The most intelligent UA-camr with lots of good information.
Thank you so much!
💯 she’s amazing!
I beg to differ! Dr Berry, Dr Chaffee, Dr Steve Baker
@@johnnafarrell3336 Yes, they too are very good. Maybe I should have specified a non doctor.
Coming to realize this I keep searching online to see if she's a Dr 😂
Omg 😳 absolutely no gatekeeping here. 😩 You are amazing. I'm bout to heal tf outta myself lol. Thank you Jenny!!!
Youre very welcome!
Own your labs is the best thing I’ve discovered! It’s so cheap and the results come to you not your doctor! Totally private. I always do my bloodwork monthly.
Thanks for sharing
Also you can request a hard copy of your labs if you go to a dr. That’s how I keep up with mine. Much easier to keep in a file just in case I need to bring it to the hospital or another doctor in emergencies. Plus with all the stuff coming up missing in files online, not having to worry over that.
They are wonderful! And the owners are great people too.
Hello! Yes, all of your results are downloadable and printable in the Labcorp app.
Your approach is so similar mine.
Really appreciate your descriptions
Glad it was helpful!
I have the same pattern on lipid panel - high HDL & LDL and normal triglycerides- i was on the med but i stopped taking it and started carnivore 4 mos ago - need to check the numbers again but your comment was super helpful to understand! Thank you again!
Im glad it was helpful :)
Didn’t know I could order my own blood work!! I 100 percent agree that everyone should wear a CGL it is such a clear way of seeing how foods are affecting you, seems like a no brainer to me.
Its great! I am ordering some more bloodwork as we speak :) and yes, CGMs are awesome, I know Ive learned a lot
What is cgl new to carnivore want to start but don't know where.
Thanks for sharing! :)
I am a LMHR too up in the 300’s. I was already quite lean going into carnivore.
Ferritin is worth the test! Mine keeps trending higher and higher as well as high liver ALT AST.
At a cross roads not sure what’s going on.
Dr Berry does a good explanation vid on ferritin saying it’s an inflamm marker. If all other iron markers is normal.
Hello! I am testing my ferritin next week. Its never been high, wondering if it will be this time :)
Great video! I am very grateful ! I don't like needles, so I just follow yours lol...
Thank you Kyle! I dont like them either but I love the data LOL
Great job Jenny, thanks for posting this!
8+ months on carnivore for me :)
Thank you so much!
Excellent info thank you
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I love you for doing this. Learning so much. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Outstanding video as always! 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome video as always! The flashing lights in the background didn’t bother me whatsoever 😅 great job ❤
Wow, Jenny, this is just great information! Thank you so much.
You are so welcome!
Thank you for the update. I saved the video so I can use your codes when I buy my own labs.
Great!
Thank you for what your doing.! You are helping so many overcome the fears of going carnivore. Keep the videos coming!!!
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much for the info and the discount code. Finally I can get the tests my doctor won’t prescribe. I feel liberated.
Youre very welcome!
You taking one (or many):for us Carnivores is very useful……thank you for going the extra mile ❤🇦🇺👍🥩
My pleasure!
Just found your channel. Thanks or the info on the lab facility!!!
You are so welcome!
Beautiful lipid numbers im close but need to inprove trigs a little more.
I have a cgm too, if you sleep on your sensor or cuddle up, your readings will drop super low. Also heat will mess with the way your sensor reads I.e hot tubs, showers
Thanks for the tips!
Divide triglycerides by HDL and that ration needs to be under 1.0 and can go 0.76
@6:45 do you use herbs still?
I always try to have fish half the time with cilantro because I know that the heavy metals bind to it.
Hello! I do use herbs. Great tip!
LOVE THIS! Do you have any silver fillings?
Thanks! I do not
Love your videos, but agree with another watcher, a plain background when showing the labs would be easier on the eyes.
Wife and I looking to start Carnivore next couple days. What tests should we do to get a baseline? Nothing crazy I guess. I checked their website and sooo many options! 😵💫
Hello and welcome! I recommend A1c, comprehensive metabolic panel, fasting insulin, lipid panel, vitamin D, and C-reactive protein (hsCRP) as a good baseline.
@JennyMitich Awesome, thank you Jenny!
Thanks for sharing. Do you have particle size for the various types of cholesterol?
Hello! I dont do that test every time around, but they are always large and buoyant when I do.
still waiting for a carnivore to show their apob numbers
Hello! I have shown that several times. Cant remember off the top of my head, but I think the last time I checked was the end of August 2023 and they were 100. Again, ApoB carrying particles such as LDL-C are not causal in heart disease, so I am not concerned with ApoB.
My HDL fluctuates with my workout length, if I get a couple of 2-3 hr mtn bike rides before my blood draw my HDL will be up around 80 otherwise it’ll be around 60 my tri’s are in the 50’s also.
Ive noticed that exercise right before a blood test affects my numbers as well. I think the recommendation is to do only light exercise beforehand, like a walk
0.68 trig:HDL ratio is awesome. Similar with my but my LDL is 400 lol.
I have pattern A LDL, so I don’t care.
Thank you Jenny for this. I am waking up and using the elliptical and I was wondering if I missed something in your video, what did you attribute your fatigue to?
Hello! I talk about it in another video, it was magnesium deficiency due to high levels of vitamin D supplementation, or at least I think it was that. Here is the video where I talk about it: ua-cam.com/video/eU3miCS4CcY/v-deo.htmlsi=omtG1tJlePJI6w1e
@@JennyMitich thank you so much. I will look for it, I have a feeling that's what's happening with me.
Thank you for this video. I just had a blood test and my C reactive protein is .81 and said it was high. My dr wants to talk to me. I’ve only been carnivore for almost 2 months
Hello! .81 is good, you want it to be under 1
Hi Jenny thank you for your helpful information - have you ever checked cortisone level and fasting insulin levels? I don't think i have you mentioned those values in this video. But i might have missed them. 🙏
Hello! Yes, I have tested both. I dont test them every time though because they are always in range
I just had my labs done and everything improved but my RDW and MPV under cbc were high. Dunno what that’s about. Also my BUN and creatinine ratio were high but maybe that’s because of the protein I eat. I dunno. 😢
I had the BUN/creatinine ratio high for one of my tests, but it was normal the next month. Sometimes there are anomalies for a multitude of reasons. I would just retest in a month or two to see if it is still off
What does your Dr. think about your LDL?
My doc thought my LDL-C was high when it was 170.
You appear to be in great metabolic shape. Enjoy!
Thank you so much! Im feeling good :)
I’ve been watching your videos often on and on since you first started carnivore and the long-term change you’ve made is quite dramatic. Congratulations.
I’ve been on carnivore nearly 2 years.. and now at my ideal weight of 170 after losing 45 pounds. I weigh the same as in 10th grade and I’m a young 62. :)
Avid cyclist.
@@dsonyay thank you😀😀
It was so nice to meet you!! You are so nice.. enjoyed meeting your husband as well. We took a pic and chatted near the air fryer. Take care!
@@dsonyay hey!! It was so nice to meet you too😀😀😀now I’ve got a face to go along with the name!
Do you measure thyroid function? Low thyroid function can cause fatigue.
Hello! I have in the past, but not recently. Everything has always been good. I will have to run those test again in a future test :)
See Dan Vas videos recent on health. He was literally being poisoned with heavy metal. He said the labs did not reflect the degree of his poisoning.
Jenny, i watched this video when you first posted it. What about APO B? Have you ever done this test? Im going for blood work next month and this test is included. Ive been mostly ketovore since last fall. Im 65, not overweight anymore, not on any meds but i had the expected lipids at the last test over a month ago. Im worried about this apo b test.
Hello! I have had ApoB tested, but I am not concerned about it. Cholesterol is not causal in heart disease, while insulin resistance is. So as long as my triglycerides are low and HDL high, and my fasting insulin and glucose are good, I am happy :)
@@JennyMitich I know this health care professional is worried about and doesn't understand it. I guess I better start gathering some data.
@@nancykennedy9397 have you watched my six month bloodwork video? I do a deep dive into cholesterol in the first half of that video, that’s definitely worth a watch. And then my one year bloodwork video has a lot of really great information about lean mass hyper responders, who are people that see their cholesterol number skyrocket on carnivore👍🏻👍🏻
So what was ultimately causing the fatigue you said you were having?
Hello! I was supplementing with high levels of vitamin D over the winter and I think that sapped my magnesium stores. Here is a video where I talk about it: ua-cam.com/video/eU3miCS4CcY/v-deo.html
@@JennyMitich awesome! Thanks alot
Just eat a lot of oreos and it will lower your LDL tremendously. That is what it is all about according to mainstream doctors. Gain 50 pounds eating oreos, but it is just fine as long as your LDL is lower.
I love Nick Norwitz's work, great experiment
My LDL is over 500 the technician must of spat sum coffee at that
😂😂😂 thinking walking heart attack
@darringrey4329 my recent bood test showed LDL over 300, HDL is 94 and Triglyceride is 44, then I need not to be worried at all? I just started carnivore diet after the blood work was done and I had a low carb diet mainly chicken breast and eggs and veggies and occassionally startchy carbs like sweet potato once a week prior to carnivore diet. I wonder what my lipid profile would be like in 3 months
Why would it be so high then? Sugar sweetener dairy seed oils? @@karen_yee
Do you check your ketones? Are you mostly in ketosis?
Hello! I just started checking my ketones in March. I am in ketosis most of the time, but its been interesting.
I'm lost
Jenny Got a question so I been Carnivore for like 2 In a half months blood pressure still at the mid 140's deep breathing makes it to the mid 130's sometimes top number. The bottom be around 90 to 93. What can be the issue still in that range ? even last night it went to 152 top number. Especially since I walk everyday and drink alot of water
I would suggest upping your electrolytes. Also, it takes time for blood pressure to adjust. Were/are you taking meds for it?
@@JennyMitich No meds I'm doing it natural hibiscus tea and Hawthorn Berries. It use to be 160's to but I stopped drinking alcohol. What are some zero carb zero sugar electrolytes to try?
@@Midwest374 ok cool! Well, it is going down so that’s good. It does take some time so just continue what you’re doing. I use the raw unflavored LMNT. There are lots of other brands out there as well, but that’s the one that I use😀
@@JennyMitich what does LMNT stand for and who sells it? Any major store chain's?
@@Midwest374 LMNT is the brand. I don’t think it’s sold in stores, only online. If you want my affiliate link I can comment it here, you get a free sample pack with any order. Just let me know😀
Another great video... I'm desperate for information the root (no pun intended) of MAJOR HAIR LOSS since slowly transitioning to carnivore on 8/01/23. The hair loss has been more recent since March 2024. Very depressing
Hello! Did you watch my hair loss video?
@@JennyMitich yes, but even prior to seeing your video, I had researched telogen effluvium but it doesn't helped with the supposed guarantee that the telogen hairs will eventually grow back,
@@gumgirlcam9719 yea, that’s true. Plus you don’t really know if it was telogen effluvium, it could be anything. My hair is growing back and it is healthier than it was before, about one year has passed since my hair fell out.
Can drink protein shakes
Hello! Sure, just read the ingredients labels, lots of sneaky ingredients in protein powders
Organic ingredients you can check it out too, flacity protein
Common sense labs a book by Dr Ken berry
Background should go
You didn't tell us what was causing you feeling fatigued.
Hello! I talk about it in a bunch of other videos, it ended up being magnesium because I was taking high levels of vitamin D over the winter.
@@JennyMitich Thanks for sharing.
@@JennyMitich low magnesium?
@@pamanderson1417 I think so! Here’s the video where I talk about it in detail, it’s a short one: ua-cam.com/video/eU3miCS4CcY/v-deo.htmlsi=D1jbs7sYqjzsFoKl
I wanted to watch your videos but you have flashing stuff in them and I have epilepsy. :(
Hello and sorry about that!
Can you talk slower you talk so fast it's hard to comprehend?
Hello! You can slow down the speed of the video by going into settings :)
That blinking background is very annoying and distracting. Is it necessary????? Have to stop watching.
I can agree with this. Halfway through and my eyes are starting to hurt. Listening now.
I can't imagine how it would feel if I were watching this laying in bed before sleeping, thankfully Im watching mid day lol
Cry me river. Really??? Lol
