute the experience, so would have happened had George stayed in charge

That Kyle dude needs to lighten up. He is annoying af. Kind of guy that gives nerds a bad rap. Whines about you can’t tell fans what to believe and then says you’re not a fan if you don’t believe what he does.
The show did a great job of not spoon feeding the audience like most of Star Wars. They are letting you decide who are the villains and heroes. Life is messy and this is as well but in a good way.
Very Happy that this atrocious series is finally over....oh wait, a second season.....Nooooooooooooo!!!!!!
