      Also you can request a hard copy of your labs if you go to a dr. That’s how I keep up with mine. Much easier to keep in a file just in case I need to bring it to the hospital or another doctor in emergencies. Plus with all the stuff coming up missing in files online, not having to worry over that.

    I have the same pattern on lipid panel - high HDL & LDL and normal triglycerides- i was on the med but i stopped taking it and started carnivore 4 mos ago - need to check the numbers again but your comment was super helpful to understand! Thank you again!

    Didn’t know I could order my own blood work!! I 100 percent agree that everyone should wear a CGL it is such a clear way of seeing how foods are affecting you, seems like a no brainer to me.

    I am a LMHR too up in the 300’s. I was already quite lean going into carnivore.
    Ferritin is worth the test! Mine keeps trending higher and higher as well as high liver ALT AST.
    At a cross roads not sure what’s going on.
    Dr Berry does a good explanation vid on ferritin saying it’s an inflamm marker. If all other iron markers is normal.

    I have a cgm too, if you sleep on your sensor or cuddle up, your readings will drop super low. Also heat will mess with the way your sensor reads I.e hot tubs, showers

    Divide triglycerides by HDL and that ration needs to be under 1.0 and can go 0.76

    @6:45 do you use herbs still?
    I always try to have fish half the time with cilantro because I know that the heavy metals bind to it.

    Wife and I looking to start Carnivore next couple days. What tests should we do to get a baseline? Nothing crazy I guess. I checked their website and sooo many options! 😵‍💫

      Hello and welcome! I recommend A1c, comprehensive metabolic panel, fasting insulin, lipid panel, vitamin D, and C-reactive protein (hsCRP) as a good baseline.

      Hello! I have shown that several times. Cant remember off the top of my head, but I think the last time I checked was the end of August 2023 and they were 100. Again, ApoB carrying particles such as LDL-C are not causal in heart disease, so I am not concerned with ApoB.

    My HDL fluctuates with my workout length, if I get a couple of 2-3 hr mtn bike rides before my blood draw my HDL will be up around 80 otherwise it’ll be around 60 my tri’s are in the 50’s also.

      Ive noticed that exercise right before a blood test affects my numbers as well. I think the recommendation is to do only light exercise beforehand, like a walk

    0.68 trig:HDL ratio is awesome. Similar with my but my LDL is 400 lol.
    I have pattern A LDL, so I don’t care.

    Thank you for this video. I just had a blood test and my C reactive protein is .81 and said it was high. My dr wants to talk to me. I’ve only been carnivore for almost 2 months

    I just had my labs done and everything improved but my RDW and MPV under cbc were high. Dunno what that’s about. Also my BUN and creatinine ratio were high but maybe that’s because of the protein I eat. I dunno. 😢

      I had the BUN/creatinine ratio high for one of my tests, but it was normal the next month. Sometimes there are anomalies for a multitude of reasons. I would just retest in a month or two to see if it is still off

      I’ve been watching your videos often on and on since you first started carnivore and the long-term change you’ve made is quite dramatic. Congratulations.
      I’ve been on carnivore nearly 2 years.. and now at my ideal weight of 170 after losing 45 pounds. I weigh the same as in 10th grade and I’m a young 62. :)

    Do you measure thyroid function? Low thyroid function can cause fatigue.

    Jenny, i watched this video when you first posted it. What about APO B? Have you ever done this test? Im going for blood work next month and this test is included. Ive been mostly ketovore since last fall. Im 65, not overweight anymore, not on any meds but i had the expected lipids at the last test over a month ago. Im worried about this apo b test.

      Hello! I have had ApoB tested, but I am not concerned about it. Cholesterol is not causal in heart disease, while insulin resistance is. So as long as my triglycerides are low and HDL high, and my fasting insulin and glucose are good, I am happy :)

And then my one year bloodwork video has a lot of really great information about lean mass hyper responders, who are people that see their cholesterol number skyrocket on carnivore👍🏻👍🏻

    Just eat a lot of oreos and it will lower your LDL tremendously. That is what it is all about according to mainstream doctors. Gain 50 pounds eating oreos, but it is just fine as long as your LDL is lower.

      @darringrey4329 my recent bood test showed LDL over 300, HDL is 94 and Triglyceride is 44, then I need not to be worried at all? I just started carnivore diet after the blood work was done and I had a low carb diet mainly chicken breast and eggs and veggies and occassionally startchy carbs like sweet potato once a week prior to carnivore diet. I wonder what my lipid profile would be like in 3 months

    Jenny Got a question so I been Carnivore for like 2 In a half months blood pressure still at the mid 140's deep breathing makes it to the mid 130's sometimes top number. The bottom be around 90 to 93. What can be the issue still in that range ? even last night it went to 152 top number. Especially since I walk everyday and drink alot of water

      I would suggest upping your electrolytes. Also, it takes time for blood pressure to adjust. Were/are you taking meds for it?

      @@JennyMitich No meds I'm doing it natural hibiscus tea and Hawthorn Berries. It use to be 160's to but I stopped drinking alcohol. What are some zero carb zero sugar electrolytes to try?

    Another great video... I'm desperate for information the root (no pun intended) of MAJOR HAIR LOSS since slowly transitioning to carnivore on 8/01/23. The hair loss has been more recent since March 2024. Very depressing

      @@JennyMitich yes, but even prior to seeing your video, I had researched telogen effluvium but it doesn't helped with the supposed guarantee that the telogen hairs will eventually grow back,

      @@gumgirlcam9719 yea, that’s true. Plus you don’t really know if it was telogen effluvium, it could be anything. My hair is growing back and it is healthier than it was before, about one year has passed since my hair fell out.
