    Ingredients
    Milk 1 litre
    Sugar 1/4 cup
    Almonds 30g
    Pistachios 30g
    Cardamom pods 4-5
    Saffron a pinch
    Method
    1. Chop the almonds and pistachios into small pieces
    2. Dry roast the chopped nuts till they turn golden brown in color and keep them aside
    3. In a kadai/ large pot, add the milk and let it boil
    4. Once the milk comes to a boil, add saffron strands, roasted nuts and mix well
    5. Let the milk reduce to half its quantity
    6. Add powdered cardamom and mix well
    7. Let it boil for 15 mins and turn off the stove
    8. Transfer it to serving cups and refrigerate it for 2 hrs minimum
    9. Serve the Basundhi chilled
    10. You can garnish it with chopped nuts or rose petals and serve them
