I sure hope you were kidding when you were busting on Alex from LSC, that guy is legit, works and Improved every car he works on and he's a great guy, gives car's to People in need for nothing, doesn't make you buy merch just a Great Person.
This guy is absolutely unreal when he points to the McLaren and says “this one really wasn’t that hard. Just remove and replace.” What a short memory !! You should make one long video of that McLaren salvage as a reminder to yourself, your family, and your fans. Great merch.
Worked in a lab with compressed gas cylinders . #1 rule is never leave them unsecured because if you knock them over and the valve breaks you will be FU as they become missiles . Be safe young man you have a long life to live and I love watching you at work . As for the steering rack maybe try a good machinist who can fab parts and I am sure they would not be $20,000 . Have you tried the steering rack manufacturer to see if they can cross reference it to another car manufacturer or at least certain parts of it ? I do not think Ferrari is manufacturing their own racks. Good luck !
Wow you are so talented and the things you're doing here are pretty amazing. I found your channel from Sam's video and was so impressed that I subscribed. Keep doing what you're doing my man! Cheers mate!
This was my thought. Unless the whole unit is bent, I'd try and find a way to repair or have something fabricated. 22k for a new one can kiss my whole entire ass
For that steering rack try Alfa Romao parts and I don't now if you missed that top frame tube that is dented and bent from the frame on the driver's side where you just fixed bro, but definitely check other cars for that steering rack it could be a Volvo you never know.
I specialize in fixing, machining , rebuilding parts that are not available . The old rack can be fixed, the hard part is aligning the old mounts on a jig to match the frame....fb advanced mobile power
Work your magic is a great term because you are a pioneer in rebuilding these supercars by doing stuff that was previously thought to be impossible. That fresh mind is just creating new ways to rebuild. Thank you Ben.
Excellent work today Ben, and product (vevo) drop was on the money. M2, Mustang, Ferrari; etc. Great projects happening. Keep em' coming! 😎.....this thought came after, but have you considered 3d printing for the steering rack?
Ben seems like a long time since we saw you working on the Ford or Ferrari. Its now good you are back on track and admire your focus on the future progress where you don't seem put off finishing the rebuild. Looking forward to continuation of videos and you demonstrating your skill and ability
Heck purchase a Steering Rack from Jeggs or Summit and make custom brackets to hold it, or take the original do a bunch of welding to it and have the inside housing area lightly machined. Keep Orange Crushing It!
You should look into someone who can 3d model and do the metal casting of it. Probably could find someone to make the cast metal parts from scratch for a lot less than $20k
Love watching your channel. I moved from Florida to the Philippines a year ago and I really miss the availability of cars and trucks. That said today's show got me a good chuckle thinking only in the USA will you find a young guy fabricating parts for a Ferrari in his garage! 😅
Take the steering rack apart get the outer case remoulded and cast, then take it to machine shop to have it machined using the broken one as template, definitely not cost thousands, just time, recasting is easier than trying to find a needle In a haystack.
Hey vtuned very nice good job Ferrari fixing for Sam Carc Ferrari 599 I love like watching on UA-cam channel make videos for fan I love like support and number one ☝️
That sucks about that steering rack maybe you can find someone that can scan it and make the part or maybe find one that's matching or something are good fabricator and I could work or you got good keep up the good work man
12:28 "tape clamps" use that all the time in woodworking. Clear packing tape is good because it stretches and contracts. Not so good for welding though.
Are you going to fix or replace the round bar that goes above the top right control arm bushing to the frame and goes across to the top hinge on the driver's door? there is a Kink in it
You can just cut a hole in the frame for the sensor to fit in!!!! Or try cutting up the good rack and shaping the good parts to the old rack graphting the two together
When you were working on the McLaren you had to "rebuild" a bracket, mount or some sort of support. If you remember what was the product that you used to rebuild that part. Wish I had made a memo as to which episode you mentioned what product you used.
More time for more video's :) you'll get it finished one day great metal work as always thx for taking time for all your videos in your busy life much appreciation.
I feel like a machine shop could make the necessary adjustments to the steering rack...although it's not very clear from what you showed how much interference there would be with respect to the sensor or whatever
No, the green flame is from running 5356 wire … when you weld that the 5% magnesium in that wire burns green ….. When you weld 4043 the flame is mainly white with a hint of light blue.
It seems like a company called Lizarte in Italy is oem to ferrari. The housing of the rack is broken. There are lots of used and new for between 1 and 7k on line. 201481 and av0898 are the part numbers that show up. The 201481 is ferrari no. The other number may be lizarte or the oem. Subject to verification
Ben you are a smart guy, I am sure you will figure out a solution to the steering rack. Just think outside the box. Might be time to CNC your own parts
Search for the steering rack part number on the internet, i guarantee it is a part that is used from another vehicle in the FIAT family, most likely a Alfa Romeo
The trick to welding aluminum is to get it as clean as u can IE with a wire wheel sandpaper or scotch brite and wipe down with acetone before welding and it will weld 1000xs better but those weld actually came out pretty dam good for some of the materials being old and contaminated your getting really good at mig welding aluminum 👍🏼💪🏼💯
Can you weld the old rack back together? Would it leak? Just sayin you got some skills. So satisfying to watch that go back together the way you did it.
Ben get a professional welder to tig weld the tabs back on the rack it will be as strong as oem and later sam can look for a rack this will work and get you guys out of a pickle or take it to a rack refurbisher they will probally do the same repair cheers from down under
Following all this video content with tips to rebuild cars, I consider rebuilding an SUV from a family member that was unfortunate to crash it into a ditch. After some quick observation, I was quick to conclude rebuilding it wouldn't worth it. In conclusion, rebuilding a car makes more sense if it's minor damage, the car was very cheap to began, or for video content.
😂broski that’s what I always worry about when I see these videos, when you be disassembling everything, like when you put it back together, to know where everything goes! That makes me nervous! Love how you said, “I don’t know where everything goes!” Was literally thinking that before you said it. My honest brother. I enjoy these builds broski.
you can install any streering rack what have this car, no big job change bracket bolt points new, you can cut and weld all good, and if sensor have big you can build frame new, only cutting little somewere and weld and ready. all not need be perfect genuine parts. can add all in.
Perhaps in the future V tuned Should consider opening up a learning center of sorts Teach others how to perform these types of repairs. Keep up the good work👍🤙
You could machine the newer rack pretty easy, I have seen it done, great though, just not much info so you tried and we'rent far from success. You will need wether a friend with a cnc or a big drill adapter but its doeable very easy. worst case if you feel comfy with a whizz(dremel), you could use the carbide tips and make the clearance, but make sure to cover the inside and clean the parts twice or thrice after to not have debris or metal shaving in the rack!
It's such a headache that's why I sent it to you!
Send Ben more subscribers to make it up to him. 😁
Definitely the guy for the job inhand
At the very least you could schedule him a visit from Step-Mom🤪
Send at lot more to him. Ben brain can make everything work and find solutions
I sure hope you were kidding when you were busting on Alex from LSC, that guy is legit, works and Improved every car he works on and he's a great guy, gives car's to People in need for nothing, doesn't make you buy merch just a Great Person.

Love this guy's work ethic and attitude towards projects, truly inspiring. Well done young brother 👍🏿
same here

You still need to fix the tubular shock tower support bar, it's kinked pretty good.
Glad you mentioned that. I would be concerned about the front end alignment looking at that if it has kinked from front on pressure. 👍
Wow you are so talented and the things you're doing here are pretty amazing. I found your channel from Sam's video and was so impressed that I subscribed. Keep doing what you're doing my man! Cheers mate!

Dude your work is so good!
This car is like putting a puzzle together lol. You are the best shot at this car returning to the road Ben !
Good job Ben on Sam's Ferrari. It's coming along well. 😊
Take those rack and pinion parts to a machine shop and see if they can mill that shoulder down somewhat. I think you can make it work.
This was my thought. Unless the whole unit is bent, I'd try and find a way to repair or have something fabricated. 22k for a new one can kiss my whole entire ass

Excellent work today Ben, and product (vevo) drop was on the money. M2, Mustang, Ferrari; etc. Great projects happening. Keep em' coming! 😎.....this thought came after, but have you considered 3d printing for the steering rack?
OMG.. That Mustang looks GOOOOOOD!
Quality repair. Better than OEM! Not that I will ever be able to afford a Ferrari but some of there work from factory looks terrible
Ben seems like a long time since we saw you working on the Ford or Ferrari. Its now good you are back on track and admire your focus on the future progress where you don't seem put off finishing the rebuild. Looking forward to continuation of videos and you demonstrating your skill and ability
V tune the one man body man, master of the body shop, not afraid to tackle any project, samcrac put the best man on the job.👍👍

Ben you can machine to match steering rack part. Replacing part shoulder is bigger so machine it down to size. God luck.
Hi Ben,
Polish fella has steering rack in Dubai,
Ive said to you couple weeks before,
Take care Ben
Love watching your channel. I moved from Florida to the Philippines a year ago and I really miss the availability of cars and trucks. That said today's show got me a good chuckle thinking only in the USA will you find a young guy fabricating parts for a Ferrari in his garage! 😅
Just a thought. Have you looked at the Fiat range of steering racks. You may find one that would fit and far cheaper.
With your skills, I am surprised that you have not tried welding the broken tabs back on the steering rack.
my guy...you knocked out that panel on that m2.....looks like it was never damaged...youve improved alot veeee
Looking great the builds , keep focused on the exotic s ,
Take the steering rack apart get the outer case remoulded and cast, then take it to machine shop to have it machined using the broken one as template, definitely not cost thousands, just time, recasting is easier than trying to find a needle In a haystack.

So young but so good, Love his work

Bro! Lovin the wheels on the Mustang!
thank you. Nice to see you are back
You can just cut a hole in the frame for the sensor to fit in!!!! Or try cutting up the good rack and shaping the good parts to the old rack graphting the two together
for the steering rack rebuild, it would have been interesting if you talked us through what you were doing
The flares on the Mustang I don't like, but its your car. 😁 I can't wait to see the end product so maybe it'll look better in the end.
Not a Samcrac fan but enjoying vTunes content for sure!
Agreed. I got bored with Samcrac. V tuned however is a legend
Samrac is like a 90’ s sitcom . Lame as fuck
Love the concrete work table

You did a fantastic job on the BMW quarter panel! It looked bad until you put your hands on it.
Just amazed on the talent you have for rebuilding all these different cars
More time for more video's :) you'll get it finished one day great metal work as always thx for taking time for all your videos in your busy life much appreciation.
I feel like a machine shop could make the necessary adjustments to the steering rack...although it's not very clear from what you showed how much interference there would be with respect to the sensor or whatever
Mustangs looking good bro. Can’t wait to see it smoke the tires!!!!!
Should that round tube just above where you made the repair have a kink in it like it does?
Man, you are an artist..greetings from Romania !
all the past months work and dedication have arrived. Now keep it going!
The mustang is looking good can’t wait to see you back on it.
Idk if it's just the camera but that green flame from the Aluminum welding was fascinating to me
No, the green flame is from running 5356 wire … when you weld that the 5% magnesium in that wire burns green …..
When you weld 4043 the flame is mainly white with a hint of light blue.

I think you may have a chance with a 458 or california rack
9:50 Not sure if you know this but 120 gr on a da makes a really nice smooth satin finish on aluminum...perfect for accepting paint.......
Ben, I have not seen much on your channel lately. Long time follower and looking forward to seeing the Mustang complete.
Ben you on a mission again. Thanks for sharing this update. Take care.
Love the welding on the driver side I would have finished up the passenger side two
I am always unimpressed by the poor quality of fabrication on Ferrari chassis. Ben's welding looks far better
Sam should be doing that, he's the King of Cross referencing Parts.
That certainly makes a funny noise when welding the metal
Keep improving Ben. I just knew that you were going to make that piece fit. LOL Great work dude.
Ben is the man! He’s got the skills man! Great work!
You definitely are a gifted person. Keep bringing so nice content. 👍
Can you weld the tab back on the og steering rack since it made of aluminum?
mustang looks sweet brother
The mustang looks badass!!! Can't wait for the final product.
I thought you where going to miss the zink chromate but you nailed it
I’ve been waiting for this. Front mid engined v12 Ferraris are 🤌
Nice work Veniamin!
Wow that mustang is looking sick. Great Vid.
Just purchased the Vevor endoscope.
I think its easy to fix that broken steering parts. Litle machining and tig weldind and new bushings. Its going to be as good as new.
That's why I personally would stay away from Ferrari, the older ones are constantly in repair instead of in use on the road. Great job vTuned!
The trick to welding aluminum is to get it as clean as u can IE with a wire wheel sandpaper or scotch brite and wipe down with acetone before welding and it will weld 1000xs better but those weld actually came out pretty dam good for some of the materials being old and contaminated your getting really good at mig welding aluminum 👍🏼💪🏼💯
its great to hear the mustangs still getting a bit of attention, its looking awesome ...

Possess is amazing. 👍🏻
samcrac fan here, loving you guys content
VTUN bro is back yeaahhhhh
That's amazing that you got that thing pulled out looking like that especially after you ground all the paint off it it look terrible
Good job v.t. always a lot of content and info of your cars. Very interesting and we enjoyed it.
Vevor welding blankets are sick !
Wow. Amazing work man!
Is it at all possible to get that connection on the rack machined so it could work ??!😮
a good machine shop might be able to modify the steering rack pieces to fit....
😂broski that’s what I always worry about when I see these videos, when you be disassembling everything, like when you put it back together, to know where everything goes! That makes me nervous! Can not wait until you get the Mustang done. That is going to be one sick ride.

Ben is Ferrari 🥊🥊🥊🥊👏👏👏👏👏
Mustang is looking sharp dude
Awesome job Ben 👏🏼
