Shrimp's oddysey is pretty underrated. When you dissect it, it best depicts Pim and Charlie's different ways of working and thinking, with Charlie being a realist and Pim and idealist. Also ngl David Firth nailed every single line delivery. Also ngl I feel like a lot of season 2 episodes struggle with pacing, having to rush through plots way too much instead of being allowed to truly explore the concepts they introduce. It really put me off most S2 episodes, specially Brother's egg. (at least in comparation of S1)
Brother’s Egg tried a similar format where Charlie and Pim split up but was not executed very well, probably due to time constraints. The Shrimp episode is much better

Mr President and the alien episode you can tell where some scenes had to be trimmed and boy brother's egg just has way too much padding. (I have no problems with episodes 3,4,7 and 8 those have perfect pacing)
@@Coconut_Prrson i completely disagree, the alien episode and mr president felt like they explored their concepts well gwimbly was rushed but the concept was so good that i didnt mind it episode 4 and more 7 felt way too fast paced constantly switching, episode 7 specifically felt really short and fast paced and that they didnt really give any time to spamtopia
that's the beauty of smiling friends, one person's least favorite episode is someone else's favorite. There have not been any bad episodes of this series so far.
I figured that with my best friend because the episodes I really enjoyed he didn’t as much, and vice versa. And then the jokes he liked I didn’t care as much for, and vice versa. Yet we still love the show.

It's hard to top the pilot episode "Desmond's Day Out" for me (such an oddly optimistic piece of media among adult animation), but the Gwimbly episode comes really close for me. In terms of funniest, the President Jimble episode had me laughing the most

Its like the Rorschach test that Zach has mentioned a few times, each person makes something different of the episodes and shows how the individuals humor is shaped, it's a pretty good show if it can do that.

I love the chaos at the end of the episode and the jump scare waitress bringing pim his water. I just love all the jump scares in this show for some reason.

Agreed on most of these. I thought Season 2 was better than Season 1 overall, but had one big low with the President Jimble episode that was probably my least favorite of the series. Only thing I’d bump up is the Spamtopia episode tbh

Damn, Shrimp Oddessy and Simon S Salty are my favorites of season 1 and Magical Red Jewel was arguably my favorite of season 2. This list has personal problems with me specifically
I don't dislike any episode tbh I think they're all really funny and great but my list would be something like. 17. Enchanted Forest This one just wasn't that funny to me and I found Mip more annoying than anything. 16. Charlie, Pim, and Bill vs The Alien This one had really cool visuals with a great joke at the end but I feel like the entire episode before that one joke was kinda. boring. 15. Who Violently Murdered Simon S. Salty? It's fine. Just doesn't hit as well as other episodes. 14. Brother's Egg I honestly hate the brother character. He just infuriated me more than anything most of the episode. Big fan of Psychotic tho. 13. A Silly Halloween Special It's an alright episode. Gorgeous work on the forest creature too. Genuinely looks super cool. 12. Pim Finally Turns Green I mostly just love the bits of Charlie talking in this episode. Rotten was. Annoying. 11. The Smiling Friends Go To Brazil! This one is really entertaining idk. Just the entire episode being the realistic dialogue got me the first watch. 10. Shrimp's Oddysey Just a solid episode. I keep saying "how do I look, yellow man?" irl too lol 9. Charlie Dies And Doesn't Come Back Satan being a discord user who vapes is such a good bit. Also Charlie's grandma.... 8. Gwimbly: Definitive Remastered Enhanced Extended Edition DX 4k (Anniversary Director's Cut) I love how the two stories blended together this episode, even if it was just a simple meeting at the end. Gwimbly is great. 7. The Magical Red Jewel AKA Tyler Gets Fired Spamtopia is genuinely so cool. I adore it and it's design in every way. Boss being a star in this episode is great too. Overall just really good. 6. Erm, The Boss Finds Love? Love the references to internet culture (Nostalgia Critic, I Feel Fantastic) and overall just extremely funny. Probably my favorite post credits scene in the entire series too. 5. Mr. Frog Great second episode for the show. So chaotic and Mr Frog is hilariously evil. Also Glep gets to be adorable. 4. Mr. President I feel like most people I've seen mention it dislike this episode. Maybe I just laugh too easily at gross things but this episode was hilarious the entire way through fir me. Seeing President Jimble get increasingly more disgusting through the entire thing. The actor who played him nailed it. "That was my adult diaper to prevent me from having another bad accident due to the bad lamb." 3. Desmond's Big Day Out Genuinely just the perfect pilot for the show. Includes everything Smiling Friends is about and does it near perfectly. But I personally prefer a couple episodes over it. 2. Frowning Friends Grim and Gnarly are great, Mr. Boss is great, all the weirdo side characters are great. This episode just feels hilarious the entire way through. Plus it gives us some interesting looks at the weird creatures throughout town. 3D squeldon my beloved... 1. A Allan Adventure I love Allan. Funniest character in the show. That's all. Oh and also Mr. Landlord

Agreed on most of these. I thought Season 2 was better than Season 1 overall, but had one big low with the President Jimble episode that was probably my least favorite of the series. Only thing I’d bump up is the Spamtopia episode tbh

I respect your list but for me I like constantly marathons the show and both seasons are still so amazing to me like I can’t even begin to explain or rank my favorites to least because they all have a joke or moment or nice scene I really enjoy so I can’t really rank them apart for me maybe I could say season 1 vs season 2 and I think season 2 is better animation and joke wise but I don’t even think that’s fair as Zach and micheal said that as they work on the show they want to improve and push themselves and I can definitely see that with all the cameos and different really cool styles like the egg episode with the 2 brothers or the cool ass aliens in the space party episode or even the last episode with rotten being the voice of master shake like I absolutely love all the references and different styles , besides that I love that’s Allan got his own episode and that land lord character is such a psychic pebbles character it’s amazing so fucking funny lmao , I would randomly ask my friends if they wanted to smoke weed fill out belly’s with diet sodas and play burnout revenge for the ps2 , we actually did that one day and it was actually really damn fun lol I absolutely love the show definitely my favorite adult swim show right next to moral oral and aqua teen hunger force

I don't dislike any episode tbh I think they're all really funny and great but my list would be something like.
17. Enchanted Forest
This one just wasn't that funny to me and I found Mip more annoying than anything.
16. Charlie, Pim, and Bill vs The Alien
This one had really cool visuals with a great joke at the end but I feel like the entire episode before that one joke was kinda. boring.
15. Who Violently Murdered Simon S. Salty?
It's fine. Just doesn't hit as well as other episodes.
14. Brother's Egg
I honestly hate the brother character. He just infuriated me more than anything most of the episode. Big fan of Psychotic tho.
13. A Silly Halloween Special
It's an alright episode. Gorgeous work on the forest creature too. Genuinely looks super cool.
12. Pim Finally Turns Green
I mostly just love the bits of Charlie talking in this episode. Rotten was. Annoying.
11. The Smiling Friends Go To Brazil!
This one is really entertaining idk. Just the entire episode being the realistic dialogue got me the first watch.

Just a solid episode. I keep saying "how do I look, yellow man?" irl too lol
9. Charlie Dies And Doesn't Come Back
Satan being a discord user who vapes is such a good bit. Also Charlie's grandma....
8. Gwimbly: Definitive Remastered Enhanced Extended Edition DX 4k (Anniversary Director's Cut)
I love how the two stories blended together this episode, even if it was just a simple meeting at the end. Gwimbly is great.
7. The Magical Red Jewel AKA Tyler Gets Fired
Spamtopia is genuinely so cool. I adore it and it's design in every way. Boss being a star in this episode is great too. Overall just really good.
6. Erm, The Boss Finds Love?
Love the references to internet culture (Nostalgia Critic, I Feel Fantastic) and overall just extremely funny. Probably my favorite post credits scene in the entire series too.
5. Mr. Frog
Great second episode for the show. So chaotic and Mr Frog is hilariously evil. Also Glep gets to be adorable.
4. Mr. President
I feel like most people I've seen mention it dislike this episode. Maybe I just laugh too easily at gross things but this episode was hilarious the entire way through fir me. Seeing President Jimble get increasingly more disgusting through the entire thing. The actor who played him nailed it. "That was my adult diaper to prevent me from having another bad accident due to the bad lamb."
3. Desmond's Big Day Out
Genuinely just the perfect pilot for the show. Includes everything Smiling Friends is about and does it near perfectly. But I personally prefer a couple episodes over it.
2. Frowning Friends
Grim and Gnarly are great, Mr. Boss is great, all the weirdo side characters are great. This episode just feels hilarious the entire way through. Plus it gives us some interesting looks at the weird creatures throughout town. 3D squeldon my beloved...

I love Allan. Funniest character in the show. That's all. Oh and also Mr. Landlord
