This is the trivia episode we wanted to see ever since the first one aired, and it did not disappoint. Was smiling and laughing the whole way through, some of the best content they’ve ever created. 10/10.
I actually watched TNG because these two wouldn't shut up about it.... And I loved it, the start is rough but it gets much much better. Loved all the diplomacy/talking episodes like "Measure of a Man". I see why it's considered a classic.
Jay deliberating with the participants of the game on determining whether the opponents answer is reasonably close to the written answer is my highlight of this viewing. Oh my goodness. "Is this right?"
The fact that Mike is able to figure out a lot of the questions through context and thinking about things like the order of episodes is actually an incredible testament to TNG's writing, and I say this as someone who's never seen a full episode
Rich answering the "How many people were found alive... " *Jay stumbles* ... "How many people were found alive..." *Jay stumbles again* was my favorite part.
Man, the ending was amazing on so many levels. I feel the ending card explaining why mike got the question wrong sums so many things up today. Its very 'I lost, but actually won' energy.
I love the RLM crew making videos about anything they want to. They are all awesome and I find them extremely comforting. Keep doing whatever the heck you want to do!
It would be interesting to see a trivia episode that was a mix of Star Trek and Horror movie trivia. There could be two teams, one consisting of Rich and Mike (assuming they are still on speaking terms following the end of this episode) and one featuring Josh and Jay. The host could mix Star Trek and horror movie trivia together, making it a mystery on what genre of question would be asked next, preventing either team from having an advantage over the other
Alternatively, each team could consist of one Star Trek person and one horror movie person (i.e. Mike and Josh being on one team and Jay and Rich on the other so that each team is more balanced)
Mike had to go through every Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street movie to do two Trivia episodes with Jay. It would be only fair (and interesting) if Jay had to watch at least one Star Trek series to do a proper Trivia with Mike this time.
@@marko112kgSame! I love SF but can't stand teen morality slasher movies, but I'll easily binge RLM talking about Friday the 13th, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street etc.

what an elaborate scheme to get Jay to finally understand all those trek references. Well played.
And thanks to this exercise, he now understands all of them
*stares at camera*
Jay deliberating with the participants of the game on determining whether the opponents answer is reasonably close to the written answer is my highlight of this viewing. Oh my goodness.
"Is this right?"
The way Rich is waring his glasses and looking at that card makes him look like a senior citizen looking over the menu at Denny’s.
Just like el captain Kirk
Like the old librarian at a middle school that wears that same suit jacket with shoulder pads that Joan Crawford would die for.
The fact that Mike is able to figure out a lot of the questions through context and thinking about things like the order of episodes is actually an incredible testament to TNG's writing, and I say this as someone who's never seen a full episode
Of all the trivia episodes, this was probably the most entertaining one. More of this, please!
It was the most...human.
Agreed. Mike was done dirty.
Rich answering the "How many people were found alive... " *Jay stumbles* ... "How many people were found alive..." *Jay stumbles again* was my favorite part.
mike’s addendum in the credits had me rolling on the floor, i love these guys
I always suspected Rich to know more about Star Trek than Mike and this PROVES it.
The surprise on mikes face when he finds out it was lor and not data is priceless
Even I knew that one
The look of genuine horror on Mike's face at the last question will haunt my dreams forever
13:01 We've been joking about how old our heroes are. But when the reading glasses came out, it became all too real.
These are so much fun, I would watch the other 9 episodes if they actually made them.
it's so inspiring to see mike take part in this quiz despite his case of bendy syndrome
Is that where as he gets older, his ability to bend diminishes? Because I have that as well, on account of being fat.
Watching this go more off the rails as it went on was incredible.
Mike's anger at the end gives me so much joy.
43:16 I don't think I have ever once seen Mike make this face. A truly stupendous ending.
Man, the ending was amazing on so many levels. I feel the ending card explaining why mike got the question wrong sums so many things up today. Its very 'I lost, but actually won' energy.
The actual proudest moment of my life was knowing that Miles hurt himself kayaking when even MIKE didn't know
Prob you watch ds9, there are kayak references in there too, that is why I knew the answer.
Jay’s obvious distain for Star Trek makes this whole episode glorious.
Qapla'
He takes great pride in his ignorance.
His mispronunciations are what I enjoy most. Is that schadenfreude?
It's so satisfying to see people be really good at something they love
Drinking?

I'm 30 minutes into this video and I've never seen one episode of Star Trek NG. That is how much I enjoy watching these guys have a good time.
Same with me and Friday 13
@@marko112kgSame! I love SF but can't stand teen morality slasher movies, but I'll easily binge RLM talking about Friday the 13th, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street etc.
Yeah I actually watch TNG, but never seen a Freddy, Halloween or Friday the 13th movie yet watched all the re:views and trivia. Something wonderful about these videos.
Mike’s use of context clues and logic to solve anything could use Star Trek trivia to find missing flights and Amelia Earhart.
Jay slowly being indoctrinated into the Star Trek cult is borderline experimental
It's great.
David Lynch's Star Trek...
The Q episodes would be a fkn trip.
Saying stuff is borderline experimental is borderline experimental
@@hankyboy42594 .....you just fkd my mind man
That's the power of math
I dont want this to be the first and last episode of this. Jay has been the funniest host of trivia and Mike and Rich are perfect comedy duo.
This…
Actual peak content, I would watch another 30 episodes of this particular chaos. The emotional swings 😆 🤣
nothing makes me happier than watching mike talk about his 'special interests'. i've watched this three times already. UTTER JOY.
Between Mike's special interests and Rich's special needs... the only other thing that could make this episiode more special, would be a leering Jay, standing their dressed as an STD.
Merry Christmas?
I hope they are serious at the end where it says "Game 1 of 10"
Because this was great!
